Pantheon thread? Just finished the first season on Netflix and I'm hooked. Also MIST a cute
Pantheon
First for my nigga Justine
What was the point of this uglyass character anyway?
To be based beyond belief that's what
I enjoyed it for the most part. Best western animated series and sci-fi's I've seen in a while.
I really did'nt like the nigress charater they introduced toward the end, that wanted to go to mars. "Lol sorry kids, mommy is going to literly kill herself now sos he can be the first strong independent black woman in cyberspace." And don't get me wrong, I don't mind characters with flaws, but I don't think the writers wrote her extreme selfisiness and egoism as a flaw. That's the problem.
No one wants a girl who's weight and IQ are over 115
She won me over pretty damn hard
approached to have brain uploaded
"Would I be the first?"
Getting into the history books isn't a race, sister. It's about getting across that finish line first and foremost
I appreciate every Pantheon thread
BASED
season ends on cliffhanger
"No we're not going to release the next one, ever, we like money too much"
Man fuck AMC
I liked the series but the fact that 90% of the technobabble was simple undergrad comp sci expressed difficulty cracked me up a bit too often.
He can solve difficult problems not even machines can solve in his head
........NP-Complete
Lmao
Was there even a point to her character introduction?
isn't this basically serial experiments lain?
I legit couldn't beleive how good this show was. watched s1 on Netflix than pirated s2.
this is the best sci fi TV show since OG steinsgate.
Where i can watch this show for free?
She reminds me of Miwa (jujutsu kaisen)
The only thing I didn't like was the song used in the ending montage of S1.
Depends, was Lain about people being uploaded to the cloud and all the consequences that would come with that?
damn nigga you're based
Holy shit I totally missed she was reaching to hold off on the joint in that scene. She truly is bro-tier
was Lain about people being uploaded to the cloud and all the consequences that would come with that?
Unironically yes
Well then yes. It's Lain if it came out in today's digital landscape as opposed to the wild wild west that was the 90s
i will watch it then
WatchCartoonOnline is always a safe bet
holy shit S1 is EVEN BETTER on a rewatch.
any series that ends with "it was all just a dream lmao" is trash sorry to break it to everyone
5 minutes into the episode
There's an evangelion reference
Okay fine i'm gonna binge this whole thing
also Paranoia Agent sticker on her laptop
Lil Slugger cameo when?
Good thing that’s not quite what happens.
it was a simulation of a simulation the whole time!!!!!!! whoa!!!!!
it's just like my le fucking anime!!
Modern animators are so unoriginal. Seems like this show is picrel but for pretentious anime instead of shonenslop
It doesn't help that pantheon is a ripoff
its more than that.
It shares similarities, but the end conclusion is vastly, vastly different.
the only similarity is the "uploaded" part.
Seems like
So do you derive enjoyment from that? Being critical of things you ultimately know nothing about? It actually brings you happiness in some manner?
Surely you're not just being a pedantic ass simply for the sake of it? Surely you're not that pathetic, right?
How did Lain end?
Lain interact with people instantly anywhere, she doesnt need VR or computer, meanwhile the people only talk with other people using tech. And powerlines, Pantheon lack of scenes with powerlines
My problem with western animation is when they ignore the original source of references in Anime.
Patheon not have "Religion is bad" when was the entire plot of Evangelion
the tie to evangelion is more to the "will you step up to the awesome responsibility of what fate has bestowed on you? Can you even handle it?"
but I don't think the writers wrote her extreme selfisiness and egoism as a flaw.
Caspian: "She sounds like a psychopath".
Maddie: "You were right about Joey"
Do consider any story that features girls and computers to be indistinguishable from Lain?
It wasn't a dream though.
"The lives inside these worlds are every bit as real as mine, I don't see them as simulations because they don't".
It was still real though.
If some voice from the heavens came from the sky tomorrow and told you that the world you live in is a high tech simulation that wouldn't make you value your own life any less.
Hey now shonen used to be cool and not slop and everything after the pain's arc isn't canon anyway
