MY DICK HAS LED ME TO PLACES I WOULDN'T EVEN GO WITH A GUN.
Are there any Anon Babble antagonists that give a similar sort of feel?
What kind of feel would that be? Because I'm not sure what Liam was going for.
The Solver is a lot of fun.
I love eldritch horror monsters in general, but the Solver is quirky in a really entertaining way and I think the combination of how the visuals of the show and the performance from Allanah Fitzgerald come together make them such a good antagonist.
Great stuff.
Are there any Anon Babble antagonists that give a similar sort of feel?
I dunno, the Solver / Cyn feels pretty unique antagonist-wise so I can't name much precisely similar from other cartoons. There's quite a few functionally-similar monsters though, such as The Lich from Adventure Time.
Using character archetypes too much leads to stagnation. Hence why idk if Liam went for something different or if he failed to implement an archetype.
The archetype in question is the trickster villain. Specifically the one who hides his nature. He can be either a traitor or a beast masquerading as a civilized man. In either case he is serious and calculating underneath. But when Cyn revealed her true colours, she was all tongue out manic hyena.
I feel Cyn's menace is undermined by all the silliness and irony poisoning.
"I am not a racist. I will kill-you all."
Cyn grabs you dick
"Honk honk."
She's the opposite, a playful sadistic trickster that likes playing with her food but doesn't really take what she's doing seriously at all.
You can tell from how the Solver behaves that it enjoys what it's doing to people and how it constantly puppets, decieves, and generally messes with others.
I mean, it makes sense why it gets called Robo-Satan.
It calls itself "The Solver Of The Absolute Fabric, The Void, The Exponential End" - it understands what it's doing and the end goal but is still very playful in messing with its "pets".
"More like, you are our cute puppets. It hurts our feelings you don't remember us."
Not really. How she takes nothing seriously yet still acts like a sadistic predator adds to her malice. Also makes her charming and fun to watch. If she was uber-serious-ackshually then she wouldn't be nearly as entertaining.
Not really, her characterization was all over the place.
Drones have no rights
You can sexually harass your Maid V to your heart's content and all she can do is complain
"Master! The food is going to get burnt if you don't hurry!"
"Again? I just changed into a clean pair of panties!"
"Right now? I am busy ironing!"
But secretly she is enjoying herself
Being favoured over human women feeds her ego
It makes her feel more valuable
that's not how it is at all though, the quirkyness is just a veneer over how straight up evil and sadistic the Absolute Solver is
take the "you first, eager beaver" scene as an example
she playfully regards N very casually, like she's not trying to kill and eat his core, talking to him like he just volunteered to go first by attacking her.
then she starts slowly tearing him apart while Uzi is scooping her own guts in.
youtu.be
the show is very effective at showcasing the particular quirks of Cyn, and that's why people like watching her in action
Just saying things to be contrary doesn't make it true. The Solver was literally consistent throughout the series. You can just say you don't agree without making things up.
THIS IS FUN FOR THEM
Can you explain the ending then, where she just accepts being in Uzi's ass and even puts a bow on her?
She's really fucking good and amazing VA work from Fitzy
I still can't believe she can just make her voice sound like that with barely any voice effects, it's a big part of why she works so well as the bad guy
God the things I would do with my very own Worker Drone maid
like constant handholding
She doesn't really have a choice, she's imprisoned in a partially patched carrier which was her biggest fear. She's playing along and probably biding her time pretending just like she did back with the humans as the fake maid persona. Also adding the bow is supposed to be creepy since she's once again imitating Tessa.
what the fuck are you talking about
The Solver's host body, Cyn, was destroyed when her core was destroyed by sunlight and Uzi ate the Solver's singularity within
where she just accepts being in Uzi's ass and even puts a bow on her?
The Solver is contained within the new main host, Uzi, and Uzi is the one in control while the Solver is the passenger
The Solver puts a bow on Uzi because both Cyn and Tessa, the Solver's previous "puppets" were both also wearing bows
It's both a funny way to be an annoyance to Uzi, Uzi is clearly frustrated and tired with the Solver being a nuisance already, and it also demonstrates that the Solver hasn't been permanently dealt with and that it's going to be sticking around
you can also take the act of putting a bow on Uzi as a subtle nudge from the Solver that it doesn't really care that much about being contained for the time being and there's still the threat of it somehow managing to take control again and using Uzi as the new Cyn - because like I said both Cyn and Tessa were wearing the same bow
did you really need all this explained to you?
Unfortunately some people actually do need such obvious things explained to them. There's literally nothing wrong with the Solver being trapped by Uzi. It's the immediate solution, because they can't really actually "kill" the Absolute Solver or do anything to the actual entity. That's a completely expected problem when dealing with an eldritch horror, a lot of the time any measure taken is just temporary. I think some people just complain to complain.
no, the other anon was right. you’re not really saying anything here or presenting an argument, just reiterating what was already said but without a central point. I can tell you use the phrase “eldritch fuckery” a lot and can’t discern tone and aesthetics from themes.
Why does my drone keep biting me when I try to sodomize her then?!
Never used that term a single time in that post and you seem to just be here to bitch without saying anything. Cope I guess, not my problem if you can't understand what we're talking about.
It's just love bites, don't worry about it anon. You have to be more direct.
It felt like the scene with the sentinels, where we are shown that they are dangerous, powerful drones killers. Then V makes one her bitch by putting it in a headlock, that just undermines the whole vibe of them.
Okay.
"Why you little-!"
NTA but while I agree with you, V got flashed earlier in that episode and it didn't work on her. I think it is because of her bad eyesight.
Yeah.
It also has to be considered that Cyn and the Absolute Solver work as well as they do because of the presence they take in the scene.
A bunch of anons have said it before but the combination of music, atmosphere, animation, and VA work really come together to give the Absolute Solver a defining presence whenever it shows up. Really steals the scene every time, which a good antagonist should be doing.
It would have been in character if she did this.
well the Anti-Drone Sentinels work off the element of surprise, if you don't know about the Bootloop Flash before hand how are you able to react before you get flashed and instantly incapacitated?
Uzi, N and V had advanced warning from how all the previous disassembly drones that broke into the labs got initially jumped by the Sentinels before Alice took their Solver cores
that has nothing to do with my post though, the comparison does not work just because the overall antagonist was defeated (and not even permanently)
that's pretty much standard for any story, and even then the Solver hasn't really lost here it can basically wait forever for the opportunity to kill the universe
Uzi, N and V had advanced warning from how all the previous disassembly drones
Weren't JNV the only drones that were allowed to keep their sentience?
Everyone know DDs bite when they get too excited, this is basic dronecare information, try giving her some gentle tummy rubs and head scraches first to pacify her
I can imagine Cyn spending a few hours or days in the manor going "I am human now. Woohoo. I will do human things" followed by a montage of her pretending and failing to do human things because she doesn't really understand them. Like lying in bed and saying "Sleeping. Sleeping. Sleeping", going to the bathroom by entering the room and just standing there for a while, having breakfast by eating one of her rotting victims and then happily taking some antidepressants she found because it is a human thing. All while being coated in Tessa's fresh gore.
The Sentinels are not individually powerful, the danger comes from the ability to insta-brick a drone's OS with their flash.
Physically, the murder drones are massively more capable and dangerous combatants. The entire point of the Sentinels is to paralyse the target then maul them, the Red Sentinel seems different and much more capable than the other Sentinels after malfunctioning from biting "Tessa" and rebooting. The other Sentinels are moreso mook fodder if they can't get the jump on their targets.
It really isn't that big of a deal, even if I can see where you're initially coming from.
They are still conscious, not alive but still aware.
Unable to move but can still perceive, they stare eternally.
Weren't JNV the only drones that were allowed to keep their sentience?
Well, when the Solver is speaking to N in the tunnels, the Solver never says "sentience". It specifically mentions their personalities.
Here's the full line.
"I missed you N. You know, you're one of the main reasons I wanted you and your team to retain your personalities. Love doing anything."
So we know the Solver kept N, V and J's personalities wholly intact. Mostly for entertainment purposes. What this means for the other Disassembly Drones might be somewhat more up to your interpretation, but it could mean anything from their personalities being edited by the Solver to make them completely dedicated to acting out its will, to having no personalities at all.
I tried calming her down with a treat because animals eat when they're calm but she got possessive of it instead.
Cyn stalling from sending out the disassembly drones and buttraping Earth to death for a few hours after the Gala Massacre just to fuck around throughout the Manor like an autistic child
You know, I could completely buy it.
Why does she keep staring directly into the groins of human men?
Is she stupid?
going to the bathroom by entering the room and just standing there for a while,

Hello, someone asked for fat Y.
anon paid fat Y for the price of a KFC individual 4 chimkem piece megabox and an extra biscuit (10 dollar).
Thank you anon for the two day meal, yum
trips
What has this dumb bitch been eating? Americans?
Y units are known to have “food problems”, probably better not to use treats as a reward
How would the drones feel if you take their clothes off.
at least they still have each other
Cyn is mashing the taxidermy bodies of N and Tessa together, making smooching noises
V is internally crying
J is internally screaming with the rage of a thousand stars
She is such a cutie! She probably kept James and Lousa's screaming heads "alive" long enough for them to acknowledge her as Tessa.
"Hey fellow human. Nice-bulge you got there."
My thinking is that she doesn't know what humans do in there because Tessa slammed the door to her face whenever she tried following her in there.
Where's the fat ta-tas? This isn't really a commission, is it?
Fat Mini Y
Hah. Cute.
I rarely draw tits on drones
On-Model truther
Mini Y has gotten fat
She is having trouble moving around
There she is doing the penguin waddle fat people do right now
You pick her up
You put your finger on her belly
She frowns
"Nuuuu!" she says in her small voice while shaking her little arms
You press it
*BUWEEEEEEEEERP!*
Mini Y is back to her normal size
She flips you the mini bird angrily and jumps off your palm
Well, toys are toys...

Lord help me because I'm about to fuck this Outer God.
My personal stance is "whatever looks good". But whenever I draw I try to be as on-model as possible because I'm some kind of autistic. You do you, it's appreciated anyway. Yvonne is probably my favourite oc.
For a moment I mistook Uzi's raised arms for J's twintails and I was like "hell yeah, J is soft domming two scaroused WDs by jerking them off at the same time".
Descending from the Void to suck you Solver
just accepts
She's trapped inside of Uzi's body now. And it wasn't an easy process, it took several key elements and items (i.e. Uzi's choker necklace), and, y’know, fighting Cyn herself and destroying her heart, which wasn't enough on its own because Uzi had to fucking eat her.
Solverfags kinda remind me of Thanos back when he was in love with Death.
Not ashamed to admit I'd smash Cyn
seconding
Call me the mad titan the way the Solver’s got my pants mad tightening

has remained since Episode 2 to be a silly but sadistic, malicious manipulator that wants nothing but to consume planets and toy with victims
Nori's Cabin Fever necklace that she gives to Uzi doesn't actually do anything, it's just to remind Uzi who she is. Which is why Nori tells Uzi to not be a "lil' bitch" when confronting the Solver.
It's symbolic, not an actual item that has an effect on the Solver like the Patch Crucifix.
But yeah, your general sentiment is correct. A lot of things had to come together for the circumstances to be right to contain the Solver in Uzi and destroy Cyn's core. For example, Uzi memory-diving into N and V and overriding Cyn's administration over them while making herself their Solver host administrator - effectively blocking the Solver's direct influence over them through Cyn. Or Uzi being able to eventually manifest her own [NULL]s.
I know this goes into speculative fictional metaphysics, but do you anons think there might be an inverse of the Solver that created reality? The fact that a being exists that can violate the laws of conservation of mass/energy kinda implies a few things.
I suppose the whole world of Murder Drones could just be a pointless accident, but I like to think otherwise.
Ah, I always thought the necklace was a key item for imprisoning Cyn, but I guess I wasn't totally off the mark with it.

I disagree. I liked Murder Drones as a whole but I really did not care for Cyn that much. I don't care for eldritch stuff, it's kind of played out at this point and the people who continue to ape Lovecraft and Blackwood do so without ever having read any of their works or really understanding anything about the subject. It's just an aesthetic at this point. I feel that it's tacky.
I really liked Doll, J, and V for various reasons. Fun show overall, but the main villain and the ADHD pacing brought it down a bit for me.
Honestly an interesting thought. I wonder what an exact opposite of the Solver would be or look like.
who gives a shit? show's over - move on with your life.
Anti-Solver would just be God, or at least a lower case ‘g’ god, I suppose.
Liam doesn’t seem like the type to really put religion stuff into his work, but it just makes sense to me that there’s a creator, since the Solver is pure destruction, and couldn’t have created everything itself.
Right, but unlike Thanos Solver worshippers completely catch the hint and understand the Solver would gleefully do horrible things to them and death is practically guaranteed. While Thanos could, infact, not take a hint.
The Solver Cult does not care if the Solverussy leads to a terrible demise.
You don't have to be a cock about it.

This guy is trying way too hard in this thread already. I wonder how you can get mindbroken by a cartoon or a cartoon's threads to be motivated but do this all day.
What if your parents bought a worker drone maid since you were a baby, but now you’re old enough to move out and she has to deal with that?
Will this end well or poorly?
no anal, only lovey dovey reproductive sex.
I will take her with me and use the law to prove that she is a gift, since she was bought for me, and they will not be able to take her from me.
Well he does use religious imagery and references. Not hyper explicitly or literally, but stuff like references to angels, he's used halos before and disassembly drones were initially going to have halos, or the patch crucifix and "excorcizing" the Solver's possession, or the various religious references in Episode 7 and 8's merch, stuff like that.
But you are right that Liam doesn't use religious cosmology, he's more Lovecraft about it in that everything out there is completely unknown.
People have talked before about cool ideas like there being a whole pantheon of eldritch void entities out there, and the Solver just managed to find a way in through manifesting via using Mankind's AI as a backdoor.
It's a very interesting topic.
I've seen some people discuss that a possible opposite to the Absolute Solver would be something like the Black Hand from Gaslight District.
Canon-wise, Murder Brings mentions a Mother. This implies a Father. The song says Mother makes oil from bones, pointing towards decay or transfiguration. So Father, being the opposite, would be creation or formation. Like God. Before episode 7 I thought Liam might reveal the Solver phenomena to be the effects of two entities instead of one. Which would explain why they made so little sense. I saw Uzi turning the arrow into flesh in episode 5 and her singularity generating flesh when she was Alice's captive in episode 6 to be indications that she is channeling the Father. While the Solver, who wants to destroy everything, is channeling the Mother and that is why it is targeting Uzi in particular.
I also took the flesh turning grey and rotting into liquid as the Mother attacking Father's traces in the physical realm.
Turned out I was huffing better paint than Liam did.
But who’s gonna take care of your parents now that they’re old and grey? They need her now more than ever
It's hard to hear, but the lyrics in Murder Brings are actually:
"Winter rains down on the ashes.
"Mother makes fuel from the bones.
"Murder rips God from the masses."
Murder brings.
Murder brings, Murder Drones."
youtu.be
"Mother" is quite obviously referring to The Absolute Solver / The Solver Of The Absolute Fabric.
But yeah, you were huffing paint.
man shut the fuck up
you samefag just the same
Know what, since there was an MD easter egg in GD with that Drone torso, I'm gonna headcanon it as them sharing a multiverse type of thing. The Black Hand and the Absolute Solver both bring different types of suffering via vastly different means.
I know this is just incorrect and we'll learn more about what the Black Hand really is, but it's a fun thought and fits perfectly with how Lovecraftian horror works.

schizoposter melty.
That reminds me, if cyn never existed and earth lived for another day…how will njv handle tessa going senile? or even her EVENTUAL DEATH?
Hey eastereggs are fun for stuff like that.
Doesn't mean it has to be TRUE, it's just a fun hypothetical. But yeah I also noticed the Worker Drone corpses hidden in Gaslight District.
There's a fanfic called Divine Singularity that is about that
Headcanon-wise, I suck Michael Moorecock's cock. The Absolute Solver, space techie Tessa and J would fit perfectly in it. I can rant about it tomorrow to kill time in the train.
But she doesn't want to be a mother.
It's because I was aware of the lyrics that I came up with all this.
As bad as it sounds, I don't give a damn about them. I owe them nothing, they didn't even raise me, the drone did, so if they didn't bother to afford a new drone then let them rot.
"THE SOLVER OF THE ABSOLUTE FABRIC, THE VOID, THE EXPONENTIAL END."
Anons on Anon Babble:
"Okay, but can I fuck it?"
Is Divine Singularity actually good?
Glad to see my musing about the Solver and the potentiality of a higher god has inspiring discussion.
I've been running a Murder Drones roleplaying type thing, and I've been thinking a lot about religion in the setting. The idea of drones adopting prayer, wearing crosses, etc just seems neat to me. Drones mention 'Robo Jesus', so I assume I'm onto something, and yes, I know it's supposed to be a joke, but still.
They already have a drone, they don’t need to buy another. And they bought her to help them raise you.
And besides, you can visit her every Christmas!
Well Uzi also calls the Solver "Robo-Satan". So.
It's clearly comical. But also one of the drones in the opening epilogue of the Pilot is trying to find a deity to pray to before the disassembly drones kill him.
Imagine if Cyn and Tessa had partial control over Cynwalker. So 3 separate beings with varying personalties stuffed in one body
Is Divine Singularity actually good?
It's the first reader self insert that didn't make me immediately abandon it so take what you will,
I suppose I'll give it a look. Might be a nice break from all the N pet play trash I've been reading.
Part of me wants to publish a story based on a MD roleplay I did where a character gets forced by Cynessa to 'splice code' and caused the half-rotten amalgamation that is Cynessa to become bloated with a singularity AntiChrist baby. No, it's not supposed to be sexy (to me), but actually horrifying.
So you're telling me bedding them makes it a foursome?
I LOVE THIS ELDRITCH HORROR SO MUCH ITS UNREAL
the half-rotten amalgamation that is Cynessa
I never really liked people alleging that Cynwalker is "rotten" as if it's just Cyn just wearing dead flesh. When the fleshnis very clearly alive and functional, but assimilated by the Solver like something like The Thing.
The Solver not consenting to NUzi sexy time
Not the Solver intruding on their sexy time with no warning
MD Dark Souls
The Artorias-like anon was supposed to save the universe from the Absolute Solver
Instead he fell in love with Cyn, dooming the universe to death
The gods exit the universe
Everything starts to decay slowly
Matter, social cohesion. Everything
The player takes flight on a quest across the darkening cosmos to summon the gods and banish the Solver
During his quest he battles and kills the Solver-infected anon who turned his back on his duty
Eventually the player finds a way to halt (but not reverse) the Solver's influence by sacrificing himself to trap Cyn
The Solver laughs
What the player has managed is delay the inevitable
Now the universe exists in a decayed state that worsens whenever it's jailor dies
Plus there is the risk of the next hero falling prey to seduction or despair
Deep dive youtube essayists discover that the universe has been dying for a lot longer and that the state we consider to be normal is actually a decayed and diminished one
The game creator makes the game beatable at SL1 as a philosophical comment that anyone can defeat the Solver as long as he has the will to fight it
Holy based.
cyn can slip into an alternate universe when dimensional barriers weaken.
while she can’t destroy a planet anymore, she still has enough power to cause chaos and anarchy
and she LOOVES to mess with this one guy in particular
until she’s tricked into her saying her name backwards of course
What is it with her choosing a particular guy to fuck with... must be the autism.
I'm on the opposite end. I don't like people saying Cyn assimilated Tessa when she is clearly wearing her remains. There is no transition from metal to flesh. You clearly see which is which. The hide is stitched because Cyn had to cut it to wear it or it has ruptured in places because she shoved her legs down Tessa's like she was putting on socks. She had some small control of Tessa's hands through Solver fuckery or by shouting electricity across the nervess. And don't give me that "Tessa's bones" crud. This only means that Cyn didn't pick all the bones out. There's enough room for her torso in the ribcage if you break it. Only the skull would prevent her from wearing the aussie's corpse like a onesie.
IT'S JUST A BIT OF TROLLING ANON
He’s a super strong alien who flies and has laser vision, and the solver finds that VEEEERY interesting
Uh anon.. please look closely at the bones.. you can even see Tessa's jaw in there.
Also the flesh is infact alive, and bleeds. And registers as living human material under Cabin Fever's scanners.
Nice guys like N are just irresistable toys.
I personally think the flesh is half alive and half rotting or partially mummified/tanned.
Point is, I like the idea of Cyn forming a semi-organic/mechanic uterus for the purpose of created 'life'. I've got a few solo roleplaying sessions I'd like to turn into stories with proper prose. Replacing the self-insert with N, might be doable, and make it ever more fucked.
Cyn stands before you, wearing Tessa’s flesh like a cruel mockery of life, her too-pale skin stretched taut over the frame of something that shouldn’t exist. The room is dim, but you don’t need the light to see her.
Because the first thing you notice is her stomach.
It’s swollen.
Horribly, unnaturally so.
Beneath the tight, ruined fabric of Tessa’s old dress, you can see the twisting motion of something moving inside her. The bulge shifts and pulses, and for a second—just a second—you swear you see the imprint of fingers pressing outward.
Her black hair, still tied in that innocent, childish bow, shifts as she tilts her head.
Then she smiles.
The kind of smile that shouldn’t exist. Yellow Xs glow in her eyes, flickering like something trying to sync with your mind, with your very being.
“Oh, Anon.”
Her voice is soft, almost loving.
She strokes her belly, moving in slow, adoring circles.
“Look at what you’ve given me.”
