How does this work?
It works like a community toy chest. In the /coc/ threads you are free to post whatever ideas/settings/characters you want, but you have to be OK with other people playing with them (tweaking them, putting them in stories, using them for things, etc.)
There's no guarantee that what you post will catch on either.
If the OC you are posting is YOURS for something you are personally doing, then it would go to the "How is your webcomic?" threads.
If you just want feedback on an OC of yours, then it would go in the "donut steel" threads or drawthreads.
If the thread dies suddenly or you still want to discuss something when there's no thread:

Oh yeah, it's /coc/ time.
That crotch looks suspicious dangerous for a blue board.
Swiggity swooty he's coming for your booty.
He reminds me of Arlokk the Atrocious.
Good time as any to bring up supermoms

Shame about all of the scripts being lost because they decided to store them in dropbox.
Damn, that's unfortunate, but also kinda funny, I won't lie.
Your drawings are so clean, I'm jelly.
An important lesson learned, I suppose. Make a backup of your important dropbox files locally, people. HD space is cheap.
It's Mother's Day. Post some /coc/ MILFs I guess.
All that I'm saying is that this is a good chance to make/draw new and more Supermoms material.
more Sig Rune art
The problem was the only main version of the files was stored locally on someone computer and shared via dropbox, which invalidates the links if the account is deactivated or the files are moved on the owner's computer because dropbox also moves them.
Even googledocs is more reliable for this since the file saved there is saved to there and only direct action from the user can fuck up the links.
Ideally you'd want to keep scripts saved somewhere that is still accessible even if you disappear from the threads.
In the thumb i thought thats a Skeletor variant!
It is however possible to save local copies outside of your instance of dropbox, and highly recommended that you do periodically for just this reason. You never know the whims of anonymous, after all.
I wish I could, but I'm in a bit of a slump, everything I try to draw ends up worse than usual.
Am I about to get boned?
Still working on the Primer, on the way to the factions finally, i think ill skip to ninja for now then work backwards... most of the stuff like the attack stations only really have passing mentions but this part about ninjas will likely be genuinely in the primer.
Mainland/Homeland Shadowblades from their "territories" in Midland, the original homeland of the clan.
while many Shadowblades from across their "territories" from Dawnland to Nu-World share the same basic equipment styles, being ninja garb, some sort of mask covering, local armors and equipment etc. The stylistic choices can vary greatly between regions. The Mainland Shadowblades for example will often don skull and corpselike masks.
On the Mainland they refer to themselves as "Cike" or simply assassin, in whatever local dialect.
In fact "Ninja" as a term was taken from Steam Age myths from Dawnland, in modern times mainly used to refer to a broad group of peoples who themselves often identify themselves in different manners from assassins, agents, etc.
For example, the "Hashashin Clan" (which itself has a different name for its's "clan" ) do not refer to each other as "ninja" but something akin to "warrior", "Brother" or "sister" (as in monastary lingo) etc.
Despite this Many ninja understand the need for this blanket term to identify their organizations and peoples as a certain type of operative to hire.
it's okay anon.
also finished that Adult Willow sketch i did last thread and i still suck in drawinh hands kek
Rattle rattle rattle rattle.
If you're a sneaky knife in the dark then you kind of fall under the same cloak, yeah.
At least they aren't in a forever war against each other over something as simple as a term.
And yet no one involved with the Supermoms project seemed to have done that.
She's gonna learn how to use the Spirit Gun.
Nice!
prefer this over the AI slop that you used to post.
Also, since you are early this week, will you see Dynamo League in this week's Drawpile?
That sure is a thing you've got there.
And yet no one involved with the Supermoms project seemed to have done that.
Sadly it seems so. But, again, we can but learn from the experience.
Thought about it, and perhaps we should scratch the backstory of Moth Macabre. I originally brought it up as he could be related to LL via a past friendship with her dad. Take that away and the backstory doesn’t have any weight behind it.
Could leave it at nothing for now, or find something else later.
Thanks, I just hope I shake it off in time for the drawpile.
I will say, personally, I don't hate the tie in to Martin. Even if nothing ever winds up coming of it, it's an interesting thing for the reader, a sort of look at the path not taken- Mantis spared Martin's life and he turned it around, but not every crook is going to take the same lesson from that. Where Martin's past gave him a cute daughter with a no-kill rule, maybe another Firebug alumnus wound up in a moth suit.
You can still do that even with no connection to Marley's dad though.
You certainly can, but to my mind it doesn't hurt anything, and it provides a branch from an existing story. A retcon like "the Bishops were secretly superheroes all along" would cause problems and feel tacky, like Peter Parker's parents turning out to be super-spies, but "one of Martin's old cohorts did the Mighty Monarch arc" just builds the world.
But that is of course merely my opinion. Moth Macabre dude is welcome to do as he likes with it.
I just think that what I wrote has no weight behind it without the connection to Martin. And like said it doesn’t retcon anything, it just adds to the already established world. Plus it creates conflict. Moth see Ladybug as a disciple of Mantis and wish to crush her ideals, while in fact she inherited those from her father. That’s the kind of emotional twist perfect for a finale where the masks have fallen.
She's gonna learn how to use the Spirit Gun.
i mean, she isa mystical martial arts user just like her father.
also i based the green aura and Nature's martial arts on Iron fist's chi powers: files.catbox.moe

thanks! I'm trying my best with these.
will you see Dynamo League in this week's Drawpile?
idk what you meant but if you are wondering if i will join this week's Drawpile, then no, i won't, but if anyone wants to draw any Dynamo League characters, feel free to do so.
Not sure if i can ask for this or not.
That sure is a thing you've got there.
thanks? i don't if this is sarcasm, but i will take it as a compliment kek
Did you like it?
Thanks, I just hope I shake it off in time for the drawpile.
no problem anon

How would he know that Marley is his dead friend's kid though if they parted ways a little while after he left the gang?
I feel like for it to have substance it would need to happen before Marley is born and her dad, as a cop, is the one to arrest Moth Macabre.
I just spouted out a piece of scenario from an hypothetical end story. Multiple things could have happened in and out of costume leading up to this moment.
Though also the friendship didn’t end abruptly. It was a gradual transition. Could have been considered “over” when Moth wasn’t invited to Martin’s funeral (something similar happened to my parents, though the friendship wasn’t finished. It was just that the spouse was too devastated by the loss of his wife that he forgot to invite my mom and dad).
This is just my personal sugestion, feel free to dismiss it, but why not give him a bit of a supernatural angle? Nothing too drastic, something like a curse or omen that follows him.
I’m listening…
I was thinking something like a mothman effect, where minor disasters follow him wherever he goes, not on a big enough scale to be noticeable, but not too small to be coincidence.
I like his smug expression
I mean, as a villain disasters do follow wherever he goes :)
Though he could be considered the mothman of /coc/, like some people in Gotham doesn't believe in Batman
I realize that what I'm saying doesn't seem supernatural...
It seems like my superiority has led to some controversy
Well now I want to see Crackdown getting pissed off at Moth Macabre.
The scribbles are rougher than my color art though
