Ben was always human height. It's the Hulk that varies immensely in height.

Ben is like 7ft tall whereas Hulk is like 8ft. Movie Ben still appears to be taller than the rest. It's consistent that Thing is shorter than Hulk anyway

Dunno where this idea of Ben being a towering giant evolved from (except Ultimate). Sure he's shown fighting Hulk face to face, but Hulk has spent a lot of his early years fairly normal height too.
