s'okay

cant watch this for more than 5 minutes without wanting to switch back to Batman Brave and The Bold instead

what if Batman was cool?

Shut up fags

To think, they only rebranded to add Batgirl and later Robin all because the Nolanverse refused to use them and WB higher-ups wanted them somewhere in a Bat-thing.

the good

action scenes are much more energetic

re-imagine villains all being able to pose a physical threat to batman gives them a bit more personality, joker uses a wild acrobatic style, penguin spins like a top with his sword and chain, bane uses wrestling moves, etc.

a rare use of a younger, less experienced, batman

they actually show his detective work, or at least a token attempt at it, once per episode

voice actors were clearly enjoying themselves with how much ham they throw out

animation was actually good

neutral

super toyetic, his glowing batarangs and his digital bat signal were obviously for toys

the bad

some villains were downgrades over BTAS, like mr freeze

got campier after season 2 (can be seen as neutral, but the later seasons arent as memorable as the first)

some of the OCs for the show (other than yin) werent as good as the usual crew, lacking commissioner gordon was a missed oppurtunity

Batgirl was kinda nice…

Gordon is a regular in season 3 and 4

I like it in an Ultimate Marvel kind of way. Weird and different, but cool. I hate that they really erased Mr. Freeze’s backstory and made him a common bank robber, but his design has so hard.

I like it, but it did kinda fuck up JLU with the Bat-Embargo. But the Nolanverse also fucked up this show by not letting them use Two-Face or Scarecrow, so yeah.

TRON Batarangs go VWOOM VWOOM

Kind of lame. And I hate Robin's stupid haircut.

Bruce gets a subtle redesign during the series

goodbye hook nose and pointy chin

I really liked it, even if it was obvioisly a toy show it was pretty fun

I didn't enjoy it as much as BTAS or BBTB but there are some really good episodes and voice actors. I appreciated the fact that they at least tried to do something different or interesting with some of the characters like changing Clayface's origin story.

Season 4 was darker than the others. It only comes off as "campy" because they kept the season 3 theme song and added Robin.

all I can think is that one doujin

I loved it. Was my favorite Batman series as a kid and Manbat's design was cool as hell to me

weird but fun designs

Season 4 was pure kino. For some reason, every episode was a banger. Season 5 was a huge disappointment.

I really like it. Flipping the dynamic by having Batgirl be his first sidekick was a breath of fresh air I could read a title just about that for awhile.

Oh?

Got too bogged down by hard correcting after season one so it ended up just being BTAS lite rather than its own thing
Too many complaints that this wasnt BTAS and the new take on the characters put off boomer comicreaders
Season 3 is basically unwatchable because its just a set up for a new justice league cartoon that never happened

It's great.

i like the fact this Gordon was voiced by Skinner from X-Files, i wish he had more to do in the show cause that was good casting.

Rino Romano's Batman voice is criminally underrated, he's not Kevin Conroy but like he's perfect for a younger Batman voice. actually most of the voice cast is great, especially Kevin Michael Richardson as Joker, really inspired casting that on paper shouldn't work yet he brings his A-Game here.

Pretty gud, bit too much Penguin though.

That one Doujin featuring batgirl was pretty great

Mr Freeze WAS a common bank robber until BTAS added the stuff about his wife. I honestly get why they didn't want to rehash BTAS' most iconic episode. They were going way out of their way to differentiate themselves from BTAS.

some of the OCs for the show (other than yin)

Yin wasn't an OC. She was a raceswap of Ellen Yindel from DKR

I REALLY loved the Riddler's design. It's not the iconic classic look, but you can immediately tell just by looking at the guy that he's the sort who will go on tangents about how tormented he is by being smarter than everyone around him. He reeks of a guy who became a supervillain mainly to flaunt his intelligence.

It's really an awesome modernization, even if it was different.

Riddle me this: When is the Villain, not THE villain?

Monkey fist joker and the high tech firefly must be some of the best versions of those characters or at least the best new attempts at redesigns.

I get some Spider-Man vibes.

Underrated kino

I hated this series version of Batgirl. She acted like a brat

It came out by the time I was 7. I consider it THE Batman introduction for people my age. Everyone a little older got Beyond and everyone a little younger got the Brave and the Bold. We're the 1990s-2000s era the golden age of Batman?

I also had that plug-and-play game.

fiveheads

This shit had FOUR seasons??
