WALLACECHADS STAY WINNING!
Nice. Finally getting more Wallace and Gromit.
I have not heard much about this. Since Wallace's VA died this will be the last one right? Also I'm not seeing the poodle anywhere from the last one and if she isn't in there that's kind of a bummer as it could have led to more different gags to do with Gromit. This just kinda looks too much like a retread of The Wrong Trousers and A Close Shave where Wallace gets a new invention and/or meets a new person that makes Gromit feel left out. I mean these aren't overly complex stories so that doesn't matter too much but at least make the gags more creative with Gromit having a gf to also protect and work with or maybe something else that makes it more unique. It does seem though this one will have more townspeople in it so that would be good at least as the movie had that angle more. Well maybe I'm doomposting if those reviews are a good indication. Here's hoping.
So has anyone wondered why Wallace and Gromit switch work and universe every single time?
I think this is the only continuation for a short, that being the wrong trousers because of feathers' revenge but that's it. Wish we could get a definitive move/short mixing everything.
They don’t switch universe they just have different jobs because Wallace is an inventor who likes making different things
Since Wallace's VA died this will be the last one right?
Wallace has been voiced by Ben Whitehead since 2010, when Sallis retired, so this performance is all new material, not archival recordings. I'm more concerned about the clay, since their old supplier closed down, but I'm not sure if they got a new supplier yet.
Wokest and Groomer.
Wallace's new VA still sucks ass as bad as those adverts he did.
They switch jobs each time
They switch secondary characters and places each time without any mention of them, the only ones returning being shawn for his own show/movie and feathers
The house and setting is still the same in all media
Idk it's still weird
so it's just a remake of wrong trousers but gnomes
This film is so fucking incredible that I'll never stop talking about it
From the looks of it it’s just more of an expansion on the same idea. Little bit disappointing but it still looks fun
So has anyone wondered why Wallace and Gromit switch work and universe every single time?
Wallace is a temp worker. He has multiple side hustles. It's very modern.
No, pretty sure it's the same universe. There's small references to previous movies.
They switch jobs each time

It's just a soft reboot, every movie is fresh start.
The house and setting is still the same in all media
Because it's the same universe.
January 3rd
fuck yeah
Christmas for brits
Does it feel less stop motion? Or they put that much effort it looks so fluid?
I thought that they couldnt do anymore because of the fire, Im glad to see theyre fine now.
Looking forward to this more than the new Superman movie.
Plato?
The fire only happened in 2005 and was of only some of their older works (which still sucks)
iirc, I believe Aardman found a new supplier.
which one is wallace and which one is gromit?
Gromit's the wallace and Wallace is the gromit.
Fuck yeah! Now this is up my alley
Grolton is the dog.
bringing back the meme penguin because it was so popular on social media
whatever, at least it still seems like a fun movie
So is this an actual feature-length movie or a shorter film like the others?
LA PUTA MADRE GROMIT, OLVIDAMOS LOS PLATOS!!!
Hovris is the dog, I reckon.
the guy is grombo, and the dog is Wallaces's monster, common misconception
SEXO ROBOTICO
Estas putas roboticas siempre roban y no me la chupan >:(
The latter.
Yea they secured a new sourced for clay works. It's not a Superman Spandex situation where the whole manufacture is lost this time.
This was the last of the old batch, but they found a new supplier.
eak spenglish, smirnoff
I suspect that they're using a lot of modern digital compositing techniques that may make things look slicker and more polished.
How do they deal with his nose being reflective in a medium where everything has to be consistent per frame? You'd think there'd constantly be flickering reflections in his nose from the surroundings being slightly moved behind the scenes. Like I imagine they stand clear during each frame take, but the stage or room they're in probably gets shuffled.
las telas groomit
Shame it's on NetFlix, though that might be the only way to save Aardman.
Wallace & Gromit switch work because it opens up a slew of new comedic opportunities each time. It's really no more complicated than that.
