The style you want would require more detail, and if something has more detail the animation will take longer. It is worst for indie creators, especially if they are solo. Animators need to eat. Besides, the best compromise is comic adaptations.

The VA for Dr. Powers is working with some animators to revive the project. Unfortunately, they are already behind schedule. An episode by them was suppose to release back in December. The project is still going but updates seem to be put behind a Discord server and I am not going into that shit.

I always wanted to do a comic that's specifically about Iris' story. From Omega-7, to Alpha-9, to Project LETHE. But I can't draw, and I ain't got those kind of resources, so that's probably never happening.
iirc the voice actor for the character obsessed with corn wanted to do something. he apparently considered himself the owner of the character to warrant a spin off but nothing came of it.
