i dont collect

Recently I picked up the new JLA book 2 release and a couple Spectacular Spider-man master works. I also have Avenger Epic 12 and DC Finest Team up on the way. I don't have anything else I really want till like July.

It was my birthday and I got

Watchmen

Luther Strode

Batman Long Halloween

Hellboy Omnibus 1

Happy Birthday.

Batman Long Halloween

Noice

Those giant ass hardcovers are unintuitive to read
I prefer collecting tpbs,
I think the Epic/Finest model is the best idea since the Essentials

Blah blah blah big hardcovers bad

Here is a shelf of comics I really like.

I'd totally buy that copra HC if I thought that any of the rest of it was going to be released that way.

I recently got Girlmode, the graphic novel where a trans girls is in a love trangle with two guys.

Fun fact: The author was picked by Zack Snyder to write the Rebel Moon comics.

The shelfies have deserted Anon Babble

How many issues of Kamandi did Kirby write and draw? The entire series?

4 volumes of Rick O'Shay Dailies from 1958 through 1964
Red-Headed Bombshell, a reprint of the first year of Brenda Starr strips.
Cauliflower Investigates, an old minicomic by Joe Wehrle

Well, I bought it, but won't see it for 7 months.

I'm working here.

Will have to post later if the thread still lives.

What are your favorite omnibus/hardcovers in your collection? The ones that make you feel satisfied whenever you look at them sitting on your shelf.

Definitely this one.
I really enjoy how they adapted to the digital comic format later on for snappier jokes in the TF2 comics, but it does bum me out that it makes it less likely we'll get a second volume like this one.

Ordered Den vol 5 and the EU Transformers deluxe HC off IST. I’m not the biggest Transformers fan but I’ve heard far too much positive word of mouth to pass on it. In a couple days I’ll be ordering the Slaine definitive edition HC, I’ve been waiting for that ever since they announced the one for Nemesis so I can’t wait

Happy Birthday Anon

old pasta from 2020 - may still work.

What is your latest purchase?

What are you currently reading?

What book is your white whale?

Who was your main in injustice 2?

It's not that I deserted anyone it's just been a slow season for releases and I'm saying for some bigger releases near the end of the year.

Not sure if Edward Gorey qualifies as Anon Babble but Al Capp definitely does, and since The Enigma of Al Capp and The Strange Case of Edward Gorey are both written by the same guy and both published by Fantagraphics, I included them with my comics.
I'm now the proud owner of Alex Raymond's full run on Flash Gordon.

I didn't see you posted pasta before I did. Good deal Anon.

>What is your latest purchase?

Master Works Spectacular vol 8

>What are you currently reading?

Just finished Avengers Epic Collection Under Siege currently reading Wonder Woman by Perez omnibus 1

>What book is your white whale?

Nothing insane but really hoping to see Amazing Spider-man 2 get a reprint which is really a matter of waiting. The follow ups to Perez's WW are also out of print so I'd like to see those too.

>Who was your main in injustice 2?

Did not play

ww perez.jpg - 1755x2560, 776.63K

only owns 13 books

half of them still wrapped in plastic

This really grinds my gears

been collecting two weeks check out my collection so far!

Like a dozen books all in wrapper

Yeah that was totally worth it for the 23 up votes.

I would post a picture but I'm lying in bed.
In the last week I grabbed

Morrison Batman Omni vol 1

Dark Knights of Steel Allwinter

the JLI re-release from February

Aquaman: The Atlantis Chronicles thanks to the recommendation of some anons here

pre-order of the All-Star Western Omnibus due out in October

And then a few manga

Tomie

Uzamaki

vol 7-11 of Dan Da Dan

>the JLI re-release from February

I have the old ones and I really hope they make a vol 3 and onward. I absolutely DO NOT want to get the omnibus versions. I love the series but these ones NEVER seem to go on sale. Ditto for JSA. Really hoping they do a Vol 2 compendium. In fact I'd be pretty content if both marvel and DC started putting out paper compendium as their main line. Omnis really are overpriced as shit. Hardcover is nice but they don't even give you a ribbon the way DC Absolutes do.

Is the JLI tpb missing text from speech bubbles like the omni?

I'd have to get it out to check for certain but I do not believe it had any of the errors the omni had

Then maybe I'll jump on that train too

Not a single good comic.

The last comic-related thing I almost bought was last month when I saw a nice ex-library copy of Seduction of the Innocent from 1954, but the auction ended up in the 100s and it made me bow out. Now I have regrets.

If we're talking about a singular book then probably The Complete Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck Deluxe Edition, because I loved that story ever since I was a kid so it's got the strongest nostalgia connection and it's by far the most expensive thing I got, even though I got it on a sale that made it relatively cheap as hell and I could sell it for a profit right now. If not then my Hellboy and BPRD collection because it's taken so much more time to get together. The only one I'm missing is the Weird Tales one, which is rare as fuck, so I've had to make do with the TPB. I also don't have the various small hardcovers they've released after BPRD finished, and I sure hope they aren't lying about their plans to release all those stories in the Omnibus format later on because that's what I'm waiting for.

I've never actually read any of them. I pirated all of them from Win-O threads and other places and then bought them all because I knew I'll want to reread the whole series at some point, I just haven't gotten around to doing that yet. I'm very much planning on having a house with a library full of quality bound books (like Folio Society) and comics that can be passed down for generations without falling to pieces by being read, because I always thought it sucked to grow up with no family heirlooms.

What about the Darwyn Cook Catwoman?

heres mine
