Unironically, this is something of an issue. The institutional discrimination in favor of women is heightening their standards while also minimizing the number of men that fit those standards. Meanwhile, the men who fit those standards don't want these highly successful career women, they are much happier with younger and much less "successful" women.

What do you mean? The left doesn't claim to be "free speech advocates" when they speak against book bans, they address the issue more specifically. The right is quick to claim "free speech" when it's something more brazenly discriminatory or something like holocaust denial, they even do it preemptively, like the outrage expressed needs to be censored and carefully considered, not the offending comment.
