He plans as using Eva's amulets to do a realm merge

A paramilitary of demon hunters backed by the government to hunt down demons - this is where Lady fits in. Her story still has the general same beats as before. Demon refugees in the human world are thing now, as Lady while being hunted by the plant demon from DMC 4 and Cavaliere (Not Trish btw) meets encounters them, hears their story, and gains sympathy. Also, Lady uses a special poison bullet that's effective against demons

Dante here is DMC 3 Dante but doesn't know about his demon origins until the series progresses. Just like in the novels (I think) Enzo (If I remember correctly one of Dante's friends in the novel, a main figure in Dante's early life that predates the events of the game)

Mirage Edge is here that transforms into Devil Sword Sparda used by the rabbit guy in the final episode but now resembling an abomination, think of Hulk. And stabs Dante with the it, taunts Dante about Eva and Vergil's death. Lady then interferes saving Dante, and Dante grabs Devil Sword Sparda and kills the rabbit guy

Final scene reveals that the government's paramilitary end goal was to start a war against the Hell, as they literally bomb demons (some showing to be just people living and innocent), invade the demon world, and start building bases there. Dante gets knocked out by Lady as he leaves casually thinking they're friends, she does this via injection

"Human blood" in this context is pretty much equivalent to human souls. Demons get stronger with human souls, the tree harvests human souls, sons of sparda have human souls. If you're a demon you -can- get stronger by eating souls, but you don't -need- to if you just grow your own, which is what sparda did. It's the leit motiv of every villain in the series: chasing a power that isn't theirs instead of finding power within. The games can frame it however they want and even try to create a power system around it, but the core concept is as simple and ever-present as that one DMC4 cutscene explained it.

I kind of doubt their intention is to keep him death. DMC3 Arkham has burn-like scars on one side of his head, and they conveniently killed him by burning him, and the series established demonic blood having healing effects on humans.

Since Dante will be out next season I'm really afraid what they'll do to Vergil, I especially dread Nero's conception.
I do not trust those at Capcom to write something good out of it, even less the authors of whatever this thing was.
