That said, a single Sizzler Black is *massively* more dangerous than any individual VF and packs the firepower of a battleship in a single pilot vessel.
From the Macross side perspective, the only thing that levels the playing field at all are the superdimensional technologies: pinpoint barriers and superdimensional weapons like the macross canon and the dimension eater bombs. Superdimensional weapons *literally destroy a volume of space* and all of the matter that occupies it has its atoms scattered... somewhere else. Ejected from the universe. And then all of the adjacent space kind of explodes as the gap normalizes violently. The macross canon and weapons like it do this effect in a big fuckoff line that stretches for a long distance, and the dimension eater bomb does a version of this that just deletes matter in a rapidly expanding sphere large enough to eat up most of a planet from a single bomb. Frontier puts smaller versions of this same MDE tech into its bullets and missiles for fighting the vajra.

So discounting the Chakravartin profile description, is it safer to say that Asura is roughly galaxy level during his final encounter but that he developed a resistance to his mantra, soul, and mind being manipulated?
Pinpoint barriers, meanwhile, create shields out of condensing spacetime into an extremely scrambled up layered on top of itself mess such that there is literally no straight line through it. Shining even a beam of light through a pinpoint barrier forces each individual photon to take a randomized path and shoot out in a different direction from the rest of the laser, and physical armaments literally cannot do this so they just hit it like its an indestructable wall because they physically cannot pass through it. It is, for all intents and purposes, indestructible by any means other than manually un-fucking spacetime to smooth it out and in Macross generating a pinpoint barrier in front of yourself and flying directly into an enemy is reliably a good way to take out even battleships because their armor is less tough than your indestructible shield.
It should be pointed out, then, then Macross can mount FTL teleportation tech on their individual fighters, and they can carry many, many missiles.
I think that a full on drag-out battle between the Gunbuster ships and the Macross ships would end in a Gunbuster victory. Gunbuster's absurd firepower and ability to wipe out thousands to millions of enemies rapidly is no joke. But pinpoint barriers should be able to soak MOST of the damage that gunbuster tech ships can dish out (most, but probably not all) which increases survivability, and if the macross ships can land even a single Macross cannon shot or MDE bomb hit on Buster Machine 3 I think there is a good chance that they render it inoperable. The more times they can hit it, the better their odds are of breaking it. Which, considering that they can teleport directly on top of it (or worse, theoretically *inside* of it due to its massive size*) it think could realistically be done as a suicide mission that lands a bunch of hits before the gunbuster forces can respond, even if they effortlessly wipe out the macross ships when that response does come.

I think the Macross fleet would also have to actively avoid both the Eltreum itself and Gunbuster if they want to take out Buster Machine 3, Gunbuster because it's excessively durable all by itself thanks to it's Inertial Canceller and it's ability to tank ramming attacks from Space Monster Cruisers and the pressure of Jupiter, and Eltreum for being effectively invulnerable thanks to it's hull that's somehow made out of a single particle and what can best be called a proto Physics Canceller what with it's psychic human and dolphin crew that make the ship move through nothing but pure mathematics, any time wasted trying to shoot either down is time wasted that could be spent trying to disable Buster Machine 3.

Its worth remembering that in terms of combat performance, the Sizzler series is actually stronger than Gunbuster is by the time of the final battle. Gunbuster is larger and has 2 reactors instead of one, but it isn't STRONGER anymore. Hasn't been for a while. It is the protoype and the production models have surpassed it.
But yes, anything that isn't a superdimensional weapon is basically worthless against the Eltruem/Gunbuster/Sizzler series. A direct hit from a superdimensional weapon *should* destroy the Gunbuster or even the Eltruem (though, perhaps in the Eltruem's case it would actually just hollow out the internals and kill everything inside while leaving the now empty hull floating either in space or floating outside of the universe somewhere) but trying to outfight the Gunbuster fleet is a losing proposition. You defold directly on top of Buster Machine 3, unload everything you have at it, and hope that does the job because you probably won't live long enough to get a second try or escape.
At this point just send Basara in so he can summon the Protodevlin.

This might be a hot take, but I don't think post Mantra Reactor Asura really changes in strength as much as he changes in configuration. Wyzen gets criticized after his death for becoming huge because it was dispersing his strength more.
From a similar angle, I think that post Mantra Reactor Asura changes his composition to respond to the needs of the situation. Destructor form had jet engines to give Asura the ability he needed to clear the interstellar distance between himself and the Chakravartin avatar/entity and the next scene in the Event Horizon he is in a differently sized form.
So what about Chakravartin punching Asura out of that 6 Armed Mantra form and into his 2 Basic Armed form? I think that was an effect of Chakravartin's control over mantra letting him disperse the constructs in hopes it would weaken Asura. Instead Asura very quickly replaces that dispersed mantra and fights as two arms to reduce Chak's options for locking Asura down.
Or it could be some other philosophical mysticism thing from Buddhism.

It’s harder to scale Chakravartin’s creator form but we know it’s much ridiculously stronger than Destructor Asura, and Asura easily grew to the point he could just no sell Chakravartin in the end in base. I would put Asura at universe level or just below that. He’s already multi-galaxy at a minimum.

When Chak pops Asura out of Six Armed Mantra form with his finger, he says “weak, very weak”, which I think is him bragging about their absurd gap in strength and power rather him using a trick to disperse Asura’s power. It’d make more sense if he used the sheer power difference alone to completely humiliate Asura, which provides more catharsis when Asura catches up and completely overtakes him in return. That makes the escalation of stakes and power match up with Asura’s unending and growing wrath, which the Mantra Reactor acted as a massive increase in storage space.
Post Asura doing this. And then maybe I'll believe he's actaully stronger.
Bakugo is so much better a fighter than Rex its not even funny. Even ignoring explosion powers, Bakugo is just the superior fighter by far. Add in even the shit he was doing in season 1 with the explosive charges and rapid subsequent mid-air direction changes and Rex doesn't stand a chance.
All of Rex's explosions require him to throw a small object at Bakugo. Bakugo can effortlessly deflect these by making his own explosions in the air to scatter the objects before they blow up, or worse send them flying back at Rex. Its a hard counter.

Normally neutron bombs are supposed to be for making localized explosions, but I think it was described as being able to totally obliterate the Earth. Neutron bombs work by doing short term fusion and releasing massive amounts of neutron radiation within a localized area.
