The premise is basically "weird violent dragon/lizard mutant cop fights supernatural monsters, also its combination of too many characters and heavy-handed social and political commentary makes it nearly impossible to read".
Out of all the bullshit characters the comic was flooded with, Horridus was one that was genuinely interesting and had an appealing, memorable design, and her intrigue was wasted throughout the comic's life with small exceptions. The artists couldn't even get the shape and features of her face right most of the time.

There's probably at least one autist on Anon Babble who absolutely adores Savage Dragon and will pretend it's the most amazing comic that fags on Anon Babble aren't cool enough to appreciate, but it's really just a pile of shit. Long-running shit, with lots of crossovers and seemingly well-liked by other fags in the industry, but there's a reason no one ever talks about Savage Dragon and that's because it's not worth talking about.

Sarah was the only thing this comic had going for it. The art is okay, but the basic posing during fight scenes is terrible. I can't count how many times characters use flying kicks that consist of them just lying down horizontally in mid-air and bending one leg. It looks he uses action figures with four points of articulation as references for poses in combat.
