Fuck the union

yes especially considering that hollywood union leaders are has been losers.

Oh THAT’S why they put out a hit on him. No fucking wonder.

Look what they just did to mihoyo, he was on the money

Confederates during and after the civil war

The fuck happened with Mihoyo?

during and after the civil war(blacked)

he should look into becoming a streamer

He should go back to making low-budget cartoons. Nothing's stopping him.

Based! The UK has clearly proven to be a failure. Enough is enough!

Hollywood union members get what they deserve.

I think he could be successful, but where could he post them for people to see? I get the feeling YouTube would put the kibosh on any of his content, and most other video platforms aren't as big. Maybe he could post it on Xitter, but that feels pretty iffy.

I get the feeling YouTube would put the kibosh on any of his content

There's no reason why they should, plenty of "bad" people upload to youtube constantly.

It's got something to do with them completely replacing a Union VA's work with a scab and, needless the players sided with mihoyo because they are hopelessly addicted to their gacha.

Was he ahead of his time?

He built up his career doing web shorts. It's understandable that someone who got where they are without the guild's help would see the system as pointless.

why are anons so pro corpo?

Because they want people to be slaves to companies so they can blindly consoom more product faster

2014

Anon

Culture warriors have convinced them that not being 100% pro corpo might mean they are gay liberals who are gay. So they have to be Pro corpo to prove how not Communist they are as much as possible.

Unions will suffer from the exact same self serving corruption as execs if people aren't allow to hold them accountable.

Muh librools

the anti-union scabby was also a creepy pedophile

of course
why should I had expected differently

Unionfags will seethe

Didn't he beat his wife and molested a teenager?

they are probably faggots buck broken
they know no other way of living
but under a boot

boot lick.jpg - 364x364, 22.36K

yes

BUT he hate the hecken unions!

so he is ONE OF US!!

Unions aren't some infallible monolith. Plenty of them are just as corrupt as corporations. imo we need them though

holding unions accountable is very different from being anti-union, but most policies, motions, and decisions (such as whether or not to strike) are voted on by members of the union. Corruption can happen with any organization, but this "Fuck Unions because sometimes they're corrupt so let's all suck CEO dick" is pretty fucked up and seems to imply that corpos are not corrupt and that NOT working with a union will result in better conditions for the workers.

The reason people get overtime for working more than 8 hours in a shift, get lunch breaks, get weekends (or days off), sick leave, vacation time, workers comp, safety protocols, and nearly any other benefits that protect workers from over-exploitation is heavily in thanks to the existence of unions.

I never said they were, but being totally anti-union is strange to me since it would allow corps to do whatever they want to

Few people are actually completely anti union though. You're raging about imaginary corpo dick riders

Nobody said they are infallible. Everything is fallible, but I'd rather work with an organization that is supposed to be fighting for my rights and best interests and root out corruption if/when that becomes necessary than go it alone and simply bow to the corporate machine that is DEFINITELY trying to exploit me.

Unions are a way to organize, which is why corporations tend to oppose them so much. They know they can easily squash a single employee standing up for themselves, but if their entire work force is organized and stands up for their rights, they're kind of fucked.

As someone who studied some labor history, unions kind of just drop the ball. Every single story of a union starts out with "We made big victories" then quickly goes to "well we had to make some sacrifices but we got what we wanted" to eventually "ok well we had to throw some union members under the bus but everyone else still in the union got marginal benefits."

I dont boot lick corpos, but it's clear that union leaders fucking suck at their job

NTA, but whenever the topic of unions comes up on Anon Babble it seems like the vast majority of anons are squarely in the "fuck unions" camp.

you calling Rappin' Ronnie Reagan a loser?

Kek unionfags btfo
All this leftist bullshit is a psyop into making people think unions are for smug gay faggots of color. Divide and conquer for the asset owning people in charge. It's going to massively backfire on them

QRD?

put out a hit

you are such a sweetie

you know Roger Myers Jr? from the Simpsons? played by Alex Rocco? ACTUAL mobster

guaranteed someone you know when you're living and working in LA knows someone who knows someone who will really kill an asshole for money and make it look like an accident

Roiland did it to himself

only pornstars make good money streaming now

he meant the united states, and he was 150 years out of date

work with reasonable pay and conditions, yeah, no wonder you hate them, they've got it all and you've got nothing

why, it's not like he's coming back

selfposting on Anon Babble is all he's got left unless they start running Alex Smith lookalike contests

Right, then it's up to the workers to kick out the leaders and elect new ones. These things are fixable as long as union members aren't complacent.

needs more buzzwords

Correct, but the issue is that no one really wants to step up. It's a combination of complacency, lack of education, and of course leaders refusing to give it up. Check out the book Condensed Capitalism it's the only book that I found that shows the perspective of the corporation instead of the union and the tactics corps use to make unions their puppets.

And anons say he's a commie

It's a combination of complacency, lack of education, and of course leaders refusing to give it up

...and disinformation disseminated both by corpos (pic rel), as well as corpo boot licking dickheads in places like this. The general population is really really really shockingly stupid. If they hear this sort of stuff that all unions are corrupt and that they're worse for workers than going it alone etc, a non-insignificant number of people will just blindly accept that without really considering the source.

Threads like this are kind of fucked up because they further that agenda. I'm not saying this is some sort of coordinated conspiracy on Anon Babble of all places, but I think it's a bit of trolling that has some real world ramifications. There are people who think that schools like CalArts have classes that just teach "beanface" because of threads on Anon Babble, so it stands to reason that some people would also read the somewhat regular anti-union threads and think "fuck unions...why would I need one?".

The real answer isn't to get rid of unions. It's to educate workers and get them angry enough that they demand better both from the companies they work for as well as their union leaders.

Has anyone ever said that?

I am an anon and I've never said he's a commie. I think he's a porn-addicted alcoholic who can be funny in small doses, but would probably be annoying as shit if you had to deal with him regularly. I think he has no idealistic values and will espouse whatever serves his best interests at any given time. If that happens to be communism, then sure, and if that happens to be capitalism, then sure, but as soon as his circumstances change, so will his ideals.

I think he's a self-destructing retard who wore out his welcome and will be dead within a decade unless he seeks mental help and actually does the work to better himself.

anon says "commie" which I'm guessing is being used synonymously with "liberal" in this case (it's always hard to tell here). People have accused Roiland of being liberal. I think the truth is he believes in himself so whatever ideology will serve his purposes is what he'll try to exploit.

ahead of his time

The owners class has been literally murdering union leadership for as long as unions have existed. If anything, he's behind the times.

YOU DUMBASS!

I agree voice actors should get a fair cut, but blacklisting people because you do not like them is bullshit. Why can't these modern guys be like the old New Yorker Unioners? They actually cared and debated with execs instead of making plushies and other gay shit.

You_Dumbass.png - 757x591, 398.8K

he's right though. union discourse in america has long been composed almost entirely of management and their republican allies going to the press to broadcast propaganda against unions because they have a vested financial interest in weakening them. this process has been going on for over a century, so being blind to it now is pretty stupid.

you blacklist people because they broke the industrial rules, not because you don't like them.
the old new york unions would have already firebombed all the executives' offices by now and had a fair deal signed last year, so there may be something to that.

my point wasn't whether he was right or wrong. My point was that he talks like a fucking retard.

The industry as a whole is fascist and anti-art, organized regulator groups cannot be trusted with preserving artistic integrity or messages

the old new york unions

The old new york unions weren't dealing with contemporary corporations. I agree that unions could be tougher, but they're also playing a completely different game now than they were even 30 years ago.

Executives just want money. Union bosses are the guys trying to teach sexuality to school kids and abolish private property.

They were also tied closer to the mafia and criminal protection operations

Based
The unions killed cartoons

Union bosses are the guys trying to teach sexuality to school kids and abolish private property

source please

This is some dumb fucking shit. Do you get paid to spout it or are you just mindbroken.

Yes, but we all know YouTube has a different definition of 'bad' from the rest of us. Roiland was branded with the scarlet letter of the entertainment industry, and YouTube is eager to court the approval of traditional media outlets. I think they'd either demonetized him or tune the algorithm to heavily downplay his channel traffic

god only hollywood can make unions feel gay

Considering most work non-union wage slave jobs at MickeyD’s and Wal-Mart, that sounds about right

They literally collaborate with each other and the socialist party of the United States.

Union bosses are the guys trying to teach sexuality to school kids and abolish private property

Source please

I doubt they destroyed his career over this, but this sort of behavior goes hand in hand with the accusations that helped destroy his career: Everyone fucking hated him and hated working with him because he was an obnoxious piece of shit. That's not to say he's wrong about the union, but Hollywood is a small place. Word gets around. When the accusations started flying, all they had to do was not defend him, and they didn't, and now his career is dead.

You'd accuse any source bothering to report on the issue of being "invalid".

You can just say "I don't have one that doesn't obviously come from a place that just made it the fuck up".

don't bother. Scrutinizing sources is a lost art. Everyone just believes whatever they want to believe.

Because Sag and the animation guild are just that shit.

Nah post it.

They got rid of him because he was a liability. This isn't some huge conspiracy. Firing the creator of the only show making the network money was a huge fucking risk and they weren't going to do that willy nilly. They assessed the situation and realized that the fallout from what was definitely going to be a highly publicized court case was going to do more damage to the show and network than getting ahead of it and letting him go.

Had Roiland been more of an asset to the production, they probably would have decided that losing him was worse than fighting for him, and you would have seen the network fighting tooth and nail to bury the case and control the press. The problem is that Roiland was apparently hard to work with and was relying on the fact that he voiced the two main characters to protect his job. Turns out it wasn't enough.

Anon have you seen the nonstop AI threads these past few days? This site's been compromised for years, Anon Babble's just the board where the corporate masters don't bother pretending otherwise.

has been losers.

Ironic.

This site's been compromised for years

It's hard to say if the posts are actual shills or if it's just retards who have been manipulated by shills elsewhere. Anons are shockingly easy to manipulate. They're contrarian by nature, so if you know this it's pretty easy to guide the direction of discourse. It's possible that a small fraction of posts are created by nefarious actors, but I think the bulk of them are created by retards doing the work for free because they're too stupid to know that they're being coerced.

There is nothing more corpo than the industryfags and wannabes defending their calarts crap in lockstep against fan criticism btw.
Nepobaby fucks, the biggest corporate drones.

If cartoons were better, people would care more about cartoonists.

They're not great and could no doubt be better in countless ways, but I think more effort should be put into trying to make them better than campaigning against them. I'm immediately suspicious of people who think that unions are worthless on principle.

It's like saying that elections are useless because your preferred candidate wasn't elected. You can be disappointed by the outcome, but the logical solution would be to do the work on a grassroots level to try to influence better results instead of abolishing the system and deferring to monarchy or dictatorship.

nice phone post.
Take your meds and sort your thoughts. Your post has nothing to do with unions, retard.

Shut the fuck up HARLEM.

SAG will sell out its own members in order to preserve itself. Their 'negotiations' on AI tells you all that you need to. Went from

NO AI! WE THE WORKERS DEMAND IT!

to

ummmm, okay, you can do AI all you want, just pay [the top VA's who will be used all the time] a small fee

Completely cucked out.

Must do anything but engage!

Um Um—PHONE! He’s using his phone!

Phew, now I can shut my brain off…

People are bitching about fans being corpo dicksuckers while the biggest dicksuckers (outside of the executives themselves) are the employees. FACT.

Replying to yourself is poor form.

They’ll do or say anything over making better cartoons that people want to see.

Your post has nothing to do with unions, retard.

Opting to ignore the most salient point

Because Unions suck ass and are one of the major reasons industries die. They take over all of the labor, jack up the price of the labor (ridiculous pay increases), allow lazy retards to stay at the job due to "tenure", and push out all work that isn't theirs, destroying the free labor market through bullying. They are a cancer on any industry, just ask low-end manufacturing or animation. They are why companies have to shift production overseas or kill the entire studio because they can't find workers at a reasonable rate.

They are why companies have to shift production overseas

No. The expectation for endless growth is why companies have to shift production overseas. Why is this difficult for people to understand? Shareholders want to see the line indicating profits go up because that means they make more money. A company can post record profits one quarter, but the shareholders will want to know why the line doesn't continue to go up in the next.

At some point the only way to keep increasing the illusion of profit is to start cannibalizing the company. It starts by cutting expenditures so workforce gets fired, cheaper solutions are sought, episode orders decrease, and reliance on other cost-cutting measures are relied upon. All of this results in shittier conditions for the workers and a worse product for consumers.

The fact that you can look at a CEO firing 30% of their workforce, and then giving themselves a 30 million dollar BONUS (in addition to their already ridiculous salary) and blame the unions is fucking ridiculous. Yeah, pay artists more because the cost of living has gone up. Accept that every business at some point will reach terminal velocity and further growth may not be possible that quarter, and stop paying CEOs hundreds of millions of dollars every fucking year. At some point, the salary + bonus becomes laughable...how much money can a person possibly fucking need?

Hey, if its true once, it'll be true again?

But it wasn't true even once. The only (you) was my original post. All the replies to that post were someone else.
Try again.

Kevin Spacey posted on YouTube just fine...

Was he ahead of his time?

Not yet, but when he becomes the very first person to die from dehydration as a result of compulsive masturbation while watching VR porn, drinking tequila, and eating Taco Bell for months on end, he will be.

I cannot acknowledge the point and must rope it in as tightly as possible

Don’t talk shit about Anon Babble being corpo defenders when you have people who pretend calarts style isn’t real and shill for low effort garbage.

bringing up calarts out of nowhere

Ah, you're a schizo! That makes sense. Disengaging. Have fun talking to your imaginary friends.

That’s right bitch, run. Your minimalist lowest denominator garbage isn’t enough to sell anymore.

and again, the topic of discussion is unions.
fucking retardl

Shareholders want to see the line indicating profits go up because that means they make more money. A company can post record profits one quarter, but the shareholders will want to know why the line doesn't continue to go up in the next.

"Muh Shareholders!" boogeyman.

Just because they want that, doesn't mean that it's reality, and most of them understand that.

Maybe if they didn't hire Californian commie retards, stopped hiring based on ESG and DEI scores, and hired based on merit, maybe that wouldn't be happening so frequently. Most cartoons these days are liquid dogshit because they keep hiring inept and overpriced faggots.

The fact that you can look at a CEO firing 30% of their workforce

"Muh CEO overpaid" boogeyman!

Well, maybe if Unions didn't constantly want $100 an hour gigs for all over their drones, maybe workers wouldn't be so fucking expensive.

...how much money can a person possibly fucking need?

As much as they fucking wand, you commie retard. You don't get to decide how much the king gets to make off of his empire, in service to the glorious owners of the company.

SkekOk.jpg - 360x251, 79.31K

The "Union" is why animation is dead now, you guys would rather force your mental disorders in cartoons instead of making funny shit. The audience wants action, not pandering bullshit that only 3 percent of the world cares about.

Nope, the topic drifted to who is and isn’t a corporate shill bitch, which industryfags are, the lot of them.
You’re mad people don’t care about how much you get paid? It’s not because we love corporations, it’s because YOU suck. You can’t make good cartoons, and you are truly detestable people to fans and in general.
That’s the correct take on unions. Make me care or fuck you.

Remember that one show made by a delusional tranny with the broccoli hair? Rebecca Sugar was her name, I think? Wasn't that GREAT?

Top Sun.jpg - 500x540, 140.5K

Hollywood unions? Yes. It's like health insurance, pay a regular, prohibitively expensive fee for them to supposedly help you, except they never do.
See: Maxwell Atoms' Dead Meat.
youtube.com/watch?v=yFww_qkw07k

Was he ahead of his time?

No, what he actually meant was "Have nonconsensual sex with union workers"

does he still get work?
Not even high on life devs wanted him back so they just ditched one of the main characters on the dlc and made an excuse.

file.png - 1200x1000, 1.9M

It's not that unions themselves are bad it's that certain unions are bad, sag-aftra being one of them. But then again I have zero respect for actors and especially voice actors.

Because unions became corrupt anon they have been for decades now.

You pay 10 times more than an anime episode and the anime looks better.

You don't suck the unions dick? YOU MUST SUCK CAPITALISMS DICK!!!

The "Union" has nothing to do with the content of the cartoons you fucking idiot. All they do is help negotiate pay rates, benefits, and shit like AI regulations, job scope, etc. If "mental disorders" are being put into cartoons, that's an exec level thing. They're the ones who greenlight ideas and ultimately give a thumbs up or thumbs down to scripts and episode ideas. In fact, some feathers were recently ruffled when Disney decided NOT to run episodes that featured trans characters. Notice that it had nothing to do whatsoever with unions.

You fucking idiot.

Unions don't greenlight shows. The creative direction of a network's programming is 100% the job of the network. If they're pandering to a demographic you disapprove of, that's an issue with the corporation, not the unions. For all of the "mental disorder" cartoons that are greenlit, there are tons of "funny shit" cartoons that are passed on because of dipshit execs making dipshit decisions based on what they THINK will be successful.

Hope this helps.

because of dipshit execs making dipshit decisions

This.
And those are also the guys making hundreds of millions of dollars a year. Unions fight for the people on the ground floor to be able to make a reasonable living. The animators typically don't care what they're working on. They're contractors who work on whatever job they're hired to do.

I don't know why anons on Anon Babble think that animators have some sort of stake in the productions they work on. Sure, they want the project to be successful, but it's like expecting that a construction worker should 1000% believe in the mission statement of the company that owns the building they're working on. In reality, they get paid to build shit and when they're out of work, they find more work wherever they can. And construction unions don't have anything to do with what is done with the building either. They're just supposed to make sure that the worker is treated right and if they're not, they provide options for how to fix that. If that requires legal action, they help guide workers through the process. If that requires organized efforts of all the workers, then they help facilitate that. Individual workers cannot accomplish what unified workers can.

is this Thundercats?

Still hoping for that tell all interview where he openly says Harmon is full of shit and can go fuck himself

I'm thinking it's the same weird cultural disdain for their perception of artists that motivates people to shill AI nonstop and lead them to defend their corporate overlords who treat any worker, whether they're drawing or typing on a keyboard or flipping burgers or laying bricks, as a worthless interchangeable mule who should be grateful to work for them
It's sad really and I rather believe they're all paid to say this and didn't fall for propaganda that hard, or aren't that motivated by petty grievances. Leading them to think some of the least powerful people are controlling their lives, instead of the guys writing the paychecks and shit.

There’s nothing petty about being upset at people that took over what I love, made it gay and lame, and told me to fuck myself for noticing.

so thats why you hate them? they lick the boots on your throat you cant remove?

I think the other anons been over this but whatever

There’s nothing petty about being upset at people that took over what I love

sooooo, the execs. Rebecca Sugar may have made a gay gemstone cartoon, but if execs didn't greenlight it, it would have died on the table. Creators come up with both great and terrible ideas every day. The execs are the ones who decides what makes it to air, and once a project is greenlit, they're the ones deciding which scripts make it through and which don't.

it's a tranny cope episode

I guess that's why Ezra does whatever he wants whenever he wants. He's just way more useful than roiland.

Ezra had already done the work for the movie when he began his meltdown. Notice that he isn't exactly being featured in a whole lot of shit since then.

He's got pending charges i think. He's gonna lay low and continue the rapes in the shadows.

In 1864, the eight-hour day quickly became a central demand of the Chicago labour movement. The Illinois General Assembly passed a law in early 1867 granting an eight-hour day but it had so many loopholes that it was largely ineffective. A citywide strike that began on 1 May 1867 shut down the city's economy for a week before collapsing.

In August 1866, the National Labor Union at Baltimore passed a resolution that said, "The first and great necessity of the present to free labor of this country from capitalist slavery, is the passing of a law by which eight hours shall be the normal working day in all States of the American Union. We are resolved to put forth all our strength until this glorious result is achieved."

On 25 June 1868, Congress passed an eight-hour law for federal employees which was also of limited effectiveness. It established an eight-hour workday for labourers and mechanics employed by the Federal Government. President Andrew Johnson had vetoed the act but it was passed over his veto. Johnson told a Workingmen's Party delegation that he could not directly commit himself to an eight-hour day, he nevertheless told the same delegation that he greatly favored the "shortest number of hours consistent with the interests of all." According to Richard F. Selcer, however, the intentions behind the law were "immediately frustrated" as wages were cut by 20%.

On 19 May 1869, President Ulysses S. Grant issued a Proclamation directing that the wages of federal government "laborers, workmen, and mechanics" paid by the day could not be cut when their workday was reduced to 8 hours under the 1868 law.

During the 1870s, eight hours became a central demand, especially among labour organisers, with a network of Eight-Hour Leagues which held rallies and parades. A hundred thousand workers in New York City struck for the eight-hour day in 1872, mostly for building trades workers. In Chicago, Albert Parsons became recording secretary of the Chicago Eight-Hour League in 1878, and was appointed a member of a national eight-hour committee in 1880.

At its convention in Chicago in 1884, the Federation of Organized Trades and Labor Unions resolved that "eight hours shall constitute a legal day's labour from and after May 1, 1886, and that we recommend to labour organizations throughout this jurisdiction that they so direct their laws as to conform to this resolution by the time named."

The leadership of the Knights of Labor, under Terence V. Powderly, rejected appeals to join the movement as a whole, but many local Knights assemblies joined the strike call including Chicago, Cincinnati and Milwaukee. On 1 May 1886 Albert Parsons, head of the Chicago Knights of Labor, led 80,000 people down Michigan Avenue in Chicago in what is regarded as the first modern May Day Parade, with the cry, "Eight-hour day with no cut in pay." In the next few days they were joined nationwide by 350,000 workers who went on strike at 1,200 factories, including 70,000 in Chicago, 45,000 in New York, 32,000 in Cincinnati, and additional thousands in other cities. Some workers gained shorter hours (eight or nine) with no reduction in pay; others accepted pay cuts with the reduction in hours.

The American Federation of Labor, meeting in St. Louis in December 1888, set 1 May 1890 as the day that American workers should work no more than eight hours. The International Workingmen's Association (Second International), meeting in Paris in 1889, endorsed the date for international demonstrations, thus starting the international tradition of May Day.

you have to keep making advancements for workers until the death of capitalism or else you stagnate and die
what happened to the new deal coalition when neoliberalism came

The United Mine Workers won an eight-hour day in 1898.

The Building Trades Council (BTC) of San Francisco, under the leadership of P. H. McCarthy, won the eight-hour day in 1900 when the BTC unilaterally declared that its members would work only eight hours a day for US$3 a day (equivalent to $110 in 2024[44]). When the mill resisted, the BTC began organising mill workers; the employers responded by locking out 8,000 employees throughout the Bay Area. The BTC, in return, established a union planing mill from which construction employers could obtain supplies – or face boycotts and sympathy strikes if they did not. The mill owners went to arbitration, where the union won the eight-hour day, a closed shop for all skilled workers, and an arbitration panel to resolve future disputes. In return, the union agreed to refuse to work with material produced by non-union planing mills or those that paid less than the Bay Area employers.

By 1905, the eight-hour day was widespread in the printing trades – see International Typographical Union § Fight for better working conditions – but the majority of Americans worked 12- to 14-hour days.

Poster promoting the Industrial Workers of the World (IWW) campaign for the eight-hour workday, 1912

In the 1912 Presidential Election Teddy Roosevelt's Progressive Party campaign platform included the eight-hour work day.

On 5 January 1914 the Ford Motor Company took the radical step of doubling pay to $5 a day (equivalent to $160 in 2024[44]) and cutting shifts from nine hours to eight, moves that were not popular with rival companies, although seeing the increase in Ford's productivity, and a significant increase in profit margin (from $30 million to $60 million in two years), most soon followed suit.

In the summer of 1915, amid increased labour demand for World War I, a series of strikes demanding the eight-hour day began in Bridgeport, Connecticut. They were so successful that they spread throughout the Northeast.

The United States Adamson Act in 1916 established an eight-hour day, with additional pay for overtime, for railroad workers. This was the first federal law that regulated the hours of workers in private companies. The United States Supreme Court upheld the constitutionality of the Act in Wilson v. New, 243 U.S. 332 (1917).

The eight-hour day might have been realized for many working people in the US in 1937, when what became the Fair Labor Standards Act (29 U.S. Code Chapter 8) was first proposed under the New Deal. As enacted, the act applied to industries whose combined employment represented about twenty percent of the US labour force. In those industries, it set the maximum workweek at 40 hours, but provided that employees working beyond 40 hours a week would receive additional overtime bonus salaries.

Kinda seems like unions were pretty fucking important in the establishment of the 8 hour work day and that it had almost nothing to do with benevolent corpos being like "PWEASE WORK FUH US! WE'LL BE WEAWY WEAWY NICE TO YOU".

Holy fucking Hiroshima level truth nuke. Corpo cucks revealed for their lies again

Almost like we need something stronger
The fact that there are some union members in this country that cheer on politicians who despise them the most shows how much more work there needs to be done

not true, he filmed reshoots for the movie while he was actively wanted by police that summer and then again with James Gunn in 2023

Leftist memes be like

right. Path of least resistance. Reshoots are common in films. Replacing him would have been far more expensive than just finishing the fucking thing.
Again, notice that he isn't exactly a rising star. This ONE film got put out while he was fucking up his reputation, and people aren't going to go anywhere near him moving forward.

It's not a meme. It's history.
Hope this helps.

except they had multiple opportunities to recast him before filming even began in 2021
that video of him choking a woman was uploaded in 2020
none of that situation makes any sense other than he had some kind of blackmail on someone

no rebuttal

It's not a meme. It's history.

Hope this helps.

except they had multiple opportunities to recast him before filming even began in 2021

And Roiland's charge was officially brought before him 3 years before his court case was about to start. He wasn't forced out of his projects until RIGHT before the trial began at which point it was going to be nearly impossible to cover up.

Miller had some issues early on, but it wasn't anywhere nearly the problem he ended up becoming. The studio probably thought they could muzzle him and move forward instead of creating bad press by recasting since he was already announced. They took a gamble and they lost (and the movie flopped).

And AGAIN, notice they're not hiring him again for something new. If it really was some conspiracy or he had blackmail, he'd have been in several other movies after since this was supposedly his big break. Instead, everyone is keeping their distance. He's essentially blacklisted because everyone understands he's a fucking liability.

This. The goal isn’t to replace the corpo boss with a union boss, it’s to replace the corpo’s entitlement to control you with democratic dignity. Hostility from corpos and the risk of electing poor union leadership comes with the territory of defending your right to work on fair and equal terms.

I accept your concession.

guy tries to inform or make a general state

disingenuous "UM WHERE'S THE JOKE HUH??? LEFTIST MEME ANYWAY HE'S MY FUCKING LIE THAT JUST GOT DISPROVEN"

Squirm faggot squirm

He has zero "pending charges", never did, and it was always a bunch of horseshit spread by scam artists. WB worked with him because he didn't actually do anything heinous, and every other person who's ever worked with him has said the same thing (unlike Roiland). Every fake "victim" defended him the entire time only to be ignored by the same virtue-signalers pretending to care.
A company chose to act professional and live in reality instead of bending to a retarded Twitter cancel mob who believes conspiracy theories like this:
and it bit WB in the ass because people need to be spoon-fed everything nowadays. They should have gone heavy on the PR from the beginning and instead let retarded Americans control the narrative for months. They thought their memberberries movie was good enough to overcome months of fake news and it wasn't. Which is ironic, because Ezra is the best part of that movie by far.

and it bit WB in the ass because people need to be spoon-fed everything nowadays

They should have gone heavy on the PR from the beginning

Sure. I don't think anyone has argued to the contrary. It was mishandled.
And whether or not Ezra is good is immaterial. Being good didn't protect Harvy Weinstein, Bill Cosby, Justin Roiland, Kevin Spacey, Louis CK, or any of the other people who are essentially industry kryptonite. Working with these people has been deemed a ridiculous risk. There's no official "blacklist". If someone is not in prison and can actually work, there's nothing preventing productions from hiring these people. They're "blacklisted" because everyone pretty much understands that the negative press generated from hiring one of those people would absolutely tank a production, so they find other people who are talented and don't come along with so much baked in rage bait.

You know what wasn't in the work force in 1898? Lazy blacks

All of those people you listed are wildly different than Ezra, those guys have verifiable victims who came forward regardless of whether or not the accused denied the allegations.
With Ezra is was third parties who wildly claimed other random people were "victims" (one of which was a stalker), only for these "victims" to call it out as bullshit.

Sheer unfairness might tempt people to abandon the limelight, focus on mental health, doesn't mean the offers won't be there if and when they want to come back. Can't say I wouldn't feel similarly jaded if people had been so nasty to me for no reason.

Miller has acting opportunities lined up and was invited to Fashion Week in New York

This is not blacklisted material.

Probably just chalk it up to witness intimidation. He isn't doing it but maybe someone would for him.

proofs?

It was in my dreams.

Miller has acting opportunities lined up

Funny it’s nothing specific. Let’s see how that works out.

was invited to Fashion Week in New York

The fact that this is even mentioned seems to imply there wasn’t something better lined up. Invited to watch runway bullshit. Sweet. That’s totally something they mention with most successful A-Listers.

have you seen how much money male vtubers make?

A pack of smokes and a bottle of lube?

doesn't have a rebuttal

you are reddit

Weren’t African Americans kind of limited by Jim Crow laws and general segregation to only work menial labor like sharecroppers

have you seen how much money midgets who get assfucked for six weeks a year make playing COD badly?

Unless they’re a grifter being paid by someone higher up to spread lies, they make nothing.

Man, kids today got it ROUGH

They gotta choose between cuddly carts crap or fnaf lite lore heavy Halloween garbage

there are retards here actually defending unions

Holy shit

It is a shame both sides can't lose.

this "R&M is shit because Justin is gone" cope

I think people are putting to much weight on these people's contributions.
People try to attribute Castlevania: Nocturne's & R&M's decline to Warren Ellis' & Justin Roiland's departure but both shows aren't significantly worse than the previous show/seasons. Neither are unique irreplaceable talent. Look at the nobodies that Amazon hired for the Rings of Power. The problem of Nocturne (unique to Nocturne) is how the previous show ended. Nobody actually gave a shit about Castlevania w/o Dracula. R&M as a concept was always going to run out of steam.

People deserve AI art for not rejecting Death of the Author. Death of the Author is literally the worst thing to happen to fiction writing.

OWS was sabotaged by far lefties

it was a far leftie thing that was infiltrated by the FBI and no saying racism is bad isn't what kills things

The entire LGBTQ movement is a product of corporate values

All you proved is that unions HAD a purpose, and have outlived it. Unions are like ticks that keep sucking blood after they are no longer needed.

Since when did the perception of these gargantuan entertainment unions become that they are infallible? Not all unions are even the same and yet people lump them all together.

I love how people hate Unions for no reason. If you ever get a Union job you are set for fucking life. You cant get fired unless you murder someone.

Nice backpeddle, but work on your ability to extrapolate information from historical examples. This isn’t the slam dunk you think it is.

Corporations see movements and co-opt and now you see them escaping it like rats
Corporate values is making more money

Nobody has ever said they’re infallible. In fact several anons have pointed out they aren’t, but it’s better to try to work towards bettering unions than going without them. Non-collective bargaining isn’t bargaining.

If you ever get a Union job you are set for fucking life. You cant get fired unless you murder someone.

That is a bad thing, you moron. Corporations are better BECAUSE they can be held accountable. Unions always blame shift, or socialize the blame, while allowing pedos and lazy dipshits to leech off of more productive workers and never get fired.

Except these entertainment unions work like insurance companies that also indirectly strongarm the creative process. It's almost counter-intuitive in an industry that is fundamentally based on creative works. You don't need a union to file a wrongful labor suit but these unions are so gigantic that they have to justify their own existence by swallowing the majority. This works for arduous industrial jobs like mining or welding, where negligence has always injurious consequences, not voice acting and writing.

If you ever get a Union job you are set for fucking life.

Kind of like a welfare queen with 5 kids by 3 different men.

Wrong. Socialist weasels infiltrated corporate HR and middle management positions, and then started lying to the corporate execs about what "makes money" these days, while hiring only other socialists, and firing/slandering anyone who didn't "play ball". Then they started pumping out bullshit like trannies in cartoons and movies.

Thankfully, they are being fumigated, which was needed for over a decade.

Every significant group is majority corpo friendly now.
They won.

I like how the anon in the screencap is griping about Occupy Wall Street being a wet fart but at the same time going full Bill Cooper about the summer of love. Back in 2011 lefties and righties and everyone in-between scoffed at the OWS demonstrations because, in part, the groups maintained a very strict code of peaceful behavior. I still occasionally see posts speculating that the relative lack of violence on the part of protesters points towards it being a psyop. Can't win either way.

Anon Babble is pro cartoon. They only reason they could *appear* to be pro-corpo is because they don’t like the current wave of tumblr toons and would very much like the people making them to stop.

There are too many retards trying to push for the "creator driven" meme which funny enough the examples are all Disney shit.
