Marvel Rivals gave us Ultron attacking specifically mutants. The X-Men are for the first time forced to fight someone threatening instead of doing mutant on mutant violence or killing powerless humans. How fucked is mutantkind?

Some of the X-Men's biggest enemies are evil robots, they'll be fine

What are the Sentinels

This is a shill thread isn't it?

Comparing Sentinels, the jobber robots of Marvel any mutant can take down, to Ultron needs the entire Avengers or cosmic level superhereos who on their own are worth a Avengers team to take down is laufghable. Even Nimrod the supposed "end of the mutants" can barely deal with several omega mutants at once.

Judging from the fact that CANONICALLY Nimrod ENTERED so hard he crushed all resistance at the gala with one (1) bodyslam when Nate Grey, Phoenix Jean and Legion weren't present? Instant slaughter.

Scarlet Witch just says “No more robots xp”

Trusting Scarlet Witch to do such a spell without it fucking up outside her own comics

I dont think Ultron even needs meta knowledge at this point to know Scarlet wont be the one to stop him, also she isnt even a mutant but an Avenger.

It's easier to just say you know fuckall about X-Men

Adamantium robot

Meanwhile Sentinels were successful in killing every superhuman and taking over the world in the past.

I never bought the Sentinels taking over the world or killing every superhero thing considering how pathetic they are as threats and how most other superhero's faced/dealt with worse.

Maybe they got help from Ultron with tips on to deal with non-mutant superh4humans

I'm surprised no one has drawn either Ultronified Sentinel's or Ultron rocking the Sentinel colours and texture.

Sentinels like mutants are evolving robots. Yeah the OG's are just big flying laser shooting assholes but they detect the powers of mutants and shield themselves against the ones still based in physics and are designed to improve future generation so you get shit like Master Mold and Nimrod. Ultron is always gonna be the superior AI threat but humans are just really good at creating evil AI.

surprised they never had an event where all the hostile AI's/robots of the Marvel universe have war with one another and the superhero's have to just resolve it somehow and deal with this skirmish that threatens everyone else as collateral

How many even are there? Ultron, Sentinels, Father from Secret Avengers, Technarcy. I can't think of any others that aren't just offshoots of Sentinels or Ultron unless you want to toss in one-offs and fleshy AI's like Doc Ock who have digitized their mind and just plug memories into a clone body.

Sure could throw in the Living Brain, the Adaptioids, some Kree Sentry that got stranded on earth and the Spider Slayers to fill things up

The X-men/mutants are honestly lucky that majority of the heavy hitters are handling by the Avengers/Hulk/Thor/Fantastic Four or they are non-Shi'ar cosmic.

I know Avenger's villains are supposedly the A-tier villains but they always come off as unimpressive to me. They never have the threat that X-men or certain Fantastic Four or even Hulk villains have.

Doesn't help that the entire Aaron era made Avengers threats kinda unimpressive and before that you had Hickman more focused on villains vs villains. I think Mackay did it pretty well with the most recent arc. Kang attacked Grandmaster with an entire fleet and Avengers were stuck in the middle.

Why do they come off as unimpressive to you considering Kang and Ultron have wiped out countries, waste entire teams of heroes and generally affect the setting just as much as the rogues galleries you gave as example? Like not even trying to be rude just legitimately curious?

Oh and more importantly Avengers No Surrender and No Road Home are two books everyone should read for proper Avengers level threats.

First one has Grandmaster vs Challenger (new Elder of the Universe) stealing Earth to use as the arena for a game between eachother and the second is Greek Pantheon imploding in on itself and Hercules teaming up with a bunch of Avengers to save Earth from the Goddess of Night.

Because the high tier villains for the Fantastic four, Hulk, and Thor are generally significantly more powerful than the standard high tier villains for the Avengers. Hulk and Thor are also usually nerf when they are on the Avengers.

In what sense? Kang and especially Ultron are huge deals, and their cosmic jaunts typically put them in conflict with the Kree.
If anything the X-Men are the ones dicking around with threats the other heroes could quash pretty easily if they were asked nicely

Man, Aaron should be kept away from any Marvel villains since everything he does with them or how he characterises them Is the worst....though really any character or book he should be kept far away from.

I in general am very biased don't like the Avengers but most of the villains specifically look lame and have uninteresting concepts and motivations and stories in my experience.

Anon, Scarlet Witch is an Avenger and not a mutant.

They are meant to be huge deals but I just don't feel it. Sure canonically they are dangerous but as an audience member they don't impress or interest me

Marvel Rivals gave us Ultron attacking specifically mutants

Dude, did you watch the trailer?

"Here, there are no rivals, man and mutant-"

"Will be exterminated"

He's just there cause every super being is there, including Doom.

I don't want to be mean but you are essentially saying you got filtered

I don't see how the terminology applies here. I guess I got filtered by thinking these characters are not very good or interesting.

Yeah exactly, now you are getting it

I'd argue otherwise but honestly that's how I am with X-Men and their villains so I'll say agree to disagree so to not be a hypocrite.

The entire Krakoa era needed more moments where the Arraki's got their shit pushed in after thinking they are the best because they ruled a pocket dimension and fought demons. Legion never getting into a conflict with them despite taking over a massive chunk of Mars was disappointing.

send a bunch of robots against an island filled with mutant whose leader has magnetic powers

ultron should stick to harrassing wife-beaters

The entire Arraki shit was terrible

Man, if a wooden gun had Magnetic crying poor geriatric terrorist is gonna be sobbing when Ultron strolls in with golden and wooden bodies to kick his teeth in....also find better low hanging fruit then something from a Solid JJ video.

I think Ultron is made out a special alloy

The X-Men, in their "wisdom", will state that since Ultron was not specifically made to be a threat to mutants, they will not lower themselves to humanity's level by fighting him. They are totally fucked.

Specifically the Gala. Someone's pissed he didn't get an invite to the after-Gala orgy pit!

they are right thoughever
