If I remember right, her whole story arc through Andor is that she goes from a sort of haughty elite to the humble leader of the Rebellion in the original trilogy so the story does things to sort of "break" her into that
She realizes what the Empire is up to so she uses her connections to help her family but it gets to the point where she's desperate and doing things like selling off her daughter so the future Rebellion even has a fighting chance
The actual idea of her story is interesting but that particular plot point concerning her daughter it becomes tryhard garbage

It's a show that's not about a cartoonishly evil Empire vs virtuous rebels.

That doesn't inherently make it good though. There were heroes on both sides of the clone wars and the prequels are still shit. They're actually fun unlike Andor though

It's still great. They've started slipping in a few memberberries moments that mildly annoy me (despite Leia's complete absence being felt) but it's fairly minor. And Andor picking up K2 felt kind of arbitrary.
