You know, it's weird that films always advertised this, even before Covid. I remember all movie trailers used to say this even though there was a very long window of time after straight to DVD releases fell out of fashion enough to get proper advertising yet before straight to streaming became popular enough to get advertising. Isn't it assumed for films, especially ones of establish series to be theatre only on release, at least in this day and age? Outside of the brief window during Covid, the only times I've ever seen ads for straight-to-streaming movies was on streaming platforms that hosted them.

Hmm...I looked up Todd's age when he drew Spawn and it is conceivable he might have had Prowler in the back of his head when he created Spawn. I saw a CBR or Screenrant article make a pretty unconvincing argument he couldn't have been inspired but to me he could have just unknowingly based some of it off Prowler. He just added Ghost Rider and Venom stuff when he started the series properly.
