To me, my X-Men!
X-men thread
Present.
What are the very best X-Men comics?
Reading Claremont right now and it's not good.
Flyclops is Anon Babble's greatest contribution to the X-Men canon.
lol
Read the Whedon/Cassaday Astonishing X-Men run.
It's a Claremont style story written and drawn for modern audiences.
"X-Men good" is a very real thing. You just have to get over it.
written and drawn for modern audiences.
kek
original Ultimate X-Men until it stops being good :)
I don't get it, what did I say?
Whedon was clearly writing a love-letter to Claremont's X-Men when he made Astonishing.
Claremont is verbose and his plots are dense. His work screams 70s/80s, even when it comes out today.
Whedon's scripts are influenced by his experience as a screenwriter. Widescreen, decompressed, and written for the trade. It's more accessible to modern audiences.
original Ultimate X-Men until it stops being good :)
And by this, anon means all the way through Ultimatum
gay colossus
no.
dont forget to read the crossover in Ultimate Spider-Man with Wolverine :)
Right here!
the greatest music from the 70s
80s
90s
and today
kinda depressing that more modern = less words
We're gonna have xmen Vs avengers in Doomsday. Who we want our favourite mutties (Cyclops, Kurt, Gambit) to destroy?
The Modern Age of Comics began in 1985.
Less useless exposition. Visual media, fag.
Remember the time when Wolverine tried to murder Jean's daughter to stop her from becoming a murderer? And when he was confronted about trying to kill her his retort was "X-Men don't kill people"? And he did this to save Selene from dying, who then went and committed double homicide only minutes after he left?
He's the heart and soul of the X-Men.
Guys I'm reading 90s X-Men and it looks fucking horrible on my screen. Is this just how Marvel's digital conversion of their art looks (I think this is ripped from digital) or is my reading program shitty?

THE STRONGEST
The last few silver age issues before it gets cancelled and they start spamming reprints for like a decade until giant size are actually pretty good. Mainly because of the nice art.
It's a universally accepted term and definition, you bum.

His work screams 70s/80s, even when it comes out today.
Why is that a bad thing? 80s is objectively where comics peaked
What is with the faggot UXM shills acting like stripping everything from the identity of the characters is a good thing.
Modern X-men aren't my X-Men either.
the identity of the characters is being inhuman psychopaths
ok krakoatroon
UXM #200 to Age of Apocalypse is the best. AoA can be considered a finale of sorts. But then there's some good stuff in the 00s and Ultimate X-Men is a fun what-if and reset.
Cyclops > Wolverine
