It was only after the success of Murder Drones that they were able to recruit a proper team and start producing good quality episodes. Watching Murder Drones you can see how the quality of animation increases with each episode.

The mo-cap is pretty noticable, but everything else like the environments and other details make up for it. And then it just gets better and better with each episode as you can visually see how they've increased the size of the team in accordance with the success of the show.

The Solver drags Uzi and N to the pit to eat them with the rest of the planet - as Cyn / the Solver descending into the pit kicked off another collapse ad the Solver began the singularity at the planet's core.
Uzi was sent into orbit by another collapse implosion like with the first core collapse. Uzi falling into the pit, and then the bright flash, occurs at the same time as the intro scene of Episode 8 with parts of the planet cracking before getting blasted up into orbit.
Uzi getting sent into orbit was clearly unintentional on the Solver's part, but even so Uzi would have been kind of screwed if N didn't save her with the last DD pod on the planet. So if Uzi didn't throw N out of the pit they would have been screwed either way.
