So, what do you think about the episode?
The Imposter being in disguise as Miss Knight lending Hiromi on to uncover H&G identities so he could expose theirs secrets himself was not a bad a twist, but I'd rather have it be Miss Knight was secretly a villain rather than using a previous use Villain. But best part is that Hiromi finally knows and theirs secrets is safe. All wrap up in time for the true Big Bad of the Season to invite in the last minute.

Anon Babble killed this show for more phineas and ferb
Probably because this show, while decent, has shown significant declines in Povenmire or at least his writing room's comedic capability compared to the original p&f. But I doubt the new p&f season will be that good and unlike this that won't have the added story element to make up so yeah you have a point
Don't overestimate what little power this place has. Besides Anon Babble has had threads for it every week for it's episodes since the start. It's not very popular here but that's just how things go sometimes. If not having running threads here means a show dies then Big City Greens would never have lasted as long as it is.
Aww, we were ALMOST there for the Kevromi kiss.
Very inconvenient arrival, Mordros!
It will be much worse since it's the same thing we've seen a million times already
This show was doing well, but I don't think Povenmire can work on two different shows at the same time. Is a shame, because I really liked this show.
I'm not sure we're on the same page here. I'm not even sure what you're trying to say with that.
Now that I think about it, the cancellation saved us from an expanded love triangle plot.
Blessing in disguise
Oh it gets way worse. Remember that since this show went into production, Povenmire has done extensive fandom interaction and has consumed a lot of tiktok.
That can be the kiss of death for any well received show as fandom related memes and injokes seep in
That's a reasonable concern. Though honestly I'm more concerned with how season four of Phineas And Ferb was easily the worst of the series. If that's the level of quality they come into the next seasons with it's going to fucking suck. Even without any fandom influence and Povenmire wearing down.
Does PnF really have fandom jokes
All they do is quote the show
why are the new episodes not on disney plus? same with big city greens
Once again Kevin has more chemistry with other girls than Hiromi
First girl wins, no matter how forced the writing or how much better other options are. Those are the rules.
writers said that the plan was to make hiromi the big bad for S3 and have Kevin end up with Lauren
Where's your source at? Cause while that would've been great plan sounds like that would've ruined Hiromi's character and I've like to see Kevin/Lauren happens my only reason for why they didn't cause they didn't want to a ridiculous love-triangle.
they didn't get a season 3. season finale was supposed to end with Hiromi being kidnapped and being turned into a villain by this season's big bad
Anon, those can be some of the worst ones.
Remember how "My leg!" and a lot of fan favorite Spongebob gags are now episode plots and reoccuring characters including Nosferatu who was literally funny because he was a non-sequitur and now he's a fucking recurring character?
Where's your source for this?
Also that sounds like a terrible way to have Kevin/Lauren instead. I'd rather not have love interests being forcibly turned evil without them turning back good.
I thought it was a neat pair of episodes. FINALLY we get some good Kevromi moments (notably in "Trading Faces"), they've been rather sparse throughout this season. Though Hiromi's incessant attempts to discover H&G's secret identities in "Miss Direct" soured Gretel's opinion on her, even though Hiromi regrets all of that now. Sounds like Gretel and Hiromi teaming up for the Season finale against Mordros is necessary to get Hiromi back on Gretel's good side. And that Kevromi almost-kiss... my god, what a tease but still so exciting!
Man, "Trading Faces" was such a neat Kevromi episode. Interestingly, Valerie Breiman co-wrote this, who has mostly been in charge of all the Lauren Redemption Arc episodes, including "Fools of Engagement" that teased Laurevin instead, as well as "Awkwardly Ever After". But she also co-wrote the Milo Murphy's Law episode "Cake 'Splosion!", an excellent Milanda episode (speaking of Milanda, "Ride Along Little Doggie" aired on this day 6 years ago too).
Lauren's appearance in "Miss Direct" was kinda random though. And Breiman didn't even write this ep. Did they throw her in for the Laurevin fans or something?
So the show got cancelled before it could turn good
They were good. I liked Kevin's conflict in the first half and Lauren ,at least, a good friend to him. The 2nd was pretty fun, The Imposter is kind of a fun villain, like his showmanship.
I doubt it getting cancelled, despite what may have been rumors, I know think the show is getting cancelled after S2, the show gets good viewership on Disney Plus.
The only thing I see hampering it would be Phineas and Ferb coming back, don't think Dan wants to work on two shows at once. Like it's more a him thing than a Disney thing.
He's said on TikTok and panels that he likes working on multiple shows, it really comes down to whether the studio wants to keep making it. He has an overall deal, so the intention IS for him to work on multiple properties. Disney will make the decision based on whether the numbers make sense.
multiple versions of the final ep script have been floating around, including the cliffhanger which was supposed to kick off S3. An insider confirmed that Disney forced the room to write a finale after the thumbmatic
Once the finale releases, we will know, because the leaks say they had a plan for a different finale if they get cancelled
there was also a "fuck you Disney finale" the writers turned in after, where Povenmire is a cryogenic head working on season 65 of Phineas
Well, love square. And at least they generally resolved it, unlike 'Moon Girl'.
I am aware of this end portion of the script (in which Hamster wondered if they'll get a Season 3), but that does not really state that Hiromi would be turned into a villain nor that it would automatically make Laurevin endgame instead. I'm sorry, but that in particular reads as a Laurevin shipper that got really salty that Kevromi won anyway.
Also, we know from quick shots in one of Dan's video shorts (the one where Joanna Hausmann records her last line as the female alien) that Hiromi, Kevin, Hamster and Gretel will meet the aliens at the end of the Season 2 finale. This makes the WHOOOLE "Hiromi was originally meant to turn evil in the S2 finale but got cut because there will be no S3" completely implausible because that means that they would have to completely rewrite and reanimate the whole thing, which takes a lot of time. Way more than any little time they would have to "(poorly) properly conclude the series" if it was cut short at short notice like how the H&G cancellation was alluded by the insider from two months ago. If there was any idea of turning Hiromi evil, it was likely cut during scripting, way before S3 was being cancelled.
The cliffhanger at the end of the episode was meant to set up S3 in which Hiromi would turn evil. Never said she was going to be evil at the end of this season
also to prove I know what I'm talking about, this clip is from the first segment of the finale (pt 1), not the end of the finale (pt 2). the aliens are viewed through a glass partition like the aliens in Arrival and explain their backstory via shadowpuppetry.
Penultimate episode?
