New images of the Phineas and Ferb revival
Fuck, forgot to post the link.
We're officially in the dark age of animation.
That the most generic and formulaic show of the 2000s can come back and be "hyped" for doing the same exact thing you know we're fucked
its finally coming out
Here it is lads, the outcome of wether this garbage reboot does well will determine if DTVA will either go back to lore kino or decide to swim eternal in the sewage of reboots of old overrated dhows and simmer in mediocrity for the rest of time.
you're underaged
We don't even get this option. Ducktales underpeforming and Owl House fully bombing decided lore isn't ever coming back
Either this succeeds and we get endless reboots and mainline Disney films adapted into shows, or it bombs and DTVA is shut down
The owl house didnt bomb. It did well in ratings, execs hated it for being too dark and purposefully sabotaged and killed it because it wasnt sanitized saccharine wholesome schlock like what shitsney prioritizes
Either this succeeds and we get endless reboots and mainline Disney films adapted into shows, or it bombs and DTVA is shut down
Id genuinely rather DTVA get shut down out of spite against the forces that want it to produce endless reboots of bad old shows instead of making new lore toons
Cope troon
Raisins just got some new employees
I hope they do more with Jenny this time around.
Maybe this time Povenmire will finally get that Fireside Girls spinoff some said he was trying to do.
Everyone repeat after me
LORE IS BORE
WORLDBUILDING? BORING
Yeah like "OMG FERB I KNOW WHAT WERE GONNA DONTODAY :DDDDD" over and over again for three hundred episodes is SOOO entertaining amiright?
Worse, he's a shartynigger.
Do I have to watch Milo Murphy's Law to understand new Doof backstory?
Some of these background characters are looking uncomfortably Hamster & Gretel-like...
The thick outlines certainly aren't helping
aren't all the kindergarteners that watched this show now too old to care about this?
All of them
1000%
I wouldn't worry about it. No one watched Milo.
yeah what Phineas & Ferb really lacked was a two-season long plot arc where he gets addicted to pills
Yes. Yes it is
Not exactly. What is endlessly entertaining is Candace attempting to bust someone.
Oh hey, it's that one unnamed blonde fireside girl.
Is the one between Milly and Isabella new?
Its a movie or legit new season?
New season, Phineas and Ferb is one of those old shows getting revived.
Even in still images, it looks shite. If Disney--a corporation with more money than GOD--is gonna pull a move as cashgrabby as bringing back Phineas and Ferb of all things, the least they could do is give it an actual budget. All the elaborate marketing gimmicks they have prepared shows that they know it'll be a huge event that'll get people's attention real easily, so it wouldn't even be much of a risk to look into higher-quality vendor studios for the animation.
What's worse is that most audiences will eat up this animation downgrade without question...
What are the others?
I need lots of Stacy.
Yeah, they seem almost overdesigned for the show. Especially the emo character.
I think so; there's another girl that pops up from time to time but she had a ponytail and a different nose.
Hamster & Gretel
That show's ending leaving so little impact would be funny if it weren't so sad. I think what really hurt it was its core cast skewing so young. Outside of the mostly irrelevant parents, it followed either teens or boring little girls. What H&G needed was a Doof or a Dakota & Cavendish to round it all out. Instead they kind of went in the opposite direction with how much focus was wasted on Gretel and Bailey.
nah, olivia olson needs a job
lore kino
kill yourself DTVA shows had the shallowest and stupidest lore imaginable
I think what really hurt it was its core cast skewing so young.
I never really thought of it that way. I guess with Kevin being more the main character I thought it had a more teen skewing but you are right in that there wasn't really an adult representative like there would be in Phineas And Ferb. I wouldn't think that would really be a big deal for it's audience but thinking about it Doofenshmirtz is more or less the main thing people talk about in regard to Phineas And Ferb and Hamster And Gretel really doesn't have anything like it.
Vanessa was never really that entertaining.
Candace being old enough for her driver's license is like the ONE cool thing they can do with this revival taking place a year later. Meanwhile, King of the Hill is actively taking advantage of shaking up the status quo for its revival. I'm more excited to see something inspired as opposed to doing more of the same damn thing
wheres gretchen?
shes my favorite
looks exactly the same, they'll still find some way to fuck it up
Joined the circus and now works as a clown.
Which character did they have to make gay to get the greenlight?
thats kinda hot
Ferb
They have to justify two white guys being the leads somehow. And no more dating a girl 8 years older than him
yes, yes they are
shading
Oooo, their budget went up! Good on them.
The cheaper, lazier alternative always wins Anon. Don't get your hopes up.
