What happened?

What happened?

You keep pirating from them and they're losing too much money

2010 model was a failure 1nd 2020 investors are reluctant to take the same risks again.
Will change when they hit another success and go back when they pile up enough failures

OP being a fag

Why do people insist on reposting completely innocuous thread topics like this. It's not even ragebait and I'm sure the last thread got a bunch of replies, like you didn't get your fill or are you just trying to get people to save your meme.

People still watched TV and there weren't that many cartoons or channels to choose from. That's the simple answer.

Disney

brown lesbian fantasy magic DEI adventures underperforming

victim of streaming era

Nickelodeon

doesn't care about anything if it isn't doing numbers like Spongebob

victim of streaming era

Cartoon Network

victim of bad corporate strategies

victim of streaming era

Streaming Services

caused this mess

No, a lot of them are bad

Implying pirating didn't exist for those

Pen Ward grew up

Shut up retard

Studios started exclusively making the exact, polar opposite of what children watch when given access to the YouTube search bar. And then they ran out of money.

More like he saw the writing on the wall and bailed ship as proto-feminists and fags took over and would have tried to ruin him. He bowed out before the faggot subhuman progressive era took over.

The Midnight Gospel was false advertising and what we got was a pretentious, navel-gazing podcast with animated window dressing.

it's also a rip off of Tres Mal

Horror, creepy, danger and offensive vs soft, safe and inoffensive

Wow, it's almost like Western cartoon media is partially ignoring boys. Also, it seems like pudgy man-children and feminists are at the helm of mainstream media. One of the reasons like Glitched Studio is arising. No one wants baby shows mismatched towards their target audience. Fucking Bluey is better than all the left and it's a fucking legit childrens geared show.

The wrong people were allowed to make cartoons.

people bitching about culture war shit again when it has fuck all to do with OP's question

200 episodes are expensive to make. It makes sense for a TV network model where they have a hit show with great ratings that gets continuously renewed. But streaming services don't work quite the same. They prioritize having lots of different content because that's the whole point of buying a subscription to those in the first place. So lots of short-lived projects get prioritized over long-term shows. I think this has some benefits because it leads the creators to treat their shows more like a huge movie telling a self-contained story, plus shows are less likely to become new Simpsons or Spongebob under that model because they don't have to go on forever. But that also unfortunately means that the traditional episodic cartoon format is fading away, outside of toddlerslop.

Exactly, nepo-babies, trust-fund kiddies, lgbtq and feminists. Who knew entitled freaks who get by without merit ruin the systems they entered?

Leftism

leftist ascendency in the superstructural sphere was a thing in the 90s and 00s too you just don't remember
there's a whole book about it called Empire

The economy went to shit and investors are less willing to put money into projects that aren't extremely profitable. having a two-digit RoI is considered a colossal failure and everyone wants to be the next show that costs fuck all to make and earns millions because internet autists love it.

in 2010 you gave three million to Pendleton Ward, he came back with four, and this was great.
in 25 you give thirty to Dana Terrace, she comes back with forty, and you both get fired because you needed a hundred to keep your job.

Tres Mal

I speak basic French so I know what you are literally saying, but what show is that?

my bad, Tres Mall
tresmall.com/

there used to be like half a dozen people doing work that's now expected to be all handled by the storyboard artist alone

Same reason newspaper comics died. Used to be all the information normies needed was bottlenecked through a single medium (TV, newspapers) and you could put ads in front of their faces. Now there's infinite choice and infinite artists so desperate to live their dream they'll spend all their savings making an indie animation pilot that gets less views in three years than a no-effort streamer would earn in an hour.

I pirated regular show. Though usually after watching the episode live on tv...

girls arent watching that shit either. They're watching jujutsu kaisen and thirsting after Gojo, while boys are watching it and loving the action.
I truly don't know who CN is advertising to anymore aside from chronically online gendies. My baby cousins are watching stuff like paw patrol and safe shows I used to watch as a kid in the early 2000s

Netflix denied David Lynch funding but will fund repeat seasons of Pop the Balloon because they have a fiduciary obligation to maximise shareholder value with the sloppiest of slop.

More like pen ward couldn't handle the pressure of managing a cartoon and ran.

Pop the Balloon ensures social media interaction, so I'm not surprised.

Adventure Time had 200 movies? Or you really just want to drive a point by lying?

Left couldn’t sustain the industry.

I wonder what kind of cartoons we're gonna get now that USAID is shut down. No more woke shit.

Not convinced that’s all it was.

Corporate studios stopped offering decent studio contracts, so less seasons per episode meaning less work for writers, animators, voice actors etc, basically corporate greed strangled animation, much as it's strangling everything

Not much will change, because the people making the decisions are convinced that in four years everything will go back the way it was.

You blind fucking retard he said 200 EPISODES and one movie, and Adventure Time actually has 283 so shut your stupid mouth

You'll get AIslop cartoons for retards like yourself

They're just gonna make everything safe for a while. We're gonna be getting safe and inoffensive cartoons, while all the shows like Steven Universe and Owl House will probably become irrelevant now that the culture has shifted. Which is what those woke bastards get for shoving wokeness and gender into my cartoons and getting Termite Terrace shut down. Now they'll have to get funding the right way and will have to follow rules, no more weird shit.

I watched the first season of AT on television but otherwise I pirated the rest of it.

I must be the biggest manchild on the planet because I still think everything on the top is fucking awesome. I would KILL to go back to the 90s and 2000s when every other TV show and cartoon was about secret agents and the paranormal.

my point is pirating content is one thing but taking the step to post it to Anon Babble is something else.

I would dare to say that piracy was more widespread back then.

Fun things are fun.

This is MASSIVE cope by the way.

AI slop made by boomers and even Anime will feel it too, you're gonna start seeing more localized dubs but without the woke nonsense and the same with video games

I'd agree. I don't hear pirating as much anymore.

People don't torrent as much anymore but "pirate" streaming sites (usually Russian or Chinese) that have nearly every cartoon, movie, or TV show ever made have exploded in popularity to where I hear total normies in real life talking about wcostream and soap2day

I’ll believe it when I see it.

There's a big difference in enjoying childish things and basing your entire personality on them.
Just take a look at the MLP fandom. They're all giant losers. Not because they like MLP, but because that's what their entire life revolves around.

USAID had nothing to do with that, private investors like Blackrock are the ones responsible for that. The fault lies with big business.

Left was supported by a studio that needed to keep outputting content and actively gauged audience interest with a wide variety of shows. When one did well enough, they kept making more, while constantly airing and promoting rerun episodes.

Right was on netflix, made on a whim because someone asked at a time when netflix was greenlighting everything. Netflix's business model is fundamentally flawed because they only make extremely small amounts of each show, in hopes that anything they release is an instant giga-success that changes the course of the industry overnight as every person in the world binge-watches collective billions of hours of view time and drives up subscriptions. When that doesn't happen, they cut their losses and let it sink into their ocean of piss where it will help retain some subs as something to watch until the next big jackpot hits.

Still better than normalfags.

You're just a man Anon, we all are. We've been gaslit by mentally ill women into thinking we were weird. Now that it's cool now to be a man I agree, I fucking love dinosaurs and all the other shit. I'd rather watch an action cartoon about dinosaurs fucking shit up rather than a cartoon about some queer faggot venting about their feelings. Being a man is awesome now.

you're gonna start seeing more localized dubs but without the woke nonsense

If they're gonna start doing that they better make as good as youtu.be/Xkfz6OEWiKo

I would rather spend six months stranded with only the most vapid brainless normalfag for company than spend an hour talking to a brony

We're just dudes anon it's okay

You mean 90s and 2000s you disingenous fucking gen-Zer.

gen-X and millenials ... how do we beat the shit out of thense 2010s nostalgia retards?

Where are the 2000s nostalgiafriends we've been expecting since the 90s nostalgia bullshit?
