Can we finally admit this hack was hard carried by Paul Dini and Dwayne McDuffie?

Stick to the drawings, pal

Shut up, nerd.

That is an easy opinion to have, of which I also share.
But it's not as if he didn't contribute anything to the stories we love.

Excellent point.

I think people sometimes forget that Timm wasn't solely responsible for the massive success and quality of BTAS, STAS, etc. but to argue the opposite is equally retarded

Can we finally admit this hack was hard carried by Paul Dini and Dwayne McDuffie?

Admit? I've been fucking saying it forever. All the best Episodes of the first wo seasons of BTAS and Superman were written by someone else.

praising any one or blaming any one person for any mass produced media like TV or movies is always dumb.

McDuffie and Dini aren't exactly good eiter all the time if we are going that road

Every Dini episode: Uh somehow Batman becomes inompetent when le sad dumbo Jester has her le emotional moment boo hoo

Every McDuffie episode: BLACKS ARE PEOPLE TOO, JUST LIKE YOU AND ME, no don't mind me self inserting as John Stewart (and become the most boring member) and also ruining Hawkgirl with it

This. It's a huge endeavor that takes a lot of people contributing different ingredients.

No

McDuffie absolutely misunderstood All Star Superman for the movie adaptation

Go ahead and tell me any of those shows would've happened without Timm. It's a team effort and Timm was gaining influence over the years to get more stuff done. Just because he's not perfect and not all of his ideas worked out doesn't mean he did nothing.

He was a great animator and that's what's important for animation.

You forgot about Kazuhide Tomonaga.

Eventually he'll make Bruce x Babs not feel disgusting, he just needs a few more tries, just you wait.

sounds like a YOU problem

They all suck. Remember when they pitched STAS as a team up series to round out "their DC universe" and it was going to be Superman jobbing so the hero of the week could save him? Luckily a WB executive told them it was stupid and Superman deserves his own show. They later took the concept and made Batman Brave and the Bold.

Bruce/Barbara is FINE in the context of the DCAU, it's a shitty thing Bruce does but it's supposed to be shitty. The entire point of it is that it's part of the process by which Bruce isolates himself and ends up the lonely old man he is at the start of Beyond.

The drawings were part of what made the show so memorable, you dumbass.

McDuffie wasn’t the one pushing John Stewart

Spielberg won't allow it, The only way that can happen is if Spielberg/Amblin sells their shares of Tiny Toons to Warner Bros and that won't happen until Spielberg is dead.
He was talking about Tiny Toons, as in Babs Bunny.

It was Timm's idea to use him but Hawkgirl/John was 100% McDuffie.

Didn't Anon Babble once get McDuffie fired from something? I seem to recall we played a role in his employment prospects at one point.

He was posting matter-of-facttly about the experience on DC's own message board, anons were posting screen caps of his responses here, Rich the Leech who lurks Anon Babble posted those on his site where DC executives saw them for the first time since they read that site but not their own boards.

Man, I miss McDuffie

you literally have no idea what you're talking about you stupid faggot

Go back to spook dimension McDuffie

Is there any proof of this?

His wife pushed for it in the Green Lantern 80th anniversary as the John Stewart story.

McDuffie's name is on all the John/Shayera episodes.

James Tucker also did an interview where he revealed that McDuffie wanted the series to end with John and Shayera getting back together but Tucker fought to preserve his relationship with Vixen. Apparently Dwayne got heated.

I absolutely fucking love the ASS comic to where it's one of my favorites of all time, but McDuffie's ending was way better.

The biggest crime of the movie was that it needed to be a miniseries or a two parter or something.

:^U

He gets too horny with his fanfics.
And he has completely sold out, caped crusader was just boring.
Who wanto watch fat lesbians sermon Batman.

caped crusader was just boring

I don't think it was as good as BTAS, TNBA, or BB, but I didn't think it was that bad, so far anyway.

Who wanto watch fat lesbians sermon Batman

This basically doesn't happen outside of Harley.

James Tucker was right.

Paul Dini is shit on his own, he needed people to help him
I remember how Paul Dini said that Ultimate Spiderman was going to be the best superhero cartoon ever made and was going to blew up Batman TAS out of the water before it came out and that show was just a much worse version of Animaniacs in the end
Paul Dini also wrote The Gary Coleman Show, Garbage Pail Kids, Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H. and Wabbit so I'd say he has a way worse track record overall
the truth is that they need each other

Dini's Detective run was great. Though The Adventures Continue that he did with Burnett was crap, so yeah they're not all winners.

Dini's Joker is great because you can read all his lines in Mark Hamill's voice in your head, and it's a perfect fit.

Back in the 90s, it was Alan Burnet and Paul Dini that got most of the credit for B:TAS and Superman:TAS. Most magazines back then lauded them for it.

Sometime in the 00s, Timm started getting more credit to the point the DCAU was called Timm-verse.

What happened? Was it just because Timm stuck around? Or did Timm hire some good marketers to jack off his role?

Almost no one knows who McDuffie is. I don't think i even remember seeing him at Comic Con panels for Justice League when it was running. Maybe once, but i might be misremembering it with another panel i went to.

I like the DCAU but yes I'm fucking annoyed that some people call it "The Timmverse". It's a slap in the face to both Dini and McDuffie
