What cartoon has the most depressing ending
What cartoon has the most depressing ending
The channel itself
Ending of the show or ending of an episode?
David the Gnome
which one
All 3. But CN the hardest.
Emara emarities hero ends with her getting kidnapped and then a mexican stand of against her parent and the glowie of her series before shot rings out.
I think it was a good ending, sad but good
episode wise I guess heart of ice is pretty sad but kind of gets ruined when mr freeze appears again after that episode. Baby Doll is also pretty sad.
Hmm. I got a tie for Dot and the Kangaroo, and Raymond Briggs' The Snowman. Maybe The Last Unicorn, but that's more bittersweet.
Plague Dogs
Glad you found the unicorns, sorry that by becoming human you learned about mortality and sorrow and can thus never actually relate to any of them ever again while you still remain distant from us humans.
When the Wind Blows
what the fuck were they thinking?
Does it count?
Any cartoon with a non-finale honestly
If Puppet shit counts, Dinosaurs
the inevitable end of reality as we know it
Never forget what they took from you.
Is the depressing part that the artstyle will never be good again?
It will be The Simpsons because the only way it's going to end is if significant voice actors die and aren't replaced by AI. Even then, it will simply whimper out and have an entirely unimpactful ending.
It's never ending, it's too much of a TV institution. They'll just kill off the character affected and/or replace them with another.
Kim Possible still staying with her boyfriend
The Snowman is especially sad when you find that the story took from a loved one of Briggs who passed a few years before.
TMNT 2012 ended with the hero's failing and having to live in the apocalypse. It's probably one of the most intentionally depressing endings.
Star Vs. has an unintentional one where she sacrifices all magic and her powers, so it tries to play it as bittersweet. But it seems like the writers forgot the fact there are thousands of other people/creatures in the setting made of magic and imply she just committed genocide.
Would be called woke enviromentalist by groypers if aired today.
Knowing how things end up following the Legend of Korra, I'd say her show counts.
Bitch, would you have preffered for her to be kidnapped and imprisoned forever?
At least she'd be with the others
Okay cool, I'm sure all the other Unicorns are good being slaves forever.
Fucker.
Eh, they are very clearly going to do the
Actually, it was a GOOD thing and the alternative would've been worse!
twist.
Star Vs.
not to mention Nefcy had to do damage control and confirm she didn't just slaughter ALL of the magical creatures, so the laser puppies survived. It was the cherry on top of an absolutely fumbled final season.
If Waltz with Bashir could be considerated one, then it truly is the most depressing, horrific ending ive ever saw.
Unless it doesn't count because it is more of a documentary and the scene where "the camera breaks".
Sweet merciful jesus, that ending broke me.
Does this count as Anon Babble?
I remember 2012 tmnt cartoon ending in a apocalyptic world with the turtles having a bad furture, whiles casey jones was actually death. Cant even remember what happened to april.
Things can be a happy ending for a majority but still a sad end for some.
It must often be so, Sam, when things are in danger: some one has to give them up, lose them, so that others may keep them
They will probably adapt the comics in the future. There are good stories in there.
They were running out of funding, and environmental issues were hot at the time, so figured they'd kill off the dinos and put in some environmental message.
Silver Surfer.
Nice victim complex
Don't forget that the heroes in 2012 are all twisted, Raph is just sad, Donnie isn't alive, Leo is a mutant slave
