Who has more good consistent “runs”

looking back it seems like the JL doesn’t really have as many “good runs” compared to the Avengers and certainly the X-Men! Even their rogues gallery seems more shallow.

Marvel.

Individually Batman has the most consistent good stuff

Avengers had several good runs during their first quarter century and then the Busiek run after that.

Justice League really only has the Giffen JLI and then the Morrison/Waid/Kelly JLA.

They don’t have an Ultron, Kang, Immortus, Korvac etc JLA stories need better writers

Sounds more like they need villains not named Darkseid

JL kind of sucks because superman and Martian manhunter can BTFO every villain together

The thing is they have them it’s just so underused! Epoch is their Kang and they even have their own galactus named Starbreaker. The Key and Felix Faust need to be more relevant as well

Silver Age JLA really had no storylines

Team books are mediocre at best.

Justice League is carried by being all the marquee names whereas Avengers has actual decent stories. There are like 3 good Justice League runs (Morrison, JLI, probably another)

Isn't JLI one of the most beloved comics on Anon Babble?
Avengers doesn't really have that.

Problem is that was over 40 years ago u never hear people talk about JLA runs besides them or Morrison look at the original JLA and avengers run the first 60-70 issues of the avengers established kang, vision, masters of evil, cap returning, new recruits, knee and skull war, ultron etc! JLA was doing random silver age one offs for most of the 60’s besides the yearly JAA team yo issues

JL. Avengers never had a truly great book.

u never hear people talk about JLA runs besides them

I never hear people talk about any Avengers run.

I know you are joking about the Kree and Skull's names but the idea of a war between people only using their heads vs only using their knees sounds funny. Also yeah to be honest I hear a lot more about comic Avenger storylines then I do Justice League ones to be honest.

lol it was a typo but that’s funny reading back

People talk about Busiek's all the time, Roger Stern's run was also great
I also really like West Coat Avengers

knee and skull war

kek

What are good JL runs outside the JLI and Morrison era?

The idea of these teams being marquee franchises is less than 30 years old. Morrison's JLA and the Busiek Avengers were the first time either was a top selling book for their company. I'd say they're on par for the number of of good comics but honestly neither is as strong a franchise as say, solo Batman or Captain America.

Marvel for great runs, DC for great one-shos.

Being old, I remember both teams being jobbers.

pretty meh

Yeah the league is more

Looks t these all stars together!

Avangers is

Hey these guys might make an interesting team

I think it helps that most of the og avengers lineup are scientists. Gives them a common theme

Only Busiek and it's really not that great.

imo the avengers really don't have any runs that go above a B-
Just a bunch solid runs that don't really reach great heights

DC has more great runs.

lol

Yeah, it's laughable because it's not really worth bringing up. DC has a lot more great runs.

X-Men alone has better runs than Justice League

I'd rather read DC.

Len Wein and Roy Thomas had great runs. The Gardner Fox stuff is really fun despite it's clunkiness, too.

Which ones? Because Claremont's run is not good.

I agree. In the silver-age, all DC stories were one shots. DC >>>>>>>>> Marvel.

Maybe DC at least it doesn't hate its characters as much as Marvel.

Marvel has never had a good run. Even in the silver age DC was kicking their ass.

Bullshit.

fpwp

I can't think of any genuinely good Avengers run. Maybe Busiek is ok. JL at least has two or three.

It's a well known fact that Marvel sucks compared to DC. Wouldn't be surprised if Disney shills were trying to astroturf.
