The only reason to like Shadowcat other than the fact that she's canonically down to fuck a guy way older than her and you think the taboo is hot was if you specifically were close to her in age when the comics were coming out and didn't have enough testosterone to even day dream about a girl who wasn't the definition of "attainable bland bitch". Nothing interesting or attractive about her design beyond "not-ugly barely teenage girl" and she didn't even really have a slutty costume, fun personality, or kinky powers to compensate either.

Absolutely. Jubilee was always shown to be a compassionate, down-to-earth girl barely hidden under layers of attitude. She complimented the older X-Men well, and even at her brattiest she was still endearing and came through when they needed her. Her characterization still shines even through the worst writing.

Kitty was always portrayed as a sheltered, snobbish book smart child, and it got even worse once she became an adult. More interested in thrill seeking and proving herself right than true altruism. Even when she finally mellowed out in Excalibur, she still had a massive chip on her shoulder that not even death and resurrection could knock off. It's a shame modern writers seemed to have latched on to that perpetual college activist attitude as her main trait, because she could be decent if they actually allowed her to develop beyond that.

She is absolutely more entertaining, which is what we want from these characters. Kitty is and she's always been bland despite her cool powers.
One of my favorite Jubilee moments was when she was somehow captured and someone said they need to get her back asap because she's not officially part of the team so she doesn't have insurance and they all can get sued.

Weird since I know kitty has more art, but guess poor jubilee was popular during the dark ages of fanart and availability of art and art materials. There were no affordable graphic tablets in the 80s and 90s and PS was newish and expensive asf, also no computers. So most jubilee porn died on some teenage or creepy guys floor/notebook covered in a mystery cream.

Idk why this made me kek so hard, Idk if this was a joke about how kids/teens actually age in the acting world or just a genuine critique of comics itself but felt like a multi faceted joke. It's really shocking to see how much Anon Babble hates kitty, I mean yes jubilee is more my fave but never realized how bad kitty was. Idk more wholesome and school boy/girl crush stuff, girl x older guy is fine just was like nah. She wasn't that basic but yeah only real stand out slutty/design was her full mask one(more unique) and those cave/savage girl designs when she was in peril and her outfit was torn and she was running around barefoot like a cave girl

A good chunk of the problem with Kitty was how she was basically put on a pedestal by every writer with an 80s boner as if she was queen of the X-teens when you could pick almost anyone from any subsequent teen squad and they not only went through rougher hardships but were, on the whole, more engaging as characters. And it was especially galling when the later generations won't ever be recognized as full x-men but Kitty is a core member talking down to everyone about how being a mutant is like, totally cool.
