I'm not a furry, a Christian, or gay and I think it looks cool. I like the art and think there's a lot to dig into when it comes to the themes of the bible. This looks interesting because it seems to be neither pro nor anti-Christian. I guess we'll have to see what they do with it, but it would be pretty cool if they could pull this off without making it feel like they have an agenda aside from the art and story itself.

Wrong. There are entire groups of furries out there who are devout Christians. They often overlap with the Sonic community.

Christianity is viewed as less strict and more pacifist compared to Catholicism. Even if a traditional Christian does not agree with gay marriage or sexual deviant behavior, they're not supposed to shun those who engage with it. That's the whole point of "hate the sin, love the sinner". Many people will bring up that Jesus was friends with prostitutes and did not spend all his time berating them. He told Mary Magdalene to "sin no more", but he didn't chastise her like you imagine the typical Bible-thumper might.

There are many people who engage with Christianity through verbal abuse and constant judgement and they're doing so in violation of their own religion. But rather than say that, people would rather write off all of Christianity as a whole and imply that it's an oxymoron for a gay person to be Christian.
