When Chef died and they never apologized for not knowing what actually happened
Yet apologized for ManBearPig

season 12

You make the same fucking thread every day.

When Kenny wasn't getting as much episodes as I wanted him to.

Season 10, killing off Chef was the beginning of the end.

Isaac’s dead. It’s a little too late for an apology

South park started going downhill when they started defending and making excuses for the groups they once used to mercilessly make fun of. Chiefly; trannies. Mr.garrisons fancy new vagina was the pinnacle of south park.

But the decline started earlier in 2008 with the obama election night episode.

When randy become lorde the decline was irrefutable. The trannies whom they once mercilessly targeted, were protected and became off-limits.

When they introduced pc principal, there was no going back. That's when south park truly died. They signaled to their fans that this is a newer, kinder, gentler south park. We'll still be crude and crass, but we wont dare go after the groups we once used to. The jokes immediately became unfunny. They no longer appealed to a wide audience, but to the Hollywood bubbles in LA, Atlanta and New york city. Cucking during covid was another example of the downfall of southpark.

The episodes in recent years have all been horrible and humorless. I cant think of a single one that is more than mediocre. Some episodes have their moments, but none stand out. The final straw for me, was the kathleen kennedy episode, when they tried to excuse her malicious actions and put some of the blame on the fans. No, fuck no. I reject that wholesale. Not because I like star wars to any great degree. I despise the gaslighting and narcissistic tactics of cluster B types.

trannies whom they once mercilessly targeted, were protected and became off-limits.

They literally did an episode dissing trans women athletes that abuse their strength and beat up women.

They literally did an episode dissing trans women athletes that abuse their strength and beat up women.

They never addressed the root cause of the issue. They danced round the core problem of the issue. Transexual insanity to be allowed to play in women's sports. They instead shifted the blame to straight men being at fault and not the trannies themselves.

If that episode was made in the old days. Pre matt and trey cucking out. The episode would focus on the advantage that trannies have in women's sports.

South Park had a steady decline but the first season where they started making everything serialized and all the episodes were connected was the end for me. That season sucked ass and the one directly after it is the worst season of the entire show.
Then they dropped the serialization in favor of shit like Tegridy Farms and that's been the worst thing since then.

After the movie

The Heidi season

When PC Principle appeared.

the season where their prediction was wrong and they needed to overhaul the whole season

the one with the stupid skankhunt internet troll shit

the one with the dumbass Heidi/Cartman stuff

the one where Matt and Trey sucked off Elon Musk instead of ripping into him

Yeah that one sucked

The final straw for me, was the kathleen kennedy episode, when they tried to excuse her malicious actions and put some of the blame on the fans. No, fuck no. I reject that wholesale. Not because I like star wars to any great degree. I despise the gaslighting and narcissistic tactics of cluster B types.

This has always been the strategy of the show. It's just the writing got worse and it hit an obvious issue so the tactic got obvious. But it's always been to ridicule something but then bend the issue towards something else, so they get their jokes without having to address what the actual issue is. It's also obvious with stuff like the PC Principle. The goal is to reframe it as something else. "You don't like something because of THIS sillier reason, not THAT reason that cuts to the core of the issue". South Park is a subversive show masquerading as a show that cuts through the bullshit.

You are the definition of a right-wing, toxic fanboy. Transphobia and this “its never the fans fault” mentality.

Back in 2016, Elon wasn’t the piece of shit he is today, at least not on the outside.

It is and remains one of the only South Park celebrity cameos where they didn't even try to make fun of the celebrity, which kind of signals Matt and Trey's newfound lack of backbone.

Every South Park thread seems to have some autist with a hateboner for Trey posting this exact pic. It's not even close to being one of the common pics on an Internet image search so you know it's the same obsessive poster.

I think the Skankhunt one was at least funnier than Leslie, Randy & Heidi's bullshit.
It was the only story arc I gave a shit about... kinda.

How many times was this posted?

What's never the fans fault? The reboots made a bunch of money and Disney+ is nothing but live action spinoffs.

It's hard to say. I actually just got finished watching all 26 seasons and at some point the overall writing style changed. It used to be that the overarching story of each episode was really just a vehicle for jokes but it over time a greater proportion of each episode was dedicated to drama and plot development. That being said, there's a bunch of episodes in the later seasons that I really liked so it's whatever.

For season 27 I want to see president Mr. Garrison raping PC principal to death, lmao.

the first season where they started making everything serialized

The problem is that most episodes are just one joke with multiple variations stretched out for the whole episode. When they went serialized it meant the episodes had multiple jokes spread throughout but if you got tired of say, the joke of Kyle's dad being an Internet troll than tough luck because the entire season is going to be full of this one joke repeated ad nauseam.

How many times are you going to keep making the same thread you colossal faggot?

He's some sort of sick attention vampire that makes threads in lieu of healthy social interaction

Tegridy farms prolly

When they introduced pc principal, there was no going back. That's when south park truly died. They signaled to their fans that this is a newer, kinder, gentler south park.

Do you guys actually think we're supposed to take PC Principal seriously? The humor comes in the contrast from him trying to push politically correct politics with his dude bro persona. He's portrayed as a mouth breather and he practically has the mouth of Butt-head from Beavis and Butt-head. He wasn't even supposed to be a lasting character but Matt and Trey ended up liking him and to be honest he's a more interesting character than the previous principal which had practically no personality to speak of.

He's not that different from Mr Makey going "ah drugs are bad m'key". He's consistently used to make fun of what we call "woke" politics but Matt and Trey are in their fifties so they still see it as "politically correct", hence "PC Principal".

The real problem is the show's incessant insistence on trying to seem impartial and above both sides of any political debate. Take the recent Kathleen Kennedy episode. Everyone remembers Kathleen Cartman constantly shouting "PUT A CHICK IN IT AND MAKE HER GAY" because they repeated it over and over again. We know that Matt and Trey made the entire episode to make fun of DEI shit but then right at the end you have Cartman of all characters apologizing to Kathleen Kennedy and saying "I guess fans bitching is really lazy and lame too" which is not in character for Cartman at all but allows Matt and Trey to pretend they aren't taking sides because they don't have the balls to.

lol this forced diversity sure is terrible but aren't the people who criticize it just as bad? anyway we're better than both of them

Ginger cow

It's always sucked

Just like your English.

his son is still alive

the problem with PC Principal is that they decided to make him into a sympathetic character rather than just having him be a villain.

nooo, don't discuss this cartoon in the comics and cartoons board

Perhaps the colossal faggot you see is in the mirror?

Shouldn't have trooned out his kid

not enough times if you ask me

The episode where Cartman and Butters are forced to hold hands on a field trip was the first one that didn't make me laugh at all, so whichever season that was.

Did they really never apologize for that?

Tbf did we ever really NEED to know what happened with Isaac Hayes? Everyone just assumed he left because the show made fun of his religion, and he never bothered correcting them. It was only after he died that his son came forward with some other bullshit reason.

NTA but I don't understand the question. Isaac basically being in a coma and isolated from his family and friends by scientologists in their own hospital re-contextualizes all of the rumors and assumptions of why he left the show.

Why is it only manchild properties like Cartoons and Star Wars that have these problems. Like if you say The Great Indoors sucked you don't have to hear

Shut the fuck up you ungrateful sack of shit. This was somebody's baby. There is literally nothing wrong with it. You don't even work in the television industry so you don't know what the fuck you're talking about and your criticism is all meaningless. You're just a sad retard blinded by nostalgia for Home Improvement. Grow up.

Or

This show is literally woke propaganda hellbent on the downfall of western civilization and its downfall is proof of late stage capitalism and the global economic crisis.

S1e1

Cause you're not part of the communities that talk about how Bones became woke and turned to shit or how The Rookie kept injecting its "defund the police, ACAB" mentality in a show about cops.

Fair enough
