I'm convinced that the ratings mean nothing at this point. There's like twenty boomers total with Nielsen sets and the ratings are entirely decided by which of them falls asleep watching Rick and Morty.

They matter, but at this stage AS is intentionally turning a blind eye to how bad they have been. What matters now is how long AS is willing to do that + still let us get new shows. Bleach and BE can at least carry us to the end of the year, so we can save the worries till 2026

I've only realized over the last year how weird our culture is with regards to rewatching things. I've got series I've watched three times this year and they felt almost like new every time. Apart from faggitman's woke and anti-fan service influence, pretty sure the biggest issue with the bland originals like Uzumaki, Shenmue, Kamui, and Lazarus are just the budget. The art, animation, effects, voice acting all suffer from it.
A lot of the originals are lost causes, but those could have been something good with a proper budget. They should have tried doing the originals 10 years ago. They simply don't have the budget anymore. A big name director or soundtrack isn't enough.

And considering that the women are also malnourished, and mentally traumatized due to the frequent rapes, it is highly unlikely that they will give birth to healthy babies. So if a woman gives birth and that baby dies due to SIDs or being sickly, then you've just wasted a bunch of resources for nothing.

If you're going the 'must make babies' route it would make sense to just get women willing to give birth in exchange for additional resources and then pamper the shit out of them so that they give birth to healthy infants that will become child soldiers.

No, not at all. No idea why this baseless rumor gets repeated. It was the previous arc, the Fullbring Arc, that was poorly received by Jump readers, not the final arc. Even at its lowest ebb in popularity, though, Bleach was still one of the best selling manga of all time for Weekly Shounen Jump. I believe it still sits at number 7 all time sales for the magazine, which means it has outsold 99% of manga that ever ran in Weekly Shounen Jump.

That said, while the Thousand Year Blood War arc does start very strong, and generated a lot of hype, it goes completely off the rails about halfway into it. It does no good to try and explain it, you'll know when it happens.

Everything regarding having to rewrite Char as a character to justify all the story changes. Oh, and turn him into a dindu nothing by having Side 7 be fully evacuated when he steals the Gundam. Episode 2 actually annoyed the fuck out of me because of how fucking everything about it runs counter to how Char would act in any capacity.

You have to buy your own clippers, same with any sanding tools, and tweezers when you want to apply those tiny as fuck stickers.

Went to visit my grandpa again at the hospital, he seems like his neck is getting better, but he's not eating as much as he should be so he's completely gaunt, almost skeletal. My grandma thinks he has given up, or isn't trying hard enough to heal/eat. Now that I've got a lot of free time on my hands I'll pay more visits to him.

Well, it started great so that's something. Gave ma some nice Mother's Day gifts, baked her a cinnamon crumble coffee cake. Could've come out better but it was gone within like 2 days so I'd say she liked it. Then the rest of the week happened. She's still got issues with her left eye, even if it is better than it was. Dad suffered a fall at work. While he come out of it mostly unscathed, the fear that the news put into me was very real. But the worst part had to be when I finally found out that my elderly neighbor lady has finally passed away. Talked to her son, who'd been visiting and going in and out for a few weeks now. House is on the market now. Fuck, I'm really going to miss her. She was always really nice, and was so sweet to my dog years back.

I suppose I've got my own health, which isn't as reassuring as I wish it was.
