I would have made it completely animated and I would have kept almost everything the same as the original with the exception of making Snow White a horrible screeching mass of tentacles. Also instead of just being a vain bitch the queen would also be the only person to see anything wrong with the situation and is finally driven over the edge once she learns people find the horrible monster more pleasant to be around than her.
