What does Matt do again?

does Trey stuff while Trey does Matt stuff

Keeps Trey from self destructing
I'm not joking this was literally stated in an article once

Your mother.

Here's a snippet from an old article from 2007

jew stuff

I've always wondered if these decorative cutouts were something the creators/staff have to buy or if the studios themselves buy them for the crew. From what I can tell "crew jackets" (idk if those are made for cartoons anymore) were comissioned by creators. These cutouts pop up a lot in old office pictures/footage of cartoons and it just makes me curious.

Not sure how exactly they were made but I do know that M&T said they were done for the original pitch show the show (first to FOX then Comedy Central)

There are companies that make them for about $40-80 each.

Someone who's director had three of the same damn things made in the first week of production.

Nice, thanks fellas.

He is Troy's tard wangler.

Nixes Trey's dumber ideas, does voices, and deals with Comedy Central so Trey can focus on making the show.

More like he keeps Trey from getting killed

Matt is the grounded guy. Trey has big ideas but he's also eccentric. Matt isn't eccentric. He won't go "That's so brilliant! No one has ever done that before!" He'd go "Dude, that's weird." He can tell what shit absolutely won't land but you need that guy to keep the show marketable. He may not be writing the jokes but he's the filter the jokes have to get through and he's damn good at his job.

Budget stuff, communicating with the network, all that Jewish shit.

Reminder that Trey thought the World of Warcraft episode was so bad that he was genuinely considering committing suicide the night before it aired

I fucking wish, maybe he can give me some money

No? They just thought about begging to pull the episode.

There's an old interview with Matt and Trey that really demonstrates this.
Around mid 2000s and what it really shows is that Liane Adamo did way more lasting damage than Trey would like to admit.
A question comes up briefly involving Cartman's mom and Trey almost goes into trauma dump mode while Matt basically swoops in to save the interview

Please
where can I find this?
I 100 percent believe it

Drunken Cannibals is amazing to hear Trey, completely drunk, crash out on the bitch who cheated on him while engaged to him.

HE SELLS INSURANCE! I'M WORTH $3M! WHAT THE FUCK?!

Matt is Trey's Jewish overlord.

Win clearly.

He's the guy who does all the production/business shit Trey doesn't do. Trey keeps making South Park. Matt keeps making business deals related to South Park. They stay rich and happy. If Matt weren't around, Trey would naively sign any contract Comedy Central gave him without looking through it all and burn all his money on Colorado attractions he liked as a kid instead of just some of his money.

Apparently not just Liane the ho mom but Wendy was made to vent his frustrations about Liane. Well, Wendy was apparently meant to even have more of a role but Trey realized boys and girls generally aren't romantic, and Kyle fit her role better. Can figure Mary Kay Bergman's passing also didn't help, but then he decided to really put his relationship issues into the show of "women amirite".

He won't have to worry about Treyrager taking photos of his coin pattern baldness when it's just him eating the sopapillas.

It's genuinely hilarious how much Trey has become cartman right down to the obesity

that's fucking bullshit motherfucker

sex

It would be a funny gimmick for him to do that but he's too pussy to dive into the pool from the top of the waterfall

thanks to you i want to make a south park parody animation where it's the epilogue of the world of warcraft episode and stan would say "dude i really wanna hang myself, that was the worst point of my life that i've went through."

Serious question, say either Matt or Trey dies, does Comedy Central try to continue the show? It's the only thing they actually have at this point. Without them, the channel would have died years ago

He may not be writing the jokes

He definitely does this too though. Everyone needs to watch the documentaries.

Trey and Matt own the show. What they do is their own decision.

They'll never die. Someone will make a robot body and we'll have South Park forever.

Actually this pic is more relevant. But zoomers might not get the reference.

Zoomers get the reference if they have a good relationship with their step dad.

Confusing shit.

Trey split his love/hate for his ex upon two characters. Wendy was the idealized version of Adamo that he loved and is still, to this day, obsessed with deep down. While Liane Cartman is the evil whore version of Liane Adamo that fuels his dark woman hating that culminated in his "no means yes, yes means you are roleplaying a lesbian gang rape scene "Liane" that I will be watching up close and jerking off to/directing the actions of" with his stripper harem.

No they fucking don't. Stop spreading that lie.

Comedy Central owns South Park lock stock and barrel. For a time, until around the early 2010s, Parker and Stone DID fucking own the digital distribution rights (because no one fucking thought about watching TV shows on a computer) but sold them to CC for cocaine money around that time.

Parker and Stone signed a typical shit contract that gave Comedy Central ownership of the franchise and just have good lawyers that let them get huge fucking paydays and limited creative control over shit like merchandise.

It's why Parker and Stone are fucking doing shit like Tegridy Farms and repeatedly reducing the episode count every renewal contract. They fucking DESPISE the show, want to do anything else but South Park, but all of their other projects either flopped or didn't make the money they require to live life like members of the 1% because they still act like college freshmen with their first credit card, splurging on cocaine and hookers every couple of days and live from renewal contract to renewal contract.

And if Parker and Stone died, Comedy Central would simply do a Rugrats and age up the cast if not recast them outright and keep the show going.
