Same concept, but as per usual, the Western idea has soul while the other is just style

In this case, neither will have an ending.

Both are soul actually

I don't think so

retard

Guyver is cool, but like all manga and anime, the characters are stock cutouts with no personality beyond a quirk or two like "serious and arrogant" or "spunky and emotional", that's what manga/anime is

Eddie Brock on the other hand is a crazy original and complex character

Not reading all of that

The Venom soul is gay

Shut up weebfag

That just says it all, doesn't it?

east vs west thread

shitting on Guyver

Shut up Venomfag, they're both good.

Shitty easy vs west thread aside I always thought the Zoanoids were super cool, would make a cool template for Spider-man villain redesigns if wanted to do something homaging Guyver/tokusatsu but with the Spider-man franchise.

This version of Space Knight design is no a doubt takes more Guyver appearance

That looks really cool

You have a 4 inch penis, nobody cares about you.

Guyver is about as "good" as shonen can be, which is to say, it has cool designs and action but paper thin characters who are the same as every character in every other series, because it's not about creativity or story telling it's about flashiness

Having followed a storytime on Anon Babble, Guyver has top tier character designs, relatively flat characters and the plot felt running out of steam even with the last volume release in 2016. An utter shame, the OVA sticks with me.

I always thought Blue Beetle was more of a western Guyver.

It too is similar, but that version of Blue Beetle came out in like the late 00s and Venom came out in the 80s a few years after Guyver and is a much less known character than Venom.

The OG Blue Beetles were nothing like that, and honestly a little more similar to Moon Knight.

venom makes hoochies wet

I love Venom but Guyver is cooler. Plus they aren't all that similar for the most part. Flash Venom is more Guyver like than Eddie Venom.
Also this.

it's an alien suit that covers your body and makes you super

Pretty similar

guyver is cooler

I will say they're both cool, but Guyvers are Power Rangers/Kamen Riders who are metal and not soi, and Venom is a combination of The Thing, Xenomporh, and Predator.....so idk. It's pretty hard to beat Venom's cool factor because monsters are inherently cooler than guys. But as "guys" go, Guyvers are pretty cool.

Knull made the Guyver

Knull is....out of control

Where does X-O Manowar fit into all this

xomanowar.jpg - 1000x1538, 408.11K

Didn't he have a crossover game with Iron Man?

Yee

ironmanxo.jpg - 768x768, 115.54K

I had that as a kid. I am pretty sure it was terrible.

Most likely

the Western idea has soul while the other is just style.

Nah, its the reverse actually.

t.read the storytime for Guyver.

Guyver is interesting because of the concept, action, designs, etc. Not because of the characters or story, which is the same as countless other anime and manga.

Eddie Brock is unlike any other villain or anti-hero. But I know both and you just know one, and probably were born post 00s.

EddieBrock..jpg - 988x1500, 575.72K

Yeah, Eddie Brock is so interesting he flip between being crazy and calling the symbiote his other self to not being crazy and hating the symbiote to not being crazy and liking the symbiote.
Bum with a alien friend is so interesting they completely changed his story by Cates lmao.

Guyver wins for me because personally I find the setup of the villains to be cool, and there are a lot of cool zoanoid designs for bad guys.

Such is the nature of comics having different writers. However, at his core Eddie is a codependent nut who displays clear signs of mental illness and focuses his hatred on outer tormentors while having an inward battle, if comics were edgier he'd be an obvious drug addict analogy

Meanwhile, Guyver is just a generic anime everyboy like the modern (aka not interesting) versions of Peter Parker who happens to kill people because they're monsters. And also, Guyver 3 is the most interesting protag and he's also still incredibly generic, just being the morally grey, stern and arrogant anti-hero who thinks he's stronger than the more pathetic lead hero. It's all generic. Cool sure, interesting characters or writing? Not unless the niche scratches your fetishes, even with more consistency.

Knull made the Zoanoids

I mean they are ancient aliens shit already so may as well

East vs West is retarded no matter what side you take

high school kid gets an alien weapon and has to fight tokusatsu monsters that hide amongst humanity

shitheel reporter gets taken over by an alien symbiote that exaggerates his worst qualities and drives him to harass a single superhero

same concept

Yeah, an alien symbiotic costume, pedantic autist.

It's the same shit, only one genre is less character/story driven

Agreed, so lets talk about how awesome Venom and Guyver are
