I liked the first season of Helluva Boss. Thought it had impressive animation for an indie, some strong songs, decent dark humor, and a few of the characters managed to surprise me with where they took their development. Season 2 lost me somewhere with them backtracking on the flaws that initially made characters interesting for the sake of focusing on more miscommunication-based relationship drama. It got to the point where I think it started to feel like a shippy fanfic of the first season.
Hazbin has ridiculously rushed pacing to the point where a lot of story beats don't hit half as hard as intended, and multiple characters are introduced with a big musical number only to have little to no plot relevance for the entire season. But I still liked the songs and premise enough that I could have fun with it, even if it's juggling too many things trying to abridge all the development they wanted to fit in.
