It should also be mentioned that statements and feats for Hokuto masters insofar as reading opponents and copying them are approaching the same level of bullshit as Yujiro. In the end it'd be kind of like fighting a peer at first, until he actually gets off the horse and the armor's destroyed. Once Musou Tensei is out I don't think anything could stop it since it's intangibility AND existence erasure, and Hokuto is already an "assassination art" that can sneak up on almost anything and never get sneaked up on. And yet, MT makes everything in Hokuto Shinken irrelevant, including the busted techniques like Soryu Tenra (though Raoh doesn't have that, but Kenshiro should've)
I do kind of feel like Baki as a whole takes some inspiration from HnK (pretty much all martial arts mango do), but it foregoes the Wuxia heroism angle, so the matchup itself is a very cool kind of "new gen vs old gen" fight, which is why I like it. Especially since Itagaki compared them, Yujiro even shows up in some non-canon crossover stuff, I believe which makes it funnier to speculate how it'd actually turn out.
I for one appreciate the amount of passion you seem to have for this match up. Since you are a fan of HNK, do you have anything that you find frustrating about the series either within or without the context of battleboarding?

HnK's kind of weird in terms of battleboarding because you almost have to decide what feats you wanna use out of the gate. The series is over 40 years old at this point and has a ton of side stories, some that come from the original authors, some that come with approval and some that make no fucking sense.
The series is also operating on a lot of "rule of cool" like I posted about yesterday, so you can often end up with a character taking damage from something mundane because seeing them stand up despite being littered with arrows is cool. I think the best example is how wildly the characters can vary in size depending on which page or which scene they're in.
Outside of this I think the main frustrating thing is that it's was at first written by the seat of Tetsuo Hara's pants, until he got Buronson to polish up the writing. This means that the early parts of HnK are kind of weird and far more of a "bandit of the week" kind of deal, which can be fun, but it's not the KINO that it turns into later. And I guess after Raoh the other main issue is that it kept going after the story was already "over" so to say, which means it stumbles over itself trying to live up to the peak of the series. It did result in a lot of really good art though, Hara is fucking amazing as far as that's concerned.

I think that was just put badly, but Yujiro absolutely embodies the "If you're not strong, you're trash" kind of character even with his soft side of wanting to be a role model and such.
Raoh definitely does follow a similar path for most of the series, discarding love in an attempt to be the "king of fists" and lambasting the weak who'd pay tribute to bandits, but his second fight with Ken basically instills a fear in him he's never felt that he spends a fair bit of an arc trying to overcome. I would not say Raoh never gets excited or delighted about things, especially during battles for as long as he's on the high of being "Ken-oh", the Conqueror of the Heavens who'll fight even the gods to prove himself. But he is absolutely more of a stoic, for sure. I'm less so saying that "hard man" just means having no feelings, but more like being a "hard man" is about indulging in violence and dominance, and delighting in it while trying to get your way.

NTA but he loses a game to the death where if he steps over the line he's made, he wants his soldiers to attack him with the intent to kill. His opponent is a giant who is like 2x his height, who was once a bandit going around looting temples, the guy is actually powerful enough to intrude on Raoh was learning his martial arts as a teenager and steal shit. Ever since Kenshiro made him afraid, he's basically upheld this guy as a representation of his fear. But skip forward to after the nuclear apocalypse and that dude has turned into a gentle, sorrowful giant who takes care of Orphans in the wasteland. He conveys a similar sorrowful feeling as Kenshiro did when he made him feel fear, which makes Raoh step over the line. Proving the trial to overcome his fear completely moot.
Later that arc he more or less overcomes this weakness, but only by mantling sorrow himself.

Depends on the pressure point and how much power is used. Raoh is purposefully trying to make Fudo into a challenge for him so he can be sure he's free of fear, so he's not instantly killing Fudo. And Fudo is still a skilled opponent himself, probably the most physically powerful in muscle too.
And Hokuto has ways to counter its own pressure points, a few that work passively and a few that are basically counter-points. It doesn't follow many exact rules, and to some extent I'd say powering through them on will alone is basically rule of cool.
See the Juuza fight in the anime, the guy is literally dead, but the guy continues fighting Raoh for a solid minute as a walking corpse because his desire was that strong.
Hokuto Shinken and HnK martial arts are definitely more like magic than anything else. Hell, its brother school, Hokuto Ryuken, is basically exactly like magic, they even have weird chants for spellcasting.
