I don't think the whole nostalgia argument is the end all be all of quality. I remember loving Krypto the Superdog but looking back, that show is terrible. At this point nostalgia is just a really tired excuse for creatives and their defenders to brush off criticism, which is unhealthy for the industry because going by metrics these "fans" aren't even watching the new stuff. They're just defending animation as a concept.

Hayk animation had better art direction (longer segments, better character designs)
