Vi overcomes her depression through a cathartic encounter with Warwick/Vander and puts aside any hard feelings that she has for Piltover to help overthrow the Noxian occupation.

Caitlyn and Piltover are ultimately saved from the Noxians by Vi and Zaun, with Jinx likely sabotaging herself in some way that ruins her image as a hero of Zaun and causes her to sink even further into her post-Silco nihilism.

The shining golden details of Mel, the fact that she was right in front of the bomb when it went off, the fact that she and Jayce came out unharmed while everyone else was scarred or maimed in some fashion, and the fact that it's even mentioned as making no sense by Jayce himself. The narrative has been designed to encourage the audience to ask "how the fuck did Mel live" so it would be really weird for there to be no straight answer.

His mistake was letting Jinx crawl her way into his heart of tin and replace Zaun as his highest priority. Which is so endearing that I refuse to see it as a mistake even if it led to his death. Silco probably enjoyed these 7 years more than the rest of his life put together.

The issue with that is that the narrative makes sense without the mystery shielding. Mel dies, Ambessa feels driven to bring order to the lawless region that is responsible for her daughter's death and becomes an antagonistic figure for S2. It makes sense. Mel surviving because of mystery shielding just so that she can get kidnapped by the Black Rose to add even more complications to the story feels convoluted, unnecessary and disconnected from the rest of the story.

When a plot device prevents two major characters from dying in an important and pivotal moment, some degree of explanation is requirement. Keeping such a plot device mysterious just makes it feel like a cheap excuse to keep characters, like deus ex machina, not like a compelling mystery.

Vi marries Jayce because he’s the only one that truly supported her with the gauntlets and they adopt Orianna because Singed is dead or whatever. The end. Oh and Ekko becomes a leader of Zaun.

Zaun being a shit hole filled with criminals BEFORE Silco meant that any "nice" ways of improving the city were next to impossible. Silco was a kingpin, he flooded the streets with Shimmer because he wanted money and anyone with money could buy shimmer. Zaun has no shortage of people. What made Silco different was that he was a Revolutionary. He wanted Zaun to gain independence and Shimmer allowed him both the capital, connections and resources to actually contend with Piltover. He had the Sheriff in his pocket and used the Hexgates to move his product out of city as well. Under Silco, people with a knack and drive for crime could rise up and gain power.

Because the nation's leadership ignores the fuck out of the crime-ridden shithole that is the undercity district, Vander and Silco led a failed rebellion to become a sovereign state. After it failed, Vander gave up and Silco became a crime lord in an effort to build enough influence & resources to try again.

At the time of the show "Zaun" is just a secessionist movement and the undercity is Piltover's ghetto slum. It's like the nice parts of LA being in a war with Skid Row.

Things were good with people freely going across the bridge. Catastrophe strikes and the laborer side collapses into itself. Zaun is now BENEATH Piltover. You have to take stairs or an elevator after crossing the bridge.

Gases and wastes begin to naturally accumulate in Zaun as the wealth gap widens between the 2 cities. More factories in Zaun, more academies and arts in Piltover.

Naturally, as they were on the wrong side of the bridge, Zaunites are not happy with the state of affairs.

I hate the stylized montages they do at the beginning of each episode. I was okay with the first one since it heightened Caitlyn's emotional state during those events with everything being sketched out and colorless during her mother's funeral, but the others were pure shitty music video indulgence. Overusing the big music moments drains the impact out of later ones, too. I enjoyed the music during the fight in episode 3, but it felt so diluted with how much licensed music had been playing for all of part 1.

Also, fuck, you don't need to spend a montage showing Cait's group looking for Jinx when we saw them looking for Jinx last episode (even though they strangely ignored the huge battle close by and the goddamn literal fireworks that went off) when the montage's only actual purpose seemed to be showing the big dude with the shield get hurt. But it was so ambiguous because the montage editing to the music didn't even seem to show him get hurt, he blocked the shit with his shield. I only put it together afterward when they showed him limping hard despite nothing happening in the previous scene.

I also think the story is moving way too fast. The memorial attack felt so rushed and sloppy as a major story beat. I immediately knew that the lack of security and people getting in was supposed to be an indication of Noxus meddling to have Piltover rely on them as a military force, which is fine, but all of the shit happening for like 10 minutes into Not!Ikora Rey saying "How did this even happen? We took every precaution!" when literally zero precautions were shown on screen - it actually looked really chill because the memorial is introduced by having two drunks pull themselves out of the gutter and just waltz into the event.

Feel like the show needed another episode or two to put in some more character moments and space out all these huge bombastic action scenes they have.
