I know OP is probably being cheeky, but this is genuinely how it feels to see this shit show up out of nowhere a month ago and see all your favorite artists online all shilling it and making fan art for it.
It feels so artificial, I just actually don't understand how it happened. It's passably nice, but the level to which it is popular and the speed it happened just don't add up. This feels like something people would like, but not something that would get 60,000 followers after one post. The designs aren't that good and it's not even like the animations themselves are anything to write home about. There are hundreds of things just like it out there.
I forget if it was Roiland or Hirsch who talked about coming to Anon Babble early on to Anonymously shit on their own show to get discussion rolling.

The project's name is in all caps. It's not Goommymuffin nor GoommyMuffin nor goommymuffin, it's GOOMMYMUFFIN, that's the correct way to write it.

They had a meteoric rise in Instagram too. They made one post and it somehow got like 100k likes. It's just too fishy, the algorithm can reward people but it can't really do that across multiple sites the same way so early.

Lola's design is literally just as revealing as Goommy's and nobody has ever proposed that Lola isn't there for fappability.
The character's name is "Muffin" because you remember it better and it helps the brand with brand overreach and recognizability. It also gives a false sense of quirkiness like this brand is for really funny quirky people and you should buy the plushies that will exist in a month's time.
