I miss the old adult swim shows so much Anon Babble

I miss the old adult swim shows so much Anon Babble

Speaking as a God-believer I respect the former a lot more than the latter. Better to be wrong than to blather in circles avoiding saying anything of meaning.

avoiding saying anything of meaning

just because you didn't read it, it doesn't mean it doesn't have meaning.
in fact, that might be the longest coherent series of sentences xavier spoke in the entire series

Old Adult swim embodying "Left can't meme"

Grim.

TAKE THAT!
TASTE THE PAIN!

He loses the plot around "semanticalities"

Old Adult swim embodying "Left can't meme"

What? Are you retarded?

I have come to belief that there is no "god" though there might be some spiritual force or something, but we just don't know how or what it is (or if it is observable at all)

Rick: Expressing his honest opinion

Xavier: Making a long winded speech so it could work in the context of a Columbine shooting reference joke and also make fun of overly verbose centrism

Why we keep making this retarded thread? If anything religion was a more frequent target of mockey on Xavier than it ever was in Rick and Morty. You are very stupid if you actually watched the show and can picture Xavier as someone with consistent views

I liked how in athf episodes sometimes frylock was a spiritual atheist, and in other ones he's seen going to church with shake and meatwad. Or the plot of an episode turns into "frylock tries to make carl go to church and revive christ with a stolen dna sample so he doesn't have to escort carl to the strip club anymore"

Uhhh one side of the picture has more words than the other, so the one will less words is objectively true, based and redpilled

I am very smart!

I like what xavier says more, im as non christian as they come yet i do not believe theirs just nothing either. Spirituality has been corrupted in the west because alot of people think you either have to be some dogmatic holy roller or believe in nothing at all and that those are the only two options and i think thats just stupid.

the first 2/3s of this convinced the entire internet to pretend XRA was better than Rick and Morty for nearly a decade

Because it is. R&M got saddled down by shit beth and jerry subplots that harmon refused to ever relent on. XRA was hilarity from beginning to end.

Rick and Morty is stupid but unpretentious. XRA falls into the Teletubbies For Nofappers style of entertainment along with ENA, Cruelty Squad, most other abstract Adult Swim programming, Death Grips, etc., so I dislike it more.

Rick & Morty grew out of a shitty flash parody of "Back to the Future" that has the doc sexually abusing his nephew as a plot device. Whole franchise is just a pointless extension to an edgy joke that overstayed its welcome.

XRA falls into the Teletubbies For Nofappers style of entertainment

Wha... i am a chronic jerker and yet i love death grips and XRA and abstract adult swim shenanigans. The fuck you on, b?

I would legitimately rather kill myself than ever look at a frame from The Eric Andre Show again.

Nah, I disagree. Being confidently wrong is worse because it means you're almost never going to change your mind.

Blathering in circles might be confusing, but it's less harmful than someone giving you the wrong answers and being cocky about it.

You are not allowed to use the internet. I don’t fucking care that Tom Green knows we exist. He’s shit, Tim Heidecker is shit, Eric Andre is shit, you are shit. I will nail a furry picture to the forehead of your corpse once you die of a heart attack from finding out what anime is.

What is the 3rd show?

I don't see why you need to be this verbose to essentially make a watchmaker/fine-tuning argument.

Similarly, I wouldn't normal people to need an elaboration on the left-hand side. Like yeah, you could lay a foundation of anti-realism or general agnosticism, make the link to Russell's Teapot, and finally make room some pragmatic considerations for spirituality as it pertains to the needs of the human psyche - but all this song and dance accomplished is just formalizing a train of thought that normal-ass people already have a workable understanding of when they hear someone say they don't believe in gods.
If it's part of a discussion where the details matter, sure, but otherwise what's the point in repackaging the obvious?

Idk to me it just comes off as an enlightened teenager chuckling at a vase of flowers and mumbling how curious it is that humans gift each other amputated plant genitalia. It's not *actually* insightful.

starts his argument with: "There are Anon Babble posts about..."

Perfect Hair Forever.

Perfect Hair Forever

Ricky and Morty is a 12 years old show.

it is a old cartoon.

I don't see why you need to be this verbose

because the joke is that xavier turns the killer's idea of killing people if they don't believe in god on it's head by first constructing a centrist argument and then hitting the double whammy by turning into a jeovah witness in the last sentence.

because unlike other shows, this exchange both introduces a theological argument AND it's a funny joke

Rick and Morty hammers you over the head with the fact that Rick ISN'T the ultimate authority on anything, and that most of the time he's just lying to himself because he's a vulnerable cunt

I've literally never seen Anon Babble complain about XRA until after the hack. What the fuck changed? Or did newfaggot hack tourists flood the site?

I have no idea maybe contrarianism making people stupid again who knows

No one cares about your pretentious leftist Machinima and an abundance of jokes can’t replace being funny

IF YOU LOVE SOUP SO MUCH, WHY DON’T YOU MARRY SOUP???

I CAN’T, BECAUSE I’M ALREADY MARRIED…TO JUSTICE…

YEAH, ONLY A BLIND GIRL WOULD MARRY YOU

Truly a show with an ultra-complex joke structure mandating multiple rewatches to even have a chance at understanding all the multilayered humor
You know people are still discovering jokes hidden in Homestuck’s writing ten years after it finished? I guess that just doesn’t count, though

Rick and Morty is unpretentious

If you actually watched the scene it's very anti-leftist. XRA refutes and ACKs the murderous atheistic "progressive" cultural Marxist by destroying his black and white worldview of religion.

It's okay for a joke to just be a joke and not to be buried under eighty-five layers of irony and eighty-five million pages of dogshit like Andrew Clussy does, anon.

It's okay for a joke to just be a joke and not to be buried under eighty-five layers of irony

thinks the marrying soup joke is ironic

do you just use words you don't understand the meaning of?

What? No, I'm talking about Homestuck's jokes. My point is that it's a simple setup and punchline instead of something that requires you to swirl a wine glass and huff your own farts over. Also forgot the pic
Anon why would I respond against a post that's being sarcastic about XRA having a complex joke structure and uplifting Homestuck having hidden jokes by saying XRA does the same thing

Xavier is an idiot and a satire of pseudo-intellectuals, but at least his interest in religion and spiritualism is sincere despite "saying nothing". Because ultimately what Xavier is saying is "I don't know for sure, but I have a feeling there is something, I'd love to talk more about this". Which is the opposite of Rick who wants to claim there is no God because he hates himself and everyone else.

He’s a racist satire of dumb white men.

Rick and Morty

not pretentious
