"parts of it are the best thing you will ever see in your life, and parts of it are the worst"

If you press on from there be prepared for dips though one particular character in Act 6 is pretty great at least

This is the worst homestuck thread we've had in a while. I'd rather have the hypnosis guy than incest shota

Overall, yeah. It defined an era of the internet.
Acts 1-5 are notoriously slow but they're what give the comic its identity. Huge focus on worldbuilding.
Act 6 is focused almost entirely on existing relationships. Huge walls of text and drama between characters. It has some of the lowest lows but also the highest highs thanks to the bunch of hiatuses that occurred through it.
Everything else afterwards is... questionable. The writing in the epilogues/HS^2 after the end isn't *bad* per se but it undoes a lot of characterization in a way that feels more like a deliberate "fuck you" than incompetence. Apparently the newest updates to HS^2 are moving things in the right direction but I haven't read them yet
TL;DR yeah you had to be there during its heyday. It was more than a comic, it was an experience. Go read it anyways
