This scene is living rent free in my head. Its just really well done. Its tragic. At first I rolled my eyes when they were doing fucking reality hopping, but the handling of it is perfect. The "what could have been" with jinx is great, because its not portrayed as a perfect reality. Vi is dead (arguably a good thing lol), and Powder is still traumatized by that, just in a different way. Ekko is clearly being tempted to stay. But the scene doesn't hit you over the head with it.
Plus the french lyrics are somehow exactly about the situation of being torn between hating Jinx and loving Powder.

Why would Hextech stop working anyway? The Hexcore and later the Anomaly spring from one instance of corrupt hextech, the rest of the crystals are fine - only the ones physically interacted with by Viktor cause problems.

It doesn't make sense but whatevs.

My hope is that she's forced to make do with a single hextech crystal, and they make the full back-and-shoulder setup that was supposed to go with the gauntlets to begin with. Instead of gravity shenanigans, she's using an exo-suit to carry that weight.

Ekko became a Black Panther, using gang violence for good by forcing out drugs from the neighborhood and creating a safe environment in the hood.

Ekko getting to see a thriving Zaun where everyone was happy reminded him of what his goal should have been before he became obsessed with the negative

Seeing Silco and Vander hug it out and squash the beef despite everything taught Ekko that he "could" forgive Jinx and work with her for the future rather than try and punish her for the past

Powder gave Ekko hope for the future and Ekko in turn gave Jinx hope for the future

In season 2 however, the central plot starts to get fragmented, the hextech stuff which used to be just a part of the overall plot in s1 becomes its own thing and some characters are entirely disconnected from it (Jinx, Caitlyn and Vi) so now we have two plots which are incredibly vaguely connected if at all, and that starts breaking up the internal coherence of the show. And then we get another entirely different plot, the black rose of which all characters except Mel and Ambessa are entirely disconnected from so we have 3 ongoing plots all vaguely connected, each with its own subplots and they are all fighting for onscreen time and that is how we get a narrative mess.
