Shows like this prove Mike Lazzo's point that woman cannot make AS shows
Shows like this prove Mike Lazzo's point that woman cannot make AS shows
I mean, if you look at it like the old way of
Cartoons are products that exist to garner an audience to generate the company money through ad revenue and merchandising
then people's superficial characteristics are completely irrelevant and may the best product win. But today we live in the creator world, a day and age where shows are just the company giving you a lot of money and resources to play with and a ticket to fame by default through the channel's branding, and you have to include everybody in that.
How is this show btw?
Hopefully it's better than the pilot
They're in LA, but instead of mexicans, there are black people. Only black people. Only black people in all media.
It has its moments
Pit hair.
Trashy LA nigs? Sounds authentic. May watch
*liberal women cannot make AS shows
Okay then, conservatard(jk i love u even tho u don’t think like i do <3)
These women look like people I'd see at the grocery store at 5pm
Watching Common Side Effects
Get up during the credits to take a shit
Come back to this shit autoplaying.
I still think the summoning could've been a good AS show ( For a show made by a woman) but it will never be picked up because they only want slop
Yeah like the credits rolling.
Sorry to hear that, wish MAX still had the button to remove from continue watching
In Roku, it's the * button.
This is dismal.
Eh, I don't really gel with its style of humor but the episodes go by so quick with its short runtime that it never offends me nor bores me.
The joke is they talk like black people
I was pleasantly surprised by this. It’s not going to be my favorite show ever, but I thought it was going to be “YASS queen, SLAY!”, but it was surprisingly just kind of weird. The humor didn’t really hit for me, but the stories are strange enough that I’ll probably watch whatever comes out for the one season this will get to see what direction it heads in.
There is a Giantess episode in it... Make of it what you want.

I'm trying to think of female led animated comedies that could fit [AS] and am coming up short. Tuca and Bertie? I feel like it doesn't fit for some reason even if I hear that it's pretty good. Inside Job? Maybe too topical and not weird enough but I think it's probably the closest that would fit the format. Sillypoo? Their humor doesn't work for 22 minute formats. Maybe something like Nyan Neko Sugar Girls?
Whoever made this show doesn't know anything about marketing. The title alone is making me not want to watch it
Holy shit. These are the cartoon dark ages.
We never recovered from the 2008 financial crisis. It’s just gotten worse since then.
They're not meant for you, they're meant for everybody. Nobody cares about your irrelevant opinion.
YOLO
Meant for everybody
The cartoon dark ages
Yeah yeah when there's a shitload of ginger protagonists in everything nobody says a word but when there's tons of asian, latino, and black leads for a few years Anon Babble think it's the apocalypse
6/7ths of these are hideous in terms of artstyle and only two of them were ever relevant
Sarah is voiced by a woman but every other aspect is a man's doing.
Oh, you meant like, creative lead. Got it. Yeah.
To be fair here, who even can nowadays?
Literally none of the current crop of original programming feels like Adult Swim to me.
None of the shows have that surreal/experimental vibe that I personally associate with AS as a channel. The last one that actually tried to have that was The Shivering Truth. Otherwise it may as well the blandest, most mainstream appeal shit imaginable trying to be Rick and Morty/Family Guy clone.
Even the brief ATHF revival felt too "normal"
Ok, so that's...2 of us.
I really did give this show an honest shot and gave up a minute into it.
that my anonymous friend
is not an honest shot
Some guy at my weekly Magic meetup told me the show is like The Nutshack for inner city women, is that accurate?
Why is it that guys can make asshole protagonists doing gross shit and it usually works, whereas if a woman tries it she just comes off as a huge cunt instead of entertaining?
Sexist
Why Lazzo hated AS pitches created by woman anyways?
a day and age where shows are just the company giving you a lot of money and resources to play with and a ticket to fame by default through the channel's branding, and you have to include everybody in that.
Except that's ending because money NEEDS to be made.
I still think the summoning could've been a good AS show
Doesn't fit the block at all. Quit being weird.
They're not meant for you, they're meant for everybody
This isn't profitable at all for TV.
They're not meant for you, they're meant for everybody.
That means it's for nobody
Bro shouldn't be obligated to watch the whole thing if it's that assy to watch.
No, no one likes nagging cunts.
Probably because it was usually dyke shit about college life or whatever.
