I don't know, that sounds a little ambitious. Taeshi would have to juggle two separate plots with the exact same outline and pretend they are somehow different. Instead she could just be lazy and have them date quietly in the background.

Saying "James and Mike make a better couple than Sandy and Mike" is not a fucking attack at the author, it's an attack at their writing. You draw an entire chapter of 2 characters meshing perfectly well together and at the end of it you decide to throw the chemistry away and waste the reader's time because the cat that just poured out his entire emotional heart to confess his love to Mike is now... falling in love with a fast dog? Not to mention how "Well Mike just wanted to be faithful" arguments are flimsy because the chapter ends with... Daisy calling her mom instead of having the 2 main characters of the chapter, Mike and James, reflecting on the events that happened? No Mike staring at his cell phone deliberating on if his relationship with Sandy is truly worth it now that he's found someone who can love him for who he is (a GAMER), no James crying and being consoled by his friends that his huge confession didn't go the way he wanted? There is no resolution so the entire chapter feels empty, like it's a Sunday cartoon gag and everything resets afterwards.
"Make the chapters meaningful" isn't a criticism or even feedback. It should be a NECESSITY of writing in any media.
