MOANA 2 leaks

Moana is chosen by the ocean to reach an ancient island cursed by an angry god. Setting foot on it would break the curse and reconnect the Polynesian people scattered across the ocean.

Moana recruits a wayfinding crew formed by an old farmer, a young navigator guy and a young inventor girl. Maui links up with them as they set sail.

On their journey, they encounter the coconut people, a kraken, and end up in a underworld where Moana meets Matangi, a sorceress trapped in giant clam.

Moana is torn between returning home or becoming a full-time wayfinder, and Matangi tries to trick Moana into abandoning her mission, which would curse her to the underworld as well, but Moana sees through her ruse and escapes.

Moana has a moment of hesitation, but eventually decides to follow through and they reach the island, sailing through a deadly storm conjured by the angry god.

Maiu tries to defeat the god, but loses. Moana then risks her life to swim to the island and manages to reach it and break the curse. The ocean rewards her with a magic tattoo similar to Maui's.

Movie ends with Moana deciding to return home with her crew, reuniting with her family, as the other tribes arrive for a visit now that the curse is broken.

Post-credits scene is a sequel hook involving Matengi.

Does she make out with Matangi?

sounds like a movie, I'm sure the basement dwellers will find something to spam "culture war" BS about

Spellbound is on 54

Will Spellbound finish on top?

When are they going to bring up Pele, and have her a Maui act like bitchy spouses to eachother?

They wanted Moana to be the analog for Pele. They're probably afraid that actually doing Pele would piss too many Hawaiians off

fun first movie

sequel is garbage

What has been doing in with Disney recently? It seems to have kickstarted with Wreck it Ralph 2 being putrid.

post credit scene is a sequel hook

We’re really doing these in princess movies now?

Why does Disney hate heterosexuality? Isn't Moana meant to marry Maui and have his kid in the myths?

Why did Disney make Maui a jobber?

leaks

It just released earlier in other countries outside the US, I just saw it in theaters. It was ok. The second half is rushed as fuck, clearly cutting many B plots from what were originally episodes of a streaming series, but the animation is quality and the characters aren’t ruined. Biggest mistake was not just making this a movie from the start, even with the same premise it would have been better structured.

There has been no advertising for this, I had no idea this was a thing since they announced it

Some of these are correct, but most of it isn't.

Moana and her crew get captured by the Kokomora, but they team up when they find out they also want to find their island. Like Moana's tribe, they were also separated by the same god that doesn't want her to connect with the tribe

Matangi captures Maui early in the movie, but she is not a villain. She only kidnapped him so she could force her and Maui to work together, as she is trapped inside a giant creature until Moana reaches the island. She is also cursed by the same evil thunder god that's been messing with every other character. It's implied she and Maui used to be a thing.

The plan is for Maui to lift the cursed island from beneath the ocean and for Moan and her crew to touch it. Maui is hit by the lighting god, loses his tattoos and falls, but lifts the ocean enough for Moana to swim to it. She gets hit by lighting and dies, but Maui invokes a ritual that brings all Moana's ancestors to revive her with a tatoo

The post-credits is the thunder god chaining Matangi and forcing her to stay by his side despite the curse being lifted. He proclaims its not over as a tiny Tamatoa arrives wanting to help them out

Moana struggling between returning home or becoming a wayfinder is not a thing in the movie, neither is Maui trying to trick Moana.

Why does Disney hate heterosexuality?

They don't. They changed Inside Out 2 to be "less gay" and cut trans episodes from Win or Lose and Moon Girl.
Moana's closest ally in the movie outside of Maui is a buff dude who she sings a song with. They don't make out or anything, but if you want proof of her heterosexuality, there you go. They are not making a gay princess, especially not these 4 years.

Nothing on TV either, but overall the main cable is really only used for news now

Dreamworks can do sequels, Disney can't. That said, these movies will still make an absurd amount of money. Zootopia 2, Frozen 3, they will all make billions just on IP recognition alone.

ITS A DAMN TOUGH LIFE FULL OF TOIL AND STRIFE WE WHALERMEN UNDERGO!

And yet it will still be a box office hit.

Reunite the Polynesians

Enslave and Devour the other Tribes

Crazy villain origin.

here is the proof they doesnt hate heterosexuality

the proof: they made everything gay and tranny (but then cut it out)

when did critics become so mean to disney slop?

They think if a movie didn’t make them cry its bad

its still gay and tranny even if they cut out all gay and trans from the film

Nigga what

Pele

Who

It sounds... almost exactly like the first movie.

Kinda, yeah.

THE SEA IS ALWAYS RIGHT

I’d be surprised if there isn’t one already

They do follow the main beats. First half is on the island, Moana leaves, fights the coconuts, goes to a monster lair, teams up with Maui and faces an evil god, but the characters are different. They do respect the development they went through in the first movie.

the tribe completely supports Moana and nobody tries to change her ways

Maui cares about Moana immensely and everything he does is to help her

Moana doesn't struggle with who she is, just her responsibility now that lives depend on her

If Moana 2 makes as much money as its predicted to do, Moana 3 is gonna get greenlit in less than a month.

That's the problem. We don't need any more shitty sequels

Agreed. The sad truth is Disney's original flops will only be recovered by cashing in sequels, and the casual audience doesn't care about originality or even good storytelling.

Jennifer Lee became CCO. Fortunately she was demoted two months ago. Unfortunately she's in charge of Frozen III because Disney lacks the sense to acknowledge Frozen III was a clusterfuck.

Does Matangi's encounter have hypnosis undertones
That's a dealbreaker.

Sadly that clusterfuck made over a billion, and so will this new one.

Don't post Stan Rogers kino on Anon Babblemblr, this place isn't worthy.

woman can't solve problem

makes it a man's

Well okay then, I'd feel stronger about it if Maui wasn't Maui but I am amused it's that direct.

You know damn well that if Disney thinks putting ice mechs and retconning Anna to be a "fire elemental princess" so she can have an "epic fight" with Elsa will put butts in seats, they'll shamelessly go there.

Disney can always say Raya and Asha are queer to shut up the alphabet mafia.

I hate the stupid "Maui and Moana, together agaaiiin" ad I keep getting on spotify for this movie, gives me serious cringe

Moni and Moana are cute together, I hope people do ship art like they did with Asha and star boy.

Was there any good feet shots?

I liked Toy Story 2, though I don't know if that was Dsiney or Pixar, if there's any difference.

Toy Story 2 was originally DisneyToon DTV and then got upgraded to a true Pixar sequel

I think its all about the story. Even if this was a TV show, if it was ambitious and wanted to do something different, it could have been better. The Tangled series wasn't great, but if they had adapted a plotline from a season into a sequel, it would have been better because it was bolder. Toy Story 2 even with a TV budget would have probably worked due to a strong story being the foundation of everything.

No
There is a scene where the "villain" is completely in shadows and you see nothing but her feet

Given Asha is repeatedly shown to be an untrustworthy piece of shit, that would probably not make the gay community very happy

It hasn't, a lot of people hate the movie because of the toxic message. The few fans it has defend it and the gay ship, but they're the type to disregard story issues as long as they find the characters cute. Same with that shitty she-ra reboot that glorifies abusive relationships.

They casted a Filipino-White nepobaby mutt as live action Nani Pelekai, Disney doesn't give a fuck about what hawaiians think.

And yet they keep calling the company woke

The villain isn't even a villain

I knew it. Disney has no clue how to make villains anymore

We all predicted that Matangi would be a "uwu misunderstood" woman and we were sadly right on the money

I mean, I'm not exactly a fan of Matangi from what I've heard but it sounds like the storm god is the "actual" villain?

It was originally supposed to be a Disney+ sloppa series, so it makes sense.

Don't forget that Lilo, the most popular Hawaiian character ever created by Disney, was straight up voiced by a white girl. AND was an aggressive autistic spaz.

I like this scene because I know Schafrillas got angry about it.

The crab is honestly the worst thing about the movie shown so far.

Still a shitty "twist villain" when most people have gotten tired of Disney over doing it

Just give us a straight forward villain and be done with it

The real issue is the thunder god who is the real villain has a terrible character design and has no presence. Matanagi actually has charisma and style, so its a shame she isn't just the villain. Would have made the story way simpler as well, since she only exists in the film as a detour and to tell Moana to think outside the box.
Chances are she was meant to be the S1 villain who helped the heroes after being defeated, but in movie form you don't get season-long arcs, so shes demoted to a cool aunt.

A black villain in the year 2024

Disney is truly the most progressive

It was. Streaming series budgets have ballooned out of control, just like most entertainment production budgets.

Yeah, when you put it like that the thunder god should've been the only villain so they could afford to give him more stage presence. Or they should just bite the bullet and made the sorceress the main and only villain. Or, OR they shouldn't have made a shitty little dog of a sequel to a movie that didn't need one. That would have been the best outcome of them all.

Series compressed into a movie

I loved the direct to DVD Atlantis sequel but I'm not going to pretend it wasn't a mess, and holy shit Moana of all things does not need a sequel

To be fair, the same was true of the crab dude in the first film. Reading the spoilers, it seems like it's just the first movie all over again. Same story beats.

It's crazy this polished almost direct to streaming movie looks miles better than the motherfucking 100th anniversary film. Something went horribly wrong there.

The black villain's motivation is that he basically wants the closest he can get to an islander sex slave in a Disney movie

Shieeeeeeet

Asha is so fucking sexy dude, god damn

Crab dude had less plot relevance but at least he had a banger song and introduced Maui's insecurities. It was also an important detour as Maui was powerless without his hook, which Tamatoa has.

Is Maui a punk jobber in actual Polynesian mythology?

Yeah, I would fuck the shit outta that spic hahahaha.

I would fuck Asha and Dahlia raw, I don't care what anyone says

He's basically split 50/50 between doing awesome shit and retarded shit. Fished an island out of the sea, and caught the sun and beat it with a hook to make it go slower. Died in some tellings trying to sneak into the goddess of death's vagina only to be snapped up by the jaws there.

It's just me or does she look uglier now?

They changed Inside Out 2 to be "less gay"

Considering the end product, the only answer is that the original cut had on-screen lesbian sex.

The third movie should be about her reaching South America and meeting Kuzco

They only want to miidly cry. They will lambast films which make them "cry too much"
