New castings for NATLA

lol
lmao even

Is the first season worth watching? Everything past the OG turned me off the franchise.

It's uncanny how good these later castings have been compared to the initial s1 cast.

she was in resident evil 4 and sounded terrible

This is still going? I kinda hoped it would've ended up like Netflix Cowboy Bebop

looks like the Mortal Kombat character selection screen.

I liked it. the acting/scripts for aang and katara are a bit stiff, and they cut certain aspects of sokka's initial depiction (you can guess which part), but the bending effects are much better in live action this time, and the changes imo dropped some of the lesser episodes/arcs for better flow (could you imagine if shit like the great divide made it in? people have rose tinted glasses on s1 of ATLA, it didn't get good until the storm episode)

Some of her lines were stiff but i unironically like her voice more than the original.

It's complete garbage. They rip motivation from characters so things just happen. All the actors are terrible. Certain changes from the original show seem to have been made out of spite.

I've watched all animated and comics of avatar tlab and who the fuck are these people supposed to be?

You should know everyone here except maybe yangchen and fei. Fei is an original i guess, but yangchen is the airbender avatar aang spoke to in season 3 finale. My guess is she will also show up in place of roku in season 2. Also the castings for Li/Lo and Piandao are for season 3, everyone else here is for season 2

Ursa is Zuko's mom
Yangchen is the Air Nomad Avatar before Aang
Jeong Jeong is the white lotus Firebender who likely has war crime guilt
Hama taught Katara bloodbending
Piandao is Sokka's teacher in the art of the sword

Fair enough. Now you reminded me and I was ignorant.

Yangchen

Air Nomad Avatar who directly preceded Kuruk

Lo and Li

The two old ladies who were Azula's advisors, they weren't firebenders but they judged her training anyways

Ursa

Zuko and Azula's mother

Jeong Jeong

Kang's first firebending master, the first guy to defect from the Fire Nation Army and a member of the White Lotus

Piandao

Sokka and Zuko's master in swordsmanship, a Fire Nation citizen and also a member of the White Lotus

Hama

The last surviving Waterbender of the Southern Water Tribe, the Puppet Master who created Blood ending

No clue who Fei is. Must be original to the show

they have one chance to rectify this wrong, they better not waste it.

its genuinely one of the worst adaptations of any source material ever. It was universally panned of audiences and critics, on of the few times the actually agreed. Its not even a political thing. Its just genuinely bad.

They've already gotten a lot of shit for Sokka's lack of misogyny and for reportedly making Toph more girly

If they go Zutara then they will never be forgiven

unfortunately I will be tuning in simply for my wife ms Casey

the Puppet Master who created Blood ending

I wonder if they'll do a scene where she actually does something with the puppets that the animation alluded to but never used. I

I know her as Sierra

And Suren

and for reportedly making Toph more girly

That was just retards on twitter/reddit taking things way too literal from an interview where toph's actress was put on the spot. Toph isn't going to become a barbie

Outrage culture at work. Let's see the portrayal first before you start bitching about it.

Now I wanna watch it more, just so that I can have an opinion.

Precisely. At least with Sokka, it's understandable. but here i just knew it was trogs sperging

Smart move, that anon was talking out of his ass anyway.

Zombie franchise

Jesus.

The Last Fartbender

Stop......Right....There.....Leon

They've already gotten a lot of shit for Sokka's lack of misogyny and for reportedly making Toph more girly

Both of which are dumb nitpicky complaints. Especially the Sokka one. If they had kept it in you know people here would have endlessly whined about girl bosses and humiliation rituals and how the show is anti-male propaganda for making Sokka get his ass whipped over his sexism. It wasn’t a particularly good or important aspect of the character, it was a good decision to cut it. Especially when the season isn’t that long.

Sokka's sexism ends in episode 4 anyway. The whole "arc" is pointless and lacking in nuance. But it was in the original series so that means it is automatically a good thing.

shitflix

99% hapa cast
