Reminder that Avengers and X-men should exist in a different universes separate from another
No, things worked pretty well before the X-Men was swapped over to a reproduction obsessed supremacist militia.
he thinks problems with X-Men only started with Krakoa
Midwit take
things worked pretty well
The unrelenting shitshow that lasted from Schism through everything from AvX, Original Sin, the O5 saga, IvX, ResurrXion, and I don't even know what else, is easily the worst era of X-Men to date and made everything from the Avengers to the Guardians of the Galaxy shittier by association. By no stretch were things working well.
Go read the original x vs a from the 80s where the xmen are consistently rescueing magneto from the avengers trying to bring him to court to answer for his very real crimes solely because he's a fellow mutant. I don't think marvel has ever fully ironed out how the mutant allegory is supposed to work.
That one at least had Havok constantly thinking that having Magneto as part of the x-men was a sin and the whole saving Magneto deal was retard
reminder
You're a retard.
I'm sure some writers have, but Marvel being Marvel won't let them do it properly
sounds like flatscan seethe
reminder that Avengers and X-men should exist in a different universes separate from another
if you think this you are a dissney shill
I don't know that I'd say it worked WELL but they were better at staying in their own lanes
I'm 100% convinced the people pushing the "Avengers and X-Men should be separate universes" thing are Disney shills trying to prep people for MCU Avengers and X-Men being different universes, or Marvel editors/creatives whining that they can't do what they want with X-Men. They come off forced.
I don't know about that poster but I think the problems with the X-Men started when the first X-Men movie did well and Quesada came on board and he allowed X-Men storylines and ideas that aren't cohesive with the rest of the Marvel Universe.
There's a lot that's very hard to reconcile with them existing alongside each other, though. Why do Marvel citizens accept, say, Thor, but hate mutants? Why do other heroes stand by when literal genocide machines like Sentinels are created? Every criticism Cyke aimed at Cap and the Avengers in the initial parts of AvX are correct and had no rebuttal that would hold water. Sure, these are questions that have been asked a million times for decades at this point, but I've never seen a satisfying answer to any of them.
Why do Marvel citizens accept, say, Thor, but hate mutants? Why do other heroes stand by when literal genocide machines like Sentinels are created?
Try reading more things from before the 2000s please
Quesada ruining everything as always
You can't answer.
Harras...you've been fired by both Marvel & DC. Let it go.
You have no argument.
Why do Marvel citizens accept, say, Thor, but hate mutants?
Thor isn't a race. There isn't a Brotherhood of Evil Thors declaring their intent to kill or enslave humanity, and there's no 'heroic' T-Men whose goal is to pull off an actual Great Replacement on humanity.
Why do other heroes stand by when literal genocide machines like Sentinels are created?
Sentinels were created to protect humanity from mutant terrorism. Behave like goddamned civilized human beings and stop chimping out and killing people all the time, and stop protecting mutant terrorists from justice and they'd never have to be used.
Back in the 90s the mutant heroes themselves couldn't offer a rebuttal to the government building Sentinels to use in case of race war, because how else were people supposed to protect themselves from threats like Magneto? The modern era ruined everything by pretending the Sentinels were always on patrol to hunt down teenage mutant randos, which just wasn't true.
I'm not sure one of the guys who did a lot to try and make Avengers and X-Men more of a shared universe than usual would be the guy arguing to keep them separate.
Why? Because that's the only way the X-Men can stay relevant, without any REAL heroes around? KWAB
You want to argue with sublime.
Go read the original x vs a from the 80s where the xmen are consistently rescueing magneto from the avengers trying to bring him to court to answer for his very real crimes solely because he's a fellow mutant.
If only there were more mutant characters who reject the entire notion of "fellow mutant", don't want to larp as a race, and don't think they have any common grounds with people like Magneto, Mystique, Apocalypse and Sabretooth just because of genetics. Sadly most of the mutants who think like that are minor league supervillains, or get shamed out of it, like poor Firestar.
I just think mutants are hot.
I only recognize Emma, who are the rest?
Lourdes Chantel, Madelyne Pryor, Sage/Tessa, and Selene
I want a moment where Spider-Man bonds with both Deadpool and Wolverine with the two being from different dimensions from the MCU you know the ones we saw in the third Deadpool movie. What if we had something like Wolverine talking that he only saw one non-mutant stand up for mutants in his world and he got killed by an angry mob cuz they thought he was probably one of them at that point giant reference to the time Spider-Man got killed in a bad AU of the X-Men cause they fought he was a mutant.
No shit.
Only because the X-Men writers really don't want to play ball with everyone else unless it's trampling over their ideas or vilifying their characters.
They can work alongside everything else. but most modern hacks don't want them to
The answer is that other heroes used to get shit on all the time, and the anti-mutant hysteria was brought on because of the likes of Magneto with the X-Men doing very little to counter it because they're such secretive assholes.
twitter found out about Muh Phoenix
It's worse than that, we have X-Men writers doing constant threat escalation to insane levels that basically radicalized most of their cast, and writing stories where other heroes don't show up to help because they, the X-book writers chose not to have guest stars show up to save the X-Men, then the exact same writers try and shame those other heroes for not showing up to help the X-Men.
They're also obsessed with having a large population of NPC 'civilian' mutants who exist only to get killed, so they can keep doing mutant genocide stories that get the fans mad. Just stop having all the NPCs in the first place, they weren't a thing back when the books were actually good, and then you can stop doing genocide stories.
Imagine Black Queen Jean whipping you into being her servant
Why do people only apply this criticism to the Avengers and not the X-Men for never helping out other heroes in stories and so on.
Oh, I didnt mention something else, for brevity's sake, but since you brought that up; also in the story, mags is rescued and taken in by another set of mutants in Singapore, who all know him, know what he's done, and worship him like a messiah. Most of them get killed off panel towards the end, cuz humans bad I guess.
another set of mutants in Singapore, who all know him, know what he's done, and worship him like a messiah.
And then he found another cult to worship him afterwards.
What do you think a legal expert would advise the X-Men to say what mutants should be classified as? Because I think the last thing they any legal expert who would hope to help mutants be telling down is to say to people you are separate species,Personally I think they advise it as a medical consol/genetic condition.
Yes, and Batman should be separate from the rest of DC. I've heard it all before.
Batman should be separate from the rest of DC
who said that?
People who wonder why Batman regularly gets CLOWNED, but has plans to take down the Justice League as well as fucking shooting Darkseid.
Don't forget secondaries saying Spider-Man should also live in his own universe
