I really wish someone made a "lost cartoon" or "haunted video game cartridge" movie or show, but not made by someone who is clearly 14 and has more ideas than "i wish sonic.exe came out of TV and killed my parents"
I remember that Crow 64 ARG that had some interesting ideas, like the creator secretly diverting resources from the game to build secret egyptian monuments in out of bounds areas, implying that maybe building them in a 3D space following the architecture rules would be somehow equivalent to building them in real life to exploit their magical properties

Stuff that's somewhat plausible like "Pale Luna" and "killswitch". As for Anon Babble related creepypastas I like "1999".

The one where this weeaboo goes to japan and gets really drunk, and a homeless dude in a tent sells him reel footage from an unreleased episode of alf recorded onto an s vhs from nhk headquarters or whatever, where alf gets dissected whilst brutal noise music and a cacophony of distorted video equipment sounds ensue
would be a solid fake story if it didnt end with the cliche "the friend i watched the tape with never spoke to me again. he couldnt speak at all, the tape made him a mute. im insane now too. the fucking alf footage mentally raped us" like its just footage of a puppet getting unthreaded. Anyone in this situation would laugh at the tape, and proceed to rip the footage and post it online.
It's like the spooky, paranormal elements were added last minute. Why does this footage of ALF being killed make them go insane? Does it have supernatural demon powers? Because that's what it sounds like.
Not all creepypastas have to end in some catastrophic way. Sometimes, they can just be creepy.

Im not sure if this predates the lost episode stuff but there was one about richard pryor that was pretty spooky. i think the unexpexted nature of just some comedian suffering from some deal with the devil situation was pretty unique.

most cartoon ones suck but that's not just because they're written by literal children but why would you make a horror story for a visual medium?
