Are human antagonists an underexplored concept in Transformer stories?
Transformers
Starscream used to have a mad scientist buddy, some old dude with a chrome dome. Dr. Arkais or something. I think there was an explosion and Starscream saved his life by making him more machine than man. Probably committed suicide cause we never saw him again.
The only human antagonists I know of are from TFP, Silas and his MECH organization. Should Headmasters be folded into that? Probably best to double down on Silas becoming a cyborg and explore transhumanism
No, it's been done several, several, SEVERAL times across the cartoons, comics, and movies.
This
I know One brought in a lot of new people, but please try to engage with the material before asking what you should know are obvious questions
Dr. Arkeville
If by "saving his life" you mean leaving him for dead and rebuilding him after the fact then yeah, Starscream's a pretty great friend
That sounds like it has the potential to get very annoying with the wrong writers. I like how Prime took it in the body horror direction. If for that alone, Silas coming back as a character in something else would be cool. Even if you had to rewrite him as a Cobra member as a part of this dumb initiative Hasbro has now.
Dr Archevil
Silas and MECH
Cemetary Wind
Mandroid
Most of the villains of Animated
If anything they're overexplored
Yeah the doctor teamed up with the decepticons for wealth or power or something but when he found out they wanted to wipe out humanity he rebelled, and got his shit wrecked, and they rebuilt him as a cyborg for his trouble. I don't really remember what happened to him after that, if anything.
No because human villains are stupid and lame and don't turn into tape players.
I kinda wish there was a faction of humans that subscribed to the decepticon ideology, basically to be the mirror to human allies like spike and sparkplug
I liked Meltdown in Animated a lot, he's really the only one there I'd like to see carried over in the future. And half of why is just because Peter Stormare plays him kek
did airazor even die in RoTB?
primal just kinda....choked her out and she collapsed
I know there was the deleted ideas to use her spark as a bomb and another where she gets shot but those dont count
forced stasis lock with no known way (to the maximals) to get her out of it? but then again bumblee was reviced in the movie so whatever
its played off as a death but it just doesnt look like one
What did they mean by this?
Nightbird...
I'm surprised MECH isn't a reoccurring Human antagonist group they're kinda cool
She gonna break his chassis
I think Starscream ditched him on Cybertron and he was never heard from again.
Whoever posted this a buncha threads ago made me sad, I don't even really care for her much but he's so mean :(
The fewer humans the better.
megatron was simping for her the entire episode though
yeah, but Megs always hurts the ones he loves.
never understood why these two got so popular when the only animated series where they show up are considered mediocre at best
Females
next movie will be a GI Joe crossover
theres only one group of 'cons who should be in the movie...
Windblade was never popular
Which is a shame, because I liked her.
I say we need more in the way of non-quintesson alien antagonists
wazzzpinator like drinking piss!
They're cute
Considering she's never shown up in a film or a widely-viewed show, she's about as popular as one within those limitations could be given that they still push her a lot. Granted, any popularity (Or lack thereof) is still being held back by a lack of normie-facing media. But if Reactivate ever comes out, maybe that changes.
N
what are you expecations for the leaked cyberworld show? best case scenario? more slop?
bumblebee as a main character...again.
ideally i want a return to a big ensemble cast.
what info do we have about it so far?
No, human antagonists in Transformers are always lame
Hasbro in current year
only other series mentioned in chart is for Pre-K
What the hell do you think
Unless they have a come to Jesus moment Transformers on TV feels as dead as ever with how meaningless they've let it become. Another Prime-style show that engages most of the fandom's age brackets feels like a pipe dream at this point.
Ok so I'm a dumbass who can't read but I guess this does entail two other mystery shows. I still have no confidence for either.
I think it'd be pretty funny if she went from silent, to exclusively speaking Japanese and no one understands her
biggest failed shill character since hotshot.
I think there was an explosion and Starscream saved his life by making him more machine than man.
That episode creep me out when I was a little kid. I still remember it. Kids cartoons back then had balls
Starscream forgot to feed his pet human
Yeah, that sounds about right.
This but with Optimus Prime. Bam. New hit show.
I still want one that leans into 70s trucking movie tropes but with giant robot soldiers.
As a zoomer, I have no godly idea what you even mean by that but please elaborate it sounds really fun
It may be the fact that I've been playing Star Trucker so much lately but I love the idea of some kind of Convoy or Cannonball Run type series where for whatever reason the autobots, centering around Optimus as the main truck/trailer, have to deliver some plot device across the country for whatever reason. And the Decepticons have to either chase or sabotage them along the way. You could go serious or comedic with it, I think it's flexible whether you want wacky truckin' comedy or fuckin' mad max with giant robots.
I think this premise also provides a solid reason to convince the decepticons to actually be, yknow... deceptive. To actually try to blend in like the Autobots do. By disguising themselves as cops, they can turn the human law against the Autobots - it even gives you an excuse to have a helicopter unit as the flying member since they always have the fliers. But most of all I really want trucker Optimus with his convoy of autobots. I'd put solid money Peter Cullen would jump on it in a heartbeat.
do a live action movie with beast wars characters
insert this random unicron plotline into it due to mashing scripts
"should the main villain be the beast wars character who is directly hinted at being an agent of unicron?"
lol no heres scourge instead
I hate geewun fags so much
"stardust crusaders, but transformers"
Don't blame G1 fans for this, you dumb fuck. G1 fans also like Beast Wars, and didnt want a meshing of scripts.
I wanted a Beast Wars movie and I also wanted a Bumblebee sequel. Never once did I think they'd make them into the same movie, and also try to shoehorn the leftover bones they picked from Bayverse's corpse. Like it feels like three mutated fragments of different movies sewn together like a fucked up human centipede.
that would be fucking amazing. i wish we got more experimental shows rather than fagslop or toddlerslop.
I would love this as a show. Let hasbro make you a showrunner.
How would you help make Bulkhead and Ironhide stand apart as team tough guys? Brawn is the demolitions guy, and Hound is the soldier
Reminds me of some clip of TF imagined in the same style as early 2000s Cartoon Network shows. Cant remember what is was called. Does anyone know?
for Bulkhead make him the more straightforward wreck shit with his wrecking ball. For Ironhide take a que from bayverse and make him the gun guy.
Scourge isn't from G1, retard.
by keeping Bulkhead's autistic hyperfocus on space bridge tech
>lol no heres scourge instead
funny thing is, given his vague Prime design, this is also blending him with Car robots Black Convoy/Scourge.
It's like ROTB was trying to cover everything from 96-06
Making Bulkhead the toughguy is already missing the point
One's red and one's green
So clumsy gentle giant?
human antagonists
underexplored concept
FRASIER, NO!
"geewun" fags have nothing to do with this. Blame the retards who run the movie series (paramount/hasblow)
I mean, even in Animated he was the tough guy, he was also a soft-spoken gentle giant with and secret genius, he had layers.
How has Kelsey Grammer not voiced a bot yet? His range is perfect enough for either Autobot or Decepticon.
He charges too damn much. Better to get the guy who did Beast in the X-men cartoons that sounds kinda like him.
