They're right, you should be watching adult shows. You put on Yellowstone and it's like Breaking Bad never ended. You put on Craig of the Creek and it's night & day from what was popular even 10 years ago. It's more tame than Clarence, and that's saying something.

A lot of cartoon fans are deeply insecure about watching what most people view as a children's medium, that's why they love concepts that make cartoons seemingly more mature (deepest lore, romantic subplots and anime references)
