But you can't remove the Life Equation from Kyle, or at least nobody ever found a way to. The Godhead arc showed that all Highfather could have done was just access a 'backdoor' in Kyle's control of the Life Equation to use it for himself.

However, as Highfather in that very arc shows you can just straight up take away or redirect the energy from the Life Equation from Kyle which is what John brought up in the Cast. I think that, on top of the fact Kyle cannot control it very well, would allow a possible argument for Simon to drain/redirect/convert the energy.

Anon, the emotional spectrum is inherently unique to DC. In Gurren Lagann, there is no emotional spectrum and therefore, there is no energy tied directly to one’s emotions of anger, fear, selfishness, etc.

None of the emotions are inherently 'evil' per se, but fear/anger obviously are shown in a more villainous light. Orange/greed is also commanded by a single Lantern who is a villain.
Black lanterns are also straight up villainous zombies but mostly because they're being powered by the god of death and a guy who wants to kill everyone in the universe. Though that's technically not an emotion, just on the spectrum.

Greed and Love are different as Larfleeze is the only member because very other host to the Orange Lantern has become a literal conatruct inside the lantern itself and Love is mostly composed of females.

Yes to both. It’s a two-way street to becoming a lantern. During Blackest Night, when the Black Lanterns were roaming the planet, plenty of people had Fear detected in them, and a duplicate of Sinestro’s ring flew to Scarecrow’s hideout as he was experimenting on some civilians to make them afraid of his newest fear gas.
