I've lately started to wonder if this isn't going to be the movie that brings down Disney for good. It's such a mess and a debacle and Disney's in such dire straits that things could happen and this movie could really herald the end of Disney. Considering it's an abominable live action remake of the FIRST movie the Walt Disney Company ever made, it would be poetic. One of those things that happens from time to time that makes you think there's a grand design behind the universe. Like how the British Empire was started and then ended by queens who were both named Elizabeth.

Anyway, this movie is doomed and I wouldn't be surprised if when it crashes and burns it takes Disney as a company with it.

A single movie won't kill Disney. The only way I could see that happening was if over 50% of the audience were actively boycotting it. And I don't mean in a political way. I mean in that they'd be directly calling Disney out for shit like demonizing their own legacy and life-long fans and letting a woman who actively trash talked Snow White/Disney as a business continue to lead the way for the remake. The shit Disney does to act like everything they ever did up until 2016 was wrong and that everyone was wrong for liking it is absurd, but not enough people call out this behavior to really get the point across to the casuals that this is an actual problem and the brand is rotting from inside and insulting its decades-lasting loyal family audience and calling it all bad and sexist, and they don't even mind employing people who shit on Disney themselves like this actress.

Snow White being the fairest of them all doesn't mean she's the prettiest. It means she has the whitest skin. Her skin is so white that her name is Snow White.

The looks matter to the story in all of those cases because the woman is meant to represent the people from which the story came or who it's about. There's little consistency in these choices beyond attempting to maximize the amount of non-whites with the cute omission of Kida from this scene because Atlantis isn't real.
That being said, you could justifiably rip any of these characters out of their cultural and ethnic context and throw them into another culture without an issue. It's only natural that all people want to see themselves represented in stories on an ethnic level. The central issue that chuds have with swapping is not actually that non-whites are getting representation, it's that non-whites are being inserted into European settings that they don't belong in as part of a political strategy to confuse, demoralize, and marginalize white people.
