As a draw-fag, I seriously considered it, but I rejected the notion of using AI assisted comics. Maybe for background planning, but that's about it. Part of the reason comics and web-comics are so enjoyable, is because it's niche, non-normie slop and in that, you can go down some weird schizo and enjoyable story rabbit-holes and styles. It's far more interesting to read an autismo schizo's work, working at full brain capacity in their own way, than AI or mainstream slop. Here's a question, would AI improve works and the stories behind them like Goblins, Out of Placers, Two Kinds, Poppy O Possum? No, it would detract from that special deep internet flavor of weird and crazy. Hell, a lot of Manga on main websites like Webtoon and Tapas are just literally traced yuri, yaoi lady porn manga. The problem with comics is that they aren't worth reading. You don't improve that by pumping out turds faster, and nothing AI does can improve the quality of the fucking thing.
I think there has to be a certain utility case for it. Like the speech bubbles, come on, those don't have to be man-made, who gives a fuck unless you're doing stylized ones. Photoshop is already computer assistance so why should it matter if the stupid little things are AI?
Or if you just use AI to help storyboard and redraw anything actually final, so no AI is actually used in the final product, just to make preproduction more efficient.

Because it's an earnest attempt by someone trying to translate their vision into something other people can see. With AIslop you're just giving an algorthim a bunch of keywords and it gens a vague approximation that you have to cope with by saying that's what you had in your mind's eye all along. Some amateur putting in effort has infinitely more value than some highly rendered slop that only looks okay at a quick glance by anyone that lacks even the barest amount of discernment.

This looks half baked. I remember back in the early 2000s, I made a "flash game" that was a web comic maker but was just inspired by a dress up game. You select between characters and their expressions and just drag them on the panel then select a back ground and speech bubbles. You then type in the bubbles. I think Garfield still has something like this. If AI was going to assist me make comics, this is not the way to do it.
